i want D4. plain and simple. im happy if they are firing people from D3 vanilla team. D4 needs fresh minds and it needs to stay away from anyone likes WoW. Wow style graphics, epic things and all that stuff belongs to WoW but not to diablo. i hope blizzard understands that now... im still angry and i cant forget how D3 vanilla team mocked us with rainbow & unicorn tshirts when we said this. diablo needs dark atmosphere, and in diablo, you need to feel somewhat trapped, alerted etc etc...

RoS team, is another thing to discuss. i liked what they did on most parts, after all, they had to expand a flawed game.. and its always harder to work on a flawed game rather then creating a new one. so RoS team made great fixes, they did their jobs well. i can be happy with most of them staying and woking on D4.

Part3 now:

-The D3 engine is fantastic, D4 will be on an updated version. Always online of course. Warden (or a new thing) will also be reinforced so things like maphack will be insta-banned (at least the the design goal) unlike what happened to D3. Hopefully this will screw bots faster than it happened in D3. They are very aggressive about this, this time, about game integrity.

-All classes from D3 will be back and 2 more at launch (they are not pertinent for me to spoil, you will know this at Blizzcon anyway, but one of them is a fan and, one of mine too, favorite...), however they will be very different because of the events in D4.

-Last freaking year there was a freaking HUGE D4 clue at Blizzcon and almost nobody gave a damn??!! WTH guys??!! On really big panels where you saw all of Blizzard's franchises, there was a female Crusader representing the Diablo universe, however she was tainted, hurt, corrupted but still fighting for the light... she was not "normal" it was obvious but people didn't look into it like at all if I remember lol. Diablo 4 was already in development for quite some time (unknown how long exactly). She was not representing Diablo 3. She was representing Diablo 4. Go take a look and be amazed.

-There is a video of a guy explaining how the Diablo D4 dice (part of Diablo themed dices in Blizzcon 2016 goodies bag that the press I guess got samples in advance) is not a manufacturing mistake but a cryptic clue at D4's existence. That guy is a smart cookie, he totally nailed it. It is not a manufacturing or design mistake. I mean this could be obvious to some but his analysis is really on point for others.

-The classes will all be hurt and changed like the Crusader girl, this will explain why some skills, mechanics etc. change from a lore or rational perspective (to interate on D3, to make it even "better", D3 has gotten pretty good over the years).

Even if Diablo 4 could be just speculation - rumors about it already points to how low Diablo 3 has fallen for the fan base. Fans wanting very drastic changes to the game makes it feel like an expansion isn't even worthy, so why not just create a whole new game?

The only thing Diablo needs is a dark, moody, highly replayable 4th version.

The WoW-like art direction and bland replayability of Diablo 3 simply needs to die at this point. Too many poor decisions have been made with Diablo 3 to bother with further expansions.

Get a modern engine in play, get non-pay2win in-game transactions in to fund long-term development, allow us to trade, and give us greater flexibility to build or characters in creative yet viable ways, and build this best ARPG to date please, Blizzard.

The possibilities of this game are endless. I can't believe how long we've stood back and watched blizzard do nothing with it. It actually saddens me because how much I love the idea of this game. They need to scrap diablo 3. Move on to Diablo 4 and give the people who have 1000 paragon and a thousand hours played time some cool ass cosmetics. Revamp the randomly generated maps and create hand crafted maps that take hours of play time and skill to clear. Get rid of this cartoon feel and bring back the darkness from Diablo 2.

I don't play diablo 3 any more I just hope one day I'll come to this website and see a huge announcement. /continuestowait

For the longest time now, I've been a "fan" (that is such an overused word, I'm honestly sick of it, so I'll just go with "follower") of Dungeon Crawlers (such as the Diablo series) and RPG games (such as the Final Fantasy series). At a young age, I grew up around people who played Dungeons & Dragons (yeah, I know, talk about old. The days when gaming required a pen & paper instead of a mouse & keyboard), as well as Pathfinder. These were the days when I truly began to admire and appreciate these kind of games, as well as the "art" behind them.

After that, I slowly began to expand my interest in this into outside sources (such as PC games and Magic The Gathering, yes, I know, Magic The Gathering, such a nerd). Of course, I claim absolutely no "skill" (cause like, I don't believe that "skill" is even possible on something which really just comes down to grinding, strategy, and luck) in any of these games, nor do I even consider myself a possible runner-up on the leaderboards (which are stupid to be honest, do people really need that ego boost to keep on playing?).

