posted a message on wanted to let everyone here know about HiveGaming Clan and the plans we have for D3
*heres a repost of a blog topic i made it covers mostly everything thats going on for www.teamhive.org the homebase of HiveGaming. diablo 3 will be epic but why not have a blast and dominate!!! :ninja: :olddiablo:

    http://www.diablo3pvp.com/2011/09/my-goals-as-diablo-fan-and-up-and.html

So seeing how were getting amazing leaked content daily and the end of the "sometime between August and the end of September" Blizzard released deadline is coming to a close the sweet taste of BETA is in the air and all of us netziens rush to our PC's the moment we wake every morning to see if the most anticipated of games has been bestowed upon us! We here at www.Diablo3pvp.com are just besides ourselves with joy and those feelings of anticipation which have matured over years and years of waiting may finally be coming to an end signaling the start of a new chapter in all of our gamer lives. So i just wanted to make a post about what the goals of this blog and my gaming team @ www.teamhive.org are currently and what help/services i am going to make my best attempt at sharing with everyone!

As some of my subscribers know iv been working at Major League Gaming for about 4 months now as a journalist/information gather/producer. Its been an amazing opportunity and basically a dream come true for me! With the coming release of Diablo 3 im getting another responsibility added to my plate its going to involve streaming all of my time playing Diablo 3, making how to guides for everything that you could ever think of in the game, and hopefully cultivating some kind of a competitive ladder and/or league for the Player vs Player aspect of the game. These things are all going to be done through MLG and i really would love for all of you readers and one time stoppers to check it out the moment the beta drops! Il do a quik break down of the goals and thought process behind all of these hopes and goals:

Streaming is going to be done from my dorm room at college and at the MLG offices in NYC, il have all of the resources a streamer could ever ask for and you can count on me playing basically 24/7 :D. The goal of the stream will be for people who dont get initial acess to the beta to experience and see the game, to help players get through trickier parts of the game from making sure you have awesome gear to being able to slay all of the bosses you run in to, general character playstyles and game mechanic use, inform viewers of patch details and various news from Blizzard, fans and other outlets!
VOD's or Videos will be made from the material i get from streaming and other outlets. They will be strictly informative and hopefully help viewers figure things out better or at the very least offer another prospective on gameplay.
Player vs Player aspect of what i am doing is going to eventually (once a good chunk of players reach level 60) going to be the main thing featured in VOD's and the Stream. Diablo 2 had some amazing dueling channels and even though the game was largely plagued by hackers and "broken" in many regards PvP was in my opinion some of the best competitive gaming you could ever have experienced if you were playing in private games with and against a group of players who followed the Good Mannered dueling rules and had no desire to cheat or use the various other lame things you could do. Diablo 3 has huge potential to become a pro-circuit game with the various new features Blizzard has added such as the ranked arena games, ladders, clans etc.. What ideally is going to happen is the stream will switch over to viewing and setting up competitve matches between the very best duelers whether its 1v1 or team oriented and i will comentate just like the Starcraft 2 scene. For this to work its is going to need many more hands then just myself and hopfully a community of dedicated players, commentators and personalities will emerge and work as a group of make something every Diablo fan always dreamed of happening possible! If anyone has a desire to help please contact me and we can chat about your strengths and time youd be able to put in. Like all things it takes many minds, dedication and time to create a solid and working system but i know we got this lads!!
Lastly is HiveGaming, my Gaming Team that has a number of squads for various games from DOTA, LoL, Starcraft 2, COD, and Counter Strike. Were always working to become better as a group and have been becoming much more organized of late. Were by no means "Pros" but weve got loads of very talented players who can quite possibly begin placing well in online tournies and events if the time is put in and practices run correctly. Anyways Diablo 3 is going to be a huge tittle for the team especially since Diablo 2 is where my initial love and dedication to High Tier Competitive Gaming came from and where i created my first clan known as Demi who was quite good and well known among GM duelers on ESCNL in Diablo 2. Anyways the Diablo 3 squad is going to work as two units, one will consist of the very best PvP players whose main focus playing Diablo 3 is for the dueling, the second unit will be the players who simply put love playing the game to the point that they have to find all the very best items, know everything about leveling the fastest possible way etc.. members will undoubtedly overlap between these two units and as we all know you cant be a godly PvP'er without having godly ass gear. My philosophy behind this idea is that some clans only allow PvP or PvM players but i want Hive to consist of the most talented Diablo 3 players from every facet of the game this way Hive wont only be some PvP squad of arrogant "im better then you nub" players make everyone in the Diablo 3 community feel like were dicks :P. Hive is going to have a 60+ slot Ventrilo or Mumble voice chat server and were going to hold weekly King of the Hill matches, possibly tournies and definatly do some kind of weekly or biweekly community help from item giveaways to helping people with quests the communities we'd mostly do these things through and for would be Reddit.com. Look for Hive in the emerging PvP scene and expect us to be working at the very center of the PvP scene in Diablo 3! As always if your interested or have questions about this or for me please dont hestitate to ask! We already have a squad of nearly 20 Diablo 2 veterans but were always looking to add fun and dedicated players :D

These projects are only going to be fun and loaded with rewards so if you feel like joining up for the ride hit us up and fall in line! Were all about getting better, having fun and of course dominating all that stand in our way <3!

