Seriously? By looking at your posts I would say that you haven't even finished nightmare on Diablo 2... Come on, nightmare/Hell on Diablo 3 are way easier (save for a few packs) than Diablo 2. The really hard stuff only starts at inferno Act 2.Quote from Olden Soul
Lmao, no. I bought this game because I've patiently waited 11 years to play it because I've been playing since the release of Diablo 1. I am complaining because they were in development for so long, and only now they are removing and balancing. I love Diablo, I love the lore, and I love the style of the game, but I simply cannot accept or condone Blizzards actions on how they are handling
Let me guess, you play softcore. It took me under 15 hours on hardcore to beat d2 on a ladder reset, still not done with hell on hardcore at around 50 hours on d3( to be fair, part of it was mfing gear for lower characters), either way, d3 is way harder if you play hardcore.

I agree, I always thought the actual feel of diablo 1 was better than diablo 2 even if diablo 2 was more fun due to being faster paced/more skills/more items/better pvp. The look of diablo 1 with better graphics would be better as well in my opinion. After 18 years, I can still picture almost all of diablo 1.
As for the complaints about auction house and buying pvp power. That still existed on d2 unofficially and didn't make that big of a difference. If you want REAL pvp, play hardcore, it's where I've been since the start and will continue into on d3 and I'll guarantee you have a ton more fun PvP on hardcore. That is of course, if you have talent.

They aren't asking for some huge E-Sports level PvP. They just want a few simple things that would make PvP a bit more enjoyable than d2s PvP. The thing that irritates PvP players most is that it seems that instead of even just letting PvP happen, it seems that they purposely want to KILL it. It's one thing to ignore balancing and so forth but to potentially actively try to remove it without actually removing it. The only reason they appear to be keeping PvP in any fashion is just to get more sales out of the game. The "arena mode" doesn't count as them trying to give us PvP, especially if they make it like halos bullshit battles.

It could also function as more of a small clan website/forum so you don't have to go outside of the game to interact for clan purposes unless you want a full on message board or have something else for going outside.
Tons of things you could do, it could display members ranks, what they are in charge of, could show new recruits and allow members to vote on them. Options are pretty limitless.
I also believe that the ability to moderate is HUGE in running a clan channel, otherwise you can't handle kids that aren't in the guild in your own "private" area.

Shared stash?
Customizable chat rooms?
Links to clan website in clan channel?
Message boards for clan members
I imagine you could come up with a ton more, those were just a few thoughts off the top of my head.

Agreed, otherwise it's just a glorified friends list.

It's already been 10 years since the d2 expansion....I say polish what they have, balance the game out asap, and patch in the rest.

2) I play hardcore so I thankfully will not have to deal with it.
3) There was tons of item buying in d2 between d2jsp, e-bay, websites, or other means so I doubt that the AH will have that massive of an impact, it might get a few extra people to purchase items being they know it's 100% safe.
4) Achievement hunting for myself has never been something I've striven for unless I was completely lacking anything else to do, I still have the majority of achievements left on SC2 to obtain and never even tried on my xbox games.
Bottom line, between my own self imposed rules, hardcore mode itself, hardcore mode PvP god willing, and the fact I love running new characters of all types through the game, I'll be busy for a very long time.
That in my opinion is a very narrow minded view. You can only test those builds at the level in which you choose to experiment with them and if all you're doing is checking the high end capabilities, you're probably better off just trying to PvP. The REAL experimentation is picking a build out of thin air and trying to run it from normal-hell(inferno level maybe? :D) without giving it gear along the way from other characters.
Also, I don't know about you, but even if I was a softcore player, I still wouldn't pay for my items with real money. The only way I might even consider it is if I could get the best gear in the game for like a $1 which it will be a long time before it reaches that point unless blizzard allows botting and duping to go unchecked.

I can understand the longing for a better PvP system but I don't think it will matter that much if they balance towards it. Diablo 2 Pvp was tons of fun without them even caring. I wish they would just put more into PvP outside of balance, nothing wrong with making an aspect of the game better even if it doesn't help towards their main "purpose" of the game.