One of the very first games I played (outside of D&D and Pathfinder) is Diablo (for PS1). When I first got hold of this game, I immediately fell in love with the design of it and even more on a side note, I fell in love with being able to just gradually appreciate a game, being able to just sit back and explore, being able to kill if necessary and avoid if not worth my time.

Because of this game, I have further dug into the Diablo series and began thoroughly exploring these games (as well as exploring any similar games). When Diablo 2 came out, I was truly in awe of what has happened, the classic and beautiful memories of my past have been revitalized, allowing this game to take a whole new extension. Of course, now Diablo 3 is out, and even though I absolute adore that, I would have to say that it just doesn't seem to be as "sentimental" as Diablo 2, something about Diablo 2 really just stuck with me and since I got hold of it, I became addicted.

During the years of 2004 to 2013, I was spending as many hours as I possibly could playing Diablo 2. I began to run myself ragged by constantly jumping onto this game and spending hours and hours on end, endlessly grinding my character into becoming a top-notch Necromancer. Of course, all good things must come to an end (and for me, it hit hard). On April 8th 2014, my computer died on me (but then again, it was a Vista, so that is expected) and I lost all my account information as well as all my passwords and time spent.

Now, many years down the road, I have taken some time to attend college (of which I think I'm failing, but if so, I guess that's just more money down the drain, of which I don't have), expand my interests outside of Diablo (I've recently been spending more time watching YouTube and less time actually playing games). So, it brings me a great big smile to my fat face (yes, I'm overweight, ironic, I know, but I'm not obese and I don't ever plan on becoming unable to walk), I have managed to barely save up just enough cash to get Diablo 2 once again. So, you know what that means...

...JNecroNHancer has returned back to his homelands and will once again, take on Diablo himself, with or without friends. Of course, with friends would be nice, but my internet is such crap, playing online is a pain in the neck and tends to lag ever so slightly at times, and I would rather not risk putting others in danger because my internet is garbage.

So to all of you whom have been following the world of Diablo since the earliest of days, I send thee much respect and praise for keeping the community alive and teaching the newcomers of the dangers of this world and how beautiful it truly is when you abandon your ego and explore with a clear mind.

Or in other words, thanks for keeping Diablo alive and I hope to once again rejoin the ranks of "Veteran" Diablo players. Of course, I will never be as "Veteran" as I used to be back in my time, but I express great honor and respect to all those whom accept me into the community once again with open arms and a kind heart.

May you find great riches, gain extensive experience, and understand what it means to be an "untold hero".

In my understanding, Blizzard wants to make cohesive build construction a reality for casual and invested players, from early game (offers free sets very quickly in seasons, and high drop chance) into late game (ancient tier, augs, paragon - with enough main stat from paragon any build is possible). So what I don't understand is the current state of LoN. The issue I see is that the ring set itself provides literally no bonus if the player has no ancients; this is a problem because it makes the ring extremely unrewarding, if picked up too early in the game. As a requirement of the LoN set, and to make it comparable to other build options (sets), you need to outweigh any dmg bonus on the set, before LoN will even be worth considering. Ex: Let's say a given set provides 500% dmg bonus. This means that before LoN can even be considered as a realistic option, you need to have 5 ancient items = 500% dmg bonus. This acts to further delay the use of LoN, which turns it into an end-game set (essentially unusable before end-game).

So my question is this:

Why is LoN bonus restricted to ancients? The set would be far more useful throughout the game if it also gave a bonus for legendaries; obviously, the bonus from ancients should be higher, making ancients more rewarding. I would personally like to see legs give 70% each, and ancients give 100%, this would give the following figures (assuming all 13 gear slots are occupied).

Full Leg:

70 x 13 = 910% dmg bonus

6 Leg + 7 Ancient (roughly 50/50)

70 x 6 = 420

100 x 7 = 700

420 + 700 = 1120% dmg bonus

Full Ancient:

100 x 13 = 1300% dmg bonus

I think this setup would make LoN far more attractive in early game, without restricting playstyle.

Note: Giving a player a specific set for free is restrictive, because no standard legendaries can currently compete against it. Basically, once you have a set that's it, there's no reason to switch it until you get either a better set, or your full ancient LoN set.
