HC is nerve-racking and quite stressful at times. So, to your point, it takes a certain type of person to handle it. I play HC SF, so the challenge is as high as it gets imo.

I've decided to go the exact route after some reflecting. Gonna try to hit 100 Paragon before expac is released. Given my limited time available to play, I think I can still achieve this goal.

As I understand it, you can't really make any kind of money on the RMAH unless you get super lucky or farm 24/7.

I did a bit a research and it looks like selling things via third party websites would be a bigger hassle then it would be worth.

I think I'll keep playing HC, SC seems so blehh now.

i feel they are both extreme ends of a spectrum

I'm starting to feel the same way. I just wish there was a way I could sell items and gold for cash on HC.

    I can't decide for myself.

Now that I'm back to D3 (took a solid 8 month break), I'm having issues with deciding between HC and SC.

Here are my positives for each:

    Hardcore
    - Death is permanent. (I like the edge it gives the game)
    - AH seems a little more reasonably priced.

    Softcore
    - RMAH (I like knowing I could potentially sell an item/gold for real cash)

    .....

I guess that's it really. lol. I don't know. Can you guys help me decide?

posted a message on [Disable Mouse Click Animation] Is it Possible?
    Hey there,

I decided to jump back into playing D3 (Probably has something to due with that expansion trailer I just finished watching.) But this time I decided to try something different by trying to play with a console controller instead of using the standard, mouse and keyboard setup. After some research and an hour of setting everything up, I couldn't be happier, except for one thing!

Is there anyway to disable the mouse 'click' animation (orange/yellow) circle?

posted a message on I haven't played in 6 months...
So as the title suggests, I haven't even logged in, in over 6 months. I decided to hop onto DFans.com to see what changes Blizzard has implemented since launch. Rather than searching through countless patch notes, I decided it be easier to just ask you forum goers and get your opinions on the games current state.

    a) Have they or will the implement a passive skill tree in the near future?

b ) Is the AH still the fastest means to gearing a toon?

    c) Is the new pvp (aka Brawling) worth the delay?

    d) Have they changed any of the main systems with in the game? (i.e. Gems, Sockets, Crafting)

They didn't even aim to make the game feel finished.

What a thoughtless comment, on what grounds do you make this claim, just meaningless words thrown on the screen out of nowhere.

Ummm. You've played the same game that we're all here for right? Diablo 3? Cause it wasn't finished at release and still isn't to this date.. They cut major corners after they decided to scrap the mmo idea and slapped this crap game together.

It's a shame really, because Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 were so much better than the latest installment of this series.

The way he words it is really well done. He does focus entirely on the points that made him stop playing (and it happens to coincide with the reason for a lot of people). Why can't everyone "complain" like he is doing? Reasonably and politely?

I'm not necessarily in the same boat as he is, but I surely understand it and respect those reasons. The usual whiners can just drown, though :P

In the end, even guys like him can always hope that things will be better in the future ;)

I completely agree. Unfortunately, the whiners muffle the concerns of those who choose to express their displeasure in a civilized manner. With someone like Force stepping up and making his concerns heard, in the way that he did, it finally gives the civilized player a voice in the on going battle to save Diablo 3.

Which if you do... that's your fault, isn't it? Nobody is forcing you to use the AHs.

I guess. Just like it's not McDonalds fault that 80% of American Children are now obese.

I didn't deposit a single dime into my battle.net account, simply used the money I made from selling items. Unfortunately it still ruined the game for me.

I'm totally on the same page as Force, the day after I purchased an item from the RMAH, I stopped playing.

I started out loving the idea of the RMAH, but as it turns out, I want nothing to do with a game where you can pay-to-win.

Oh well, at least I gave it a chance.

Hopefully Blizzard takes notes and doesn't include a RMAH in Titan.

Getting about 1 per day myself. Per Act run more precisely. Crappy ones but eh, it's still something. Woodwork, Sever, Schaefer's Hammer, etc.

Must be nice. I've only seen two since release, with over 200 hours played. Needless to say, both were completely useless and not even worthy enough for the AH.

I too am having issues keeping myself logged on for more than half an hour at a time, now. There is no point in grinding for gear. Just grind for Gold and then purchase your gear from the AH.

    Quote from bidmal

Or because Inferno became too easy... I didn't expect the nerf so soon, makes me sad.

The nerf was hardcore and quite frankly, outright shocking. I was having issues on ActII with 43k HP, 9k Armor and 850 Res, but was getting by, really it was just the OP Champ packs that were ringing my bell. But now, I roll through ActII and Act III without even having to look at what I'm doing. Blizzard f'd something up bad.

This is what Blizzard gets for turning into a money hungry corporation. Bottom-line mentalilty will be the end of this company.,

posted a message on Looking to start a new farming character
    Quote from Hexaholic

I've come to the conclusion that DH is amazing at farming, so long as I don't run into anything that is fast, invulnerable minion, or reflect damage (as I'll usually 1 shot myself with Ball of Lightning).

I've decided to take a break from the DH, and build a new farming toon, and was thinking about going Barb. I've seen a few streams, and a few people, playing extremely tanky Barbs, and it seems like it would be a decent farmer for Act 3.

Any thoughts on this, or advice, would be greatly appreciated. Basically just wondering what would be a good Act 3 solo Farmer (I have no friends that play anymore).

I'd recommend a Monk over Barb as a farming toon. Barbs self heals arn't as powerful as the Monks. Also, look for a good LoH weapon(s).
