This is not the real problem honestly, the real problem is that we don't have a skill tree/skill modifier anymore. Then, all the possible variety that exists in the game must come from, yeah, items.I believe, that the reason for this was a business call, altogether with the RMAH, now with the RMAH gone, maybe, just maybe the next step is to introduce some kind of control in skills, D2-like.If they implement something like that, then a lot of weight will be removed from the itemization, and builds will reappear.
D2 isn't coming back... get over it seriously. They shifted emphasis to gear instead of skill trees and so far it hasn't worked out well. It can be fixed but were not there yet.

Modding is what has kept some series alive and has made some titles famous due to the longevity of the games since they have wonderful communities that work hard to improve the games they love. Back to topic... More space please, there are more items and reasons to hold things in RoS compared to Vanilla.

Why would anyone want to make the game less fun for themselves?
    It's not us, it's Blizzard :P
Quote from dallten »There's no harm in that. In fact (and this I've been saying since the other thread that got locked started) there's no harm in either, but the thing is WHY they decide to remove the option. WHY remove something people are looking forward to? WHY remove something that brings another INCENTIVE to playing the game?
Because a fair bit of vanilla gear that is floating around can be turned into something better than most if not all lvl 70 gear. It's called balancing because they fucked up everything so badly in vanilla.

Charms were just another from of stat adding as well... 3/20/20 and poison charms ring a bell? In D2 at least gear could actually affect builds, charms not really unless you found +1 tree skills and not a +1 all class skills in which still isn't really a build changer just stat stacking.

I see a lot of me me me... as per usual... Once they introduced a level cap they turned it into a WoW based game for gear... every xpac will have a higher level cap and better gear to anticipate for inflated numbers. Remove the level cap and legacy gear can have meaning, once you accept and understand this you can move on. D3 is not D2. Zero brought up a good point moving to the new system and I fully agree with this points. Viewpoint 1: I have to replace my gear sooner than later = butthurt Viewpoint 2: I can't keep my legacy items like previous Diablo games = butthurt Viewpoint 3: It's an expac with level cap, of course you need to replace gear = butthurt Now continue my minions rant about the most overrated news of the history of D3. At least the cut content, nerfs, and AH news was a real reason to get butthurt. Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

Let's go with your thought. Let's say, instead of having 2 ring slots, we have 4 ring slots. And lets say these two additional ring slots are not restricted to affixes that can roll on rings, but yet can roll any affix in RoS. Would this not add a level of customization, depth, and add something to hunt and kill and grind for?

Now were adding more items with more affixes... RNG is this game is bad enough and increasing it isn't going to add more depth its going to add more frustration. Special affix for additional ring slots does seem nice but considering how bad item finding is.... more is less. There are balancing concerns as well. Were just stacking more stats to a system that it's already broken and people will just farm for the same stats that are already popular, crit, CD, IAS, Pick up radius.

The problem Bagstone is the new way of doing things, especially with the younger generations... Pay to Win. Without this concept these micro transactions wouldn't be so successful. Gratification is a problem and everyone seems to need it. Where this stems from I could throw a few ideas out there but gone are the old days earning things.

posted a message on Blizzard removes enchanting for "60 items", oh but 2.0.1 60s can be enchanted...

You mean in a new game (or half a new game if you don't want to consider an expansion a new game) you expect to roll T6 off the bat? Wow, I mean that's like going into MP10 once you hit 60 at release (even though that mode didn't exist, who even remembers how impossible inferno was at release?). I have to farm items and progress through all the T's.... what BS is this? I thought the point of games was to get everything all at once and move onto the next game in 40 hours.

Have a feeling I need to bust this photo every few posts the way things have been going... So be prepared.

I was just making a comment that enchanting is expensive and wasting gold on obsolete items now seems such a waste unless you bought gold or were a AH baron.

By the time I unlock the Mystic, and can even Enchant AT ALL, I may very well have most of my characters' items on board with Loot 2.0/expansion versions. Besides...Enchanting "Legacy" items isn't going to have nearly as much use as saving my materials for Enchanting level 70 versions anyway.
Don't know about you but I sure don't have the gold to waste on a bunch of items that will be obsolete within one day of playing....

I agree with your points CardinalMDM, but I have 5 useless 60's I can use for stash...well maybe 4 I forgot about my hardcore character ;)

Yay for more slots, I agree we could use more but it's better than a kick in the head.
