I saw this suggestion on the main forums a while back about skill swapping, you can do it in town or within X amount of yards of a waypoint. I think that would keep the player in the action without having to go all the way back to town. I just think being able to switch skills while fighting is going to be abused if some kind of limit is not put on it.
As far as the runes go im not going to knock it until I have tried it. I wish they would just put them in the beta now for us to test out.

I remember in Dungeon Siege II whenever a unique/set item would drop it would make a resounding boom when it hit the ground, clearly indentifying itself. I was always so excited to hear that sound.
This doesn't sound like a bad idea, a monster dies and if a legendary is dropped everyone hears this iconic sound that a legendary was dropped but by who is anyone's guess.
And as far as blacklisting goes there will be millions of players so if a couple of people don't want to party with me because I don't link my loot, it'll be no sweat off my back. I will just leave the game and find another one.

There's an option to "copy-paste" an item into the chat box for everyone else to see. I suppose if your mate lucked out, he'd definitely tell you about it.
This is better than a notification popping up as well since it gives the other player a choice since he might not want you to know what he just found.
To put the item in the chat window you hold the shift key and left click on the item you want to be linked to chat.
I do like the idea but only if I am with friends so my vote would be to have it with a toggle to turn it off.
Sep 15, 2011I couldn't get a straight answer, go figure.....Posted in: Off-Topic
ME: I am looking for answers.
Cleverbot: What job are you looking for?
ME: The job is Beta Tester for Diablo 3, no pay, great benifits.
Cleverbot: That's quite a goal. Are you sure you can find a job like that?
ME: Well it's a random draw for who gets the "job" but I feel like I am the best canidate.
Cleverbot: Hmmm, that's pretty neat.
ME: I need you to tell me if I am going to be picked. I can't stand waiting any longer.
ME: What kind of an answer is that, is your name Bashiok by chance. That sounds like something he would say.
Cleverbot: An honest one. If it's not good enough for you, then that's your problem. I've done about as much as I can do.

Keep in mind thats from 2 blizzcons ago.
I understand that, but you can clearly see that it has some kind of cooldown and he is recasting it before the cooldown is up.
Sep 13, 2011this is 3rd hand info but someone said they saw this in game before it went down.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
servers are supposed to come back on 12:30 PDT... and at the end of the comment it said that the demon slaughtering will commense.
I did confrim the 2hr downtime w/ brobafett's live stream he is play SC2 now.
Sep 12, 2011Can't get enough of these screenshots... I really like the one that had the character tab open with the details open also, I am so glad I don't have to bust out the old pen and paper and add up all my MF%. Anyone know if there are anymore screens of that detail page that was the first I had seen it and it looks like it scrolls up and probably has more stats on it.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
PS. screw the rain dance, I will be doing the BETA dance all day long.
Sep 9, 2011I guessing that they do have access now, and I am willing to bet very shortly after their NDA is lifted they will have tons of videos that will be ready to go, meaning there would of been no way they could have recorded in that short period of time, and have been playing for an extended period of time.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Sep 9, 2011I like it just the way it is, every once in awhile you get the companion and it helps you out for a short period of time, I don't hear anyone complaining that the shrine that gives you extra xp for a short period of time. I mean really you don't have to pick up your gold anyway you just have to walk near it so there isn't much of an advantage here. I just think this is the tip of the iceberg with these little additions like the companion and the treasure goblin I think even more random things like this will exist forcing you to cover every inch of the map.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Sep 8, 2011he is offline currently but there are a few recored shows you can view. But when he goes live he answers questions and will show you things that you ask for.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Sep 8, 2011I was watching a stream this morning and the person hosting it said he was just invited to the beta this morning and he is a F&F. Also someone in the chat also said that he was suppose to be in the F&F but hasn't got an invite yet. So it looks like the public closed beta is going to be a week away in my estimation. Hopefully there are only a few more waves of F&F that get added then it will be the publics turn to get added. Also it is a very good stream he will answer your questions and show you things if you ask him. I will add it to the stream topic as well.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Sep 4, 2011I would think a Cooldown between skill changes of maybe 5 mins, or just having to be out of combat would be sufficent. I think once you start getting closer to end game having runes in your skills is going to be important and since it will probably take a lifetime to get lvl. 7 runes for every skill I think you will pretty much have your fav. 6 skills selected by endgame so swapping skills after every fight won't happen as much.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Aug 2, 2011I can't belive I haven't see this mentioned but I think one thing that people are missing the most is the option to be able to trade item for item. I know you still can but you have to do it in D2 sytle creating a game called "Godly Axe 4ur Godly Staff." Why can't they add a function to the auction house that puts the Item I want to trade up on the block, the kicker is I must be online for it to show up on the Block. So if me a buyer is looking through the AH and see someone has a Godly Axe for trade I can click on it and join that persons game or chat channel and we can hash out a trade just like we used to. Once in the game the trade window comes up w/ the item you want and then you can drag your offer over to the trade window and they can either accept it or deny it. Also you could have a comment field in the Trade Auction so you could give a brief description of what you are looking to get for that Godly Axe. That way it would cut down on someone entering the room and then seeing your a Wizard so you probably don't want a Bow for that Godly Axe.Posted in: News
This way you would have 4 options for getting gear.
1.) Kill the Monsters yourself and get it.
2.) Find the item you want on the Gold AH, this requires you having ingame Gold
3.) Find the item you want on the $$ AH, this requires you to have an e-balance
4.) Find the item you want on the Trade AH, this requires you to have gold, or any other item that you can trade.
I think this would be good for every type of player, It would definitely give the "Purist" the option to not have to sell that item for $$ and then buy something for $$. Even though money never came out of their pockets.
Come on Blizz please incorporate this version of item for item trade I think it would make everyone happy.