The Diablo 3 Wizard, Wizard in Diablo 3
I have always been attracted to high damage characters with low tanking ability the thrills that come with destroying my enemies in an instant or being easily destroyed myself has always led me to choose this class over even the most bad ass of alternate characters with little hesitation, whether it was a Mage Sorcerer Sorceress Elementalist Magi or Wizard the hugely offensive play style makes my hair stand on end :D and the possibility of destroying multiple foes an undeniable joy.

Diablo 3 being the sequel to my favorite game of all time - Diablo 2 - obviously has me all gitty and happy inside especially with the coming beta, anyways before Blizzard even released a Mage class my heart mind and body was set on playing just that character type as my main and from what we have been shown of the Wizard my glass cannon massive DPS desires are going to be fulfilled ten fold.

History of the "Mage Class" in the Diablo Games
In Diablo 1 we were given the Sorcer
Diablo 2 the Sorceress whose fire ice and lightning skills along with teleport accumulated into being my favorite playable class/character/hero of any game series and of all time. Massive damage speed and a unique mana trumps health character that excelled in PvP and was the mistress of PvM as the most popular MF character who could say no to this green robbed ladie. I personally had every type of Sorceress in D2 completely pimped out with the best of items and coolest of names o how proud i was back in 10th and 11th grade :P
Diabo 3 we see the rise of the Wizard whose abilities are no longer at the whim of the amount of mana (we will address this later on) you have but still from what iv seen very capabe of colossus DPS and movements that are just as nimble as ever.
The Wizard - Everything you need to know from Lore to PvP to PvM in Diablo 3
A powerful class bent on mastering the arcane ways which are seen as highly unpredictable and uncontrolable and therefore dangerous to the inhabitants of Sanctuary and the world itself. What players who are familiar with this character type will notice immediately in Diablo 3 is the replacement of mana with "arcane power" which from what iv gathered is like mana but regenerates at a higher and much differently affected rate as well as not being increased by item bonuses or auras this can cause some very big changes in how the class is played but not its glass cannon nature or reliance on speed to survive.
    Official Blizzard Lore
From the writings of Abd al-Hazir
Owing to my lack of tolerance for those who would use magic towards their own nefarious ends, many have assumed that I am averse to the practice of the magical arts on a philosophical level. Nothing could be farther from the truth. My quarrel is with those sorcerers who dismiss the ancient traditions and teachings – teachings that have been honed over millennia in order to preserve respect for authority and the rule of law.

Recently the youth of Caldeum have fallen prey to the overblown stories of just such a delinquent wizard. That is correct: I used the uncouth term wizard, not sorcerer. It seems that even the title of a civilized magic wielder is too restrictive for this young upstart. Through my contacts at the Yshari Sanctum of the mage clans, I am one of the few who actually know the truth behind the rumors now sweeping our streets regarding this hellion who flaunts her magic irresponsibly.
Although there is no truth to the tales that she actually ventured into the infamous Bitter Depths below the Sanctum, she was caught in the Ancient Repositories, where the most dangerous incantations are housed for the safety of the public. When confronted by the great Vizjerei mage Valthek and demanded to account for herself, she brazenly attacked him rather than face the punishment merited by her acts. Exaggerated stories of the battle are already being inflated to mythic proportions by the more rebellious of our city's youth, but suffice it to say that she did not actually best Yshari's most powerful mage in single, honorable combat. The details of the encounter remain unclear, as Valthek has yet to regain consciousness, but it has been verified by reliable sources that she relied on trickery and deceit to bring the great man low. I have also been assured that the extensive property damage was chiefly the result of Valthek's magical prowess, not the upstart wizard's. As to where she is now, no one rightly knows, for she fled the city immediately after the encounter.
Clearly the Wizard comes equipped with a very interesting background and a far eastern culture that i can not wait to learn more about! Just like Anikan Skywalker the Wizard is both arragant brilliant and surpasses their teacher accumulating massive power and prestige as if it were the only plausable life course before them.

Killing Monsters and Other Players with the Wizard, Skills and abilities at your disposal and the havoc they can unleash:

These skills are all on one page or tab unlike in Diablo 2 where you had "skill trees" which you built up as you leveled and were for the most part confiend to a single one of the three the only requirement to put points into skills now is character level. Replacing the multiple skill trees in some ways is what Blizzard has dubbed a "Traits" system which provide passive abilities to your character these can make you tank more put out more damage with specific skills or even help you regenerate life/energy. In Diablo 3 it seems that your skills will be heavily bolstered by correctly leveling up these passive Traits allowing for what's always been a main attraction of the Diablo games, diversity in builds.

    Level requirement: 35

**The lists of skills/traits are from blizzcon 2010 and are therefore undoubtedy going to be changed up removed or added to before the games release however i thought these skills/traits provide a very clear picture for anyone trying to gain a better understanding of the Wizard's workings. *Also wanted to note i got the above list from DiabloWiKi a great resource for the game and i left each skill linked to their description pages!!

Player vs Player: Tactics to dominate every class on the battle field through the implication of raw player skills, properly built characters, classy moves and tricks that will make your opponent secound guess themselves and send them packing back to PvM
*******************PvP Coming Soon Upon Game Release***********
In the mean time here are some videos from various live events sponsored/run by Blizzard where people were able to duel eachother in the new arena system. Enjoy!!
