Well, not my loss... I find it rather weird, because I'll just keep playing out of Bnet with my resolution hack.

Unless they start banning for it ;)

Seth - I love how they just leave "Content" completely wide open to interpretation then, so that way they can claim "Hey, this is content in our book!" to whatever they do. I love blizzard...

What I think happened here is that they try to keep the biggest mechanic updates for this patch (1.13) and will probably work their asses off to add on lore/quest content + maybe some new runewords on the next patch (1.14) that will come shortly after 1.13. Lets hope :D:D

Diablo 3 will be out before they even think about possibly the idea of something to do with patch 1.14.

Anyway, didn't they say they were making this a CONTENT patch? If theres no new end-game content..what the hell kinda other content can they add that will keep people playing at the end of the game..?

Higher resolution, which we unfortunately just can't do because it would fundamentally change the game and require a huge development investment to have the game/servers spawn enemies farther out, have them aggro from farther out, and even then it increases travel time to the player... it's just a mess. Apparently increasing the resolution in LoD was this gigantic issue so I think the idea of increasing it again makes some of the old time programmers want to curl up in a fetal position.

And new end game content, which we do want to continue adding, but just wasn't possible for this patch.

posted a message on MMO-Champion leaks expansion info
According to the website www.mmo-champion.com , the trademark that Blizzard recently acquired of "Cataclysm" is going toward their new WoW expansion..

    http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=92919.0

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is the next expansion for World of Warcraft. Dark and forgotten threats that have long stayed out of sight have finally arrived on our shores, unleashing a cataclysmic event upon Azeroth and now preparing more nefarius plans to take it back.
Blizzard is HONESTLY releasing yet another expansion for WoW? Havn't they noticed with every expansion theyve ruined the game more and more?

    Discuss...

Sorry if this has already been mentioned or is posted in the wrong section..I searched for it but didn't notice anything.

    Awesome!

Hopefully with Blizzcon coming up, they'll start adding more content to the website a little faster..Instead of waiting 3 months in between updates. :)

I think the cake is a little burnt.

    The cake is a lie.

Anyway, I'll still be watching IRC and here for the next 24 hours, just incase there is actually more..Didn't MD say there was a press release about it or something? I don't see why they would have a press release for a domain name takeover..

    This was the BIG announcement?

I don't know that any of us are "shaken".

    Anyways. Oh well.

I hope not..Considering in IRC it says "2 hours till the announcement" and the countdown is still up..

Ofc, this is good news, but not worth as much hype as it was given.

Suck ma dick. I like the attention :).

You need one to get it sucked..

Regardless, all we can do is wait I suppose. If blizz is good at anything, its making us wait.

*sigh*, Blizz has once again (so far) dissapointed a large user group..In my opinion, they would make SO much more money to make and release a D3 than they would another WoW expansion

I dont get why they announced the expansion on the first day though...maybe an announcement on both days?
