Hmm, I wonder how this will work for me. I have a US copy/account, but I'll be in Germany working when it releases, wonder if it will go by IP address or account location?
The US digital copy does not unlock until 12:01 PDT
But D3 is not region locked so he should be able to play on the EU when they go live. Hell, everyone should be able to, right?

The issue is, your copy (if you bought digital that is) wont unlock until 12:01 PDT, so you wont have a game in order to be able to connect to the EU servers.

    Correct.

Australia = 5pm on the 15th. WTF!? That's only 7 hours left of the day. Why not call it an early16th release and stop assing people around. So much for taking the 15th off work and playing it all day. Better let the boss know I'll be in... and in a foul mood. The actual game better be available for purchase before then, you know.... since all the shops ******** close at 5pm!

You will be able to buy your copy at 12:01 AM may 15th. However, you are playing on US servers, which wont unlock until the time given in that blue post (in your time zone) is all.

Thank Molster, for setting me straight.

Right, I forgot about that.... but still, if my internet didn't suck I would do that in order to play D3.

Since Diablo 3 is not region locked, isn't it possible for everyone to log into EU once their servers go live? I see a problem here, if this is possible.

Unless you ordered the CE, no. Question #2, yes, you have download the client. The beta is that, just the beta and after May 1, it will not be playable.

It is a form of gambling, which is illegal in some countries, like Korea, thus making it possible for people to end up being punished. It is not a good idea.

posted a message on if you got the predownloaded version
    Quote from HoobaGooblin

OK so i pre-downloaded diablo 3 for when it comes out does it just download the installer and the 7.60 gigs or is something else supposed to happen afterwards and also is it true that if you pre downloaded you can get collectors edition stuff

First question: No, nothing else happens. Second Question: No. The CE is not available for pre-download.

Note: Diablo 3 is an online only game. In order to play you must have a Blizznet account and Diablo 3 game key. I am assuming that most of the character files are saved on their servers and not on your computer.

No. Like Veggie50 said, white items are a waste of time and not worth the effort. They are meant to be trash.

Zanmato, this is where you maybe should have read through the posts :P

The OP made the point that WSAD movement would only be used out of combat and that mouse-movement would be the only way to move in-combat. Making you make a choice between movement and attack.

The problem with that, is that Diablo games don't have out of combat. It's the main reason they were messing around with the skill locking mechanic. The devs have said at Blizzcon 2010 and 2011, that if WASD was as solid of a mechanic as the mouse, it would have been in the game.

you know what, let it be sub-optimal and let it break in combat so we can't run and gun. If for the sole purpose that I don't have to click to go around town all the time or to the next through a large area I just cleared while giving my mouse hand a rest is great.

The reason why the devs did not put it in. They did not want an inferior mechanic in the game and in this case wasd is inferior. In Diablo, one wrong move can kill you.

So, I noticed that nobody has said this, but the Necro is in the game. He is a NPC in one of the acts.

posted a message on Question about talking to people and playing with people.
It is a some what open world where the boundries of the map are known but not the interior. There are random events to ensure that no play through is the same.

As far as lobbies go, I am not sure. Anyone can start a game or join a public game for a max of a 4 man co-op in a PvE setting. For PvP, you must enter the Arena Area. I can't remember a lot of the details since they have changed and that D3 will not be shipped with PvP. There were talks of it having a match making system based on skill, but no rankings. I have heard there being anywhere from 1v1 matches to 4v4.

That is all I can pull from my brain. Hope it helps.

four is the perfect numbr, 5 would be like "uggh i hate that 5th guy"

6 or more would be a raid

keep it at four, this is NOT an MMO! :)

Well u still can go for group of 3 u are right its not a mmo the level of difficulty adapts to your party so you dont have to go 4 (its not a raid of 10 guys where you need 10 big bad boys). So why not max it to five 5 like the number of classes?(keep in mind there will be an expansion and if in a near future will be lets say 7 diferent chars, 3 clasess wont be able to play together)

I mean there's no real change for the game because the most of partys won't be full why not increase the number to 5? why 4 is really better than 5? i don't see any value argument there...

There is a real change in mob size. Mob size of a solo game is greatly less than in a 4 player game.
