I must say, I expected the information released today to blow people away. Well, good and bad, it definitely delivered on that promise.
That said, I noticed that there are such a limited amount of press screens. I'm assuming that these are all specific screenshots supplied by Blizzard, but come on. There are so very few images to salivate over.
What I'm especially disappointing in is seeing a lack of is an update inventory screen, the quest log and the latest skill tab, and a some images/videos of the class resources, especially hatred/discipline.
Are there still more to come? Or do we have to wait until beta?

    Expansions solve ENDGAME issues.

    Too true.
However, with Blizzard's schedule of releasing expansions a year and a half apart, it's more than likely you will have done Hell with at least 3 if not all the classes. Will you make another character then? What is the point? With the way skills work as of now, it's better to focus on a character and try out builds, rather than recreating new characters. Which I feel is a whole better way to play, I might add. Thank you Blizzard.

I'm not trying to shake up the system here or challenge anyone.
I'm just really eager/itchy to see if they will give incentive to keep playing your characters, and really hoping they do add something.

I don't like the term endgame. It makes it sound like the rest of the game only sets up for what is to come, like the end matters more than the journey. Nonetheless, an uneasiness crept up on me earlier, especially in view of all the news we were given today.
And no, I am not about to go off on Blizzard for ruining my childhood legacy. In fact, I love everything they've announced. So with that in mind, here's what's bothered me:

First there is the void of skill points, a very flexible change. Now you build a character and change him/her around anyway to your liking. By the time you reach the end of Hell, due to the way the game is set up, you should be near if not already level 60.
From here there are some options remaining, I guess: PvP, keep playing, or create a new character. Let's say your previous character was a Monk, I don't see any incentive for recreating a Monk. So you create a Demon Hunter, finish Hell and then go for a Witch Doctor, and so you reach 60, with each character. I know I'm making it sound like a breeze when in truth it will take time, but bear with me.
Some people probably wont play every class, especially not through each difficulty, I know I'm only focused on three of the five. So let's say I have my desired three up till 60, and I am not interested in PvP. There is little reason to recreate my favorite class, since the one I already have has all the items I already desire, or I may as well focus on pushing for better items, which would be better than restarting anew from level 1. But does keep playing mean I have to do Hell act 5 over and over again? I've read somewhere that they want to remove the boss farming issue of Diablo 2, but the idea of doing this over and over again seems to combat their intentions.

So, here's a thought I had about that issue. What about adding in max level content?
At first I thought another difficulty after hell, but that would be redundant and stupid.
Next I thought, what about the cow level, albeit something similar, not a secret level exactly. More in the line of an extremely challenging level where you could get specific legendary gear, and with challenging fights to really test your character. Think of an infernal pit in act 5 in Diablo 2. It was a mini self contained level. What I'm thinking of is the same deal. While the the level is hard to begin with, it could also spawn dangerous bosses, sort of the same idea as they did with Lilith later on in Diablo 2.

I'm probably getting ahead of myself. This sort of feels like a pre-emptive solution to a something that may or may not even exist as it stands. The thing is, with the new changes I'm just a bit 'worried' - though that might be the wrong word to use here. I just don't see a reason for having more than 5 characters, one of each class. And I'm really looking forward to playing Wizard, but what incentive would there be for playing onward when he's reached level 60?
    That's my only thought.

    Anyone else thought about this?

I see what you mean, yet it has the same amount of syllables as Barbarian does. As for all the classes hunting demons there's no contention there, yet for the Demon Hunter it is what drives them, it's the only thing they exist for. As she said in the video "I stand alone, and if they keep coming, I will never stop killing."

Yeah, I don't think some people around here get that.
Like I said in my post earlier, other classes have their own cultures and things they strive and live for. And they don't hunt demons, they just fight them, there is a difference. The other classes are good at fighting, and so its logical that they will be able to stand against the demons.
On the other end of the spectrum, Demon Hunters do that and only that. They trained themselves to fight hell's legions and go out of their way to do only that.

I definitely disagree. Warhammer Online kind of does that and it ends up with names like Squig Herder. Like it works since there are so many classes but when theres only 5 you can use names that define the class.

But ALL the classes hunt demons lol. They ALL kill demons, they are ALL powerful and in the end they will all be killing the same boss. "Demon hunter" just doesn't fit because... they ALL hunt demons. You could rename this class to something else and keep its lore and sub-story intact. I mean how exactly does changing this classes name effect that in any way whatsoever? It doesn't. Unless you can explain to me how it does?

"demon hunter" meh it just doesn't work for diablo in my opinion because all the classes will be killing demons equally.

Imho... expansion will have a "undead hunter", you saw it here first. If the team for diablo isn't going to get any more creative or original with naming this class than "demon hunter" then "undead hunter" wouldn't surprise me at all at this point.

It's sort of situational, all the classes happen to fight (not hunt) demons.
    Think about it.
Besides, undead aren't invading Sanctuary, so story wise it makes little sense. I see where you are going with what you are saying, but all classes are part of their own cultures.
Barbarians don't hunt demons, they stayed in Harrogath and lived their lives peacefully. They act as spiritual protective warriors, trained to protect the Worldstone.
Wizards/Sorcerers practice magic, not always to hunt demons or for any destructive reason for that matter. They study the arcane to further themselves.
Witch Doctors are tribals who commune with spirits and practice the dark arts. Most probably to help their tribe and protect their people.
Monks live in solitude to study the gods and their knowledge of them. They revere creativity and will stand up to anything that threatens the sanctity they wish to uphold.
Demon Hunters removed themselves from society with one purpose in mind, finding ways to combat hell's legions. It's all they do. They have no special cultures nor

There are two things you are overlooking here:
    1. The Demon hunters are killing machines. They are weapon and trap specialists and damn good at that. Saying they can't kill undead, because they focus on demons are like saying an archer can't kill a man cause he has been shooting targets his entire life. Or a soldier that specializes in antitank warfare can't kill foot soldiers cause he's only good at shooting tanks. Which brings me to my second point...
2.They specialize in killing hell's legions, and hell usually comes along with undead and corrupted beasts. So, a demon hunter will be able to kill undead minions as they are fighting to get to the undead's demonic masters. They are demon hunters, because they kill the masters (demons), and not merely their minions (undead and beasts).

Just to add, I don't feel completely repulsed by the name. When I saw it first unveiled at BlizzCon, I sort of liked the look and feel of the Demon Hunter. I'm not exactly attached to the name either, I mean, it's just what you call the class, it won't really negate any of the extreme pleasure that I will experience once I play the game.
Honestly, they can change it, or not, and this goes for any of the classes in the game. As long as it's fun, I wouldn't care less about Blizzard's name plans.
