posted a message on Blizzard Quote about leveling

    Official Blizzard Quote:

Our intent is to create a fairly smooth leveling curve between difficulties. When you finish Normal you should be around 30, and you’ll be ready for Nightmare, you should be around 50 when you finish Nightmare, and you’ll be ready for Hell, and when you finish Hell you should be around 60, and ready for Inferno.

We don’t expect that people are going to play start to finish, Normal to Inferno, in one sitting. Because of that it implies replays of specific areas (as enemies/bosses respawn when you leave and start a new game) which adds in some guess work on XP gains. It may be that you need to stick around in Hell difficulty for a bit longer because you beat the game at level 58 or something, but it shouldn’t be a long drawn out XP farming situation just so you can advance – if we do it right.Again, personal play habits will influence leveling curves but we’ll do our best to make it smooth.
I'm glad to know this. (bold text)

Are you sure that that is Blinding Flash? I thought we saw Blinding Flash during the B-Roll? The yellow light the male Monk is using.

    From incgamers :

"A Monk uses his Blinding Flash skill to debuff some undead while assisting the Blacksmith on his filicidal quest.

Screenshot released August 14, 2011, on the Gamescom press kit."

    I guess it is. :P

Are there any good alternatives to the Nvidia Control Panel for adjusting color, contrast, saturation, or even individual values for each color?

    Just curious. Thanks

It was a picture of the game on a monitor. Actually a snapshot of a video and the monitor was angled to the camera, which was then altered in, I assume, photoshop to make it less...diagonal...if you will. Anyway, yea its a cruddy pic

posted a message on Competitive gamers
This thread took a strange turn. Here's what I personally took from the OP.

The group of PvPers who exclusively play to win can be, in his opinion, rude and are poor sportsman. The two most important words in that sentence are: group and can

I think he wishes some gamers would slow down, play for fun, and enjoy the pleasant entertainment. Keyword: some

If you don't think he should lump all PvPers into one group because you're an example of a competitive gamer that does enjoy other experiences...then you're not who he was talking about and should not feel offended. I thought his OP was clear about the specific type of players and who it applied to, in his eyes.

We all know who he's talking about. I thought.

I imagine for Barbarian tank builds a shield and the Iron Skin trait will be pretty standard.

    I believe that.

I've seen passives that increase block amount/chance. And they've stated that every class can utilize a shield.

Whether or not they intend to 'lower the usefulness' of shields in D3, is up for debate. I doubt it however. :)

Let me preface my reply by saying, I'm certainly no Econ major.

I would *think the RMAH will 'kill on the spot trading', but that depends...I think.

If you find an item worth $10 on the RMAH, but the item is worth 10,000 gold, and gold goes for 1,000 gold for $1, then you would break even, in terms of profit differential between RMAH/GCAH.

If gold goes for more than that, then you'd be wise to not sell that item because you wouldn't be making as much as you could. I'd sell that item for GOLD and then sell that gold. This doesn't make sense...does it..?

What I'm trying to get across is if the gold to RM has not established an equilibrium in exchange rate, you'd want to make sure you're not losing out.

    I think...
