Bingo. For anyone to make a claim and say PvP wasn't "real" in Diablo series, or that it wasn't "true" just shows how blind they are to the series.Quote from Saljen
I don't know about you guys, but the only reason that I ever leveled a character on Diablo 2 was so that I could PvP at end game. I don't think anyone had fun just spamming baal runs till 99 and then just stoping... PvP has always been Diablo's real end game.
Yes there are people that enjoy killing monsters, they enjoy grinding levels and gear. I have met quite a few on my many years of Diablo. However at least on US East, I found MANY MANY MANY MANY more who grinded gear and levels so they can trade so they can make PvP characters. It is basic gaming formula 101 here, when the content is so played out people find alternate ways to play. PvP is and always has been and always will be a huge part of the Diablo series whether Jay or you PvM heroes wanna accept it or not. I am also not dumb enough to try and say that PvP is end all be all way to play Diablo like most of you PvM heroes who seem threatened by PvP'ers.
Vlad, Get over yourself buddy.
In other threads you jump quickly to your own defence that your not a basher of PVM players, and that all you want is your precious hostility button and in game dueling back. Yet in this post you quickly turn on your PVM players bash button and start saying how much PVP is a huge part of the diablo series and us PVM heroes are threatened by the PVP'ers. And also, there's no need to get all teary because Jay Wilson didn't lean towards PVP implementation a bit more in Diablo III. Obviously the blizzard development team decided to stick to what Diablo III is truely about and in the same process give you PVP'ers who like the option to break away from the normal game for a bit of different fun, the ARENA.
Furthermore, "people who say PVP wasn't real in the diablo series, truely shows how blind they to the series" That's a laugh, I can't even comment on that one mate. But if you knew anything about what the Diablo series really is, then you would know.
It's about.
-Lore and epic story.
-Cooperative based gameplay on and offline (to meet the end of that story with other people or by yourself)
-The rich, satisfying, enjoyable.. Item hunt.
-Pick up the game for 30 mins and enjoy every minute (Accomplish something no matter how small it may be)
So please before you go expressing to much "I know everything" think about what your saying. -

Aug 2, 2011Kurast posted a message on Runic Revision? As much as i like the original system, this sounds awesome to me, I hope it's the system they choose. And it won't be overly restricting if by chance the mystic can remove rune effects, and even if he can't then it still sounds good anyway imoPosted in: News
Good to see some nice directions being taken by blizzard, good work guys - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

So because i post a thread and someone replies arrogantly, I'm presumed to be taking it to far by replying?.
The original thread was never intended to insult/ridicule anyone, the purpose was to remind people that if it isn't confirmed not to get all worked up about it.

No, it was simply a reminder that come the time that the press event news is confirmed by someone who knows what they're talking about. You'll regret placing your faith and getting all worked up over unconfirmed Chinese leaked news.

You believe everything you read, that's your problem.
You would have to be crushed by a falling bathtub to be told otherwise.
I should be able to come onto this forum and read legitimate D3 news, not people moaning about unconfirmed leaked news

Unless it is a post from Sixen (which he has already stated he will be posting in 2 hours) or from bashiok himself (which it probably won't be) ignore it.
Chinese leaks = bullshit.
A link that says otherwise to the contrary that you found on google = bullshit
In fact ignore google and type the f**king URL address in for this website in the search bar, in 2 hours.
Nothing has been confirmed, Yet.

Yeah, I would have to agree with AegonIII on this. I personally prefer to have my own unique name, especially if you have taken the time to think of a name that will fit the first class you will be playing. Nothing would be more annoying as someone copying your name as soon as they see you in game, it really defeats the whole purpose of taking the time to find that "unique" name for your character. But we will have to wait and see what decision has been made on the naming structure for Diablo 3.

I would firstly like to put my opinion in my opening post about some of the important discussions which i have read regarding content in diablo 3 including, pvp, pve, level caps, and dungeons. Starting with the new PVP aspect which blizzard have said will be introduced in diablo 3 (arena featuring soft core/hardcore. I for one think this new arena idea will bring about ALOT of adrenaline packed thrilling battles. I believe this for two reasons 1) PVP during diablo 2 was an open battlefield which all players could express hostility if your character was over level 9-10 (if the game didn't have a set level), and Duels/PVP where left unfinished due to interruptions by other players (in say that an all out fight isn't that bad), 2) The introduction of hardcore arenas with multiple opponents all scared and excited about either dying or killing another player in which it can never be played again . Now, onto the PVE content of diablo 3 (from what i have read) sounds extremely awesome. From unique creature death animations to rune stones changing the effects.., I certainly love the whole idea of questing and playing in a group with other people, it really brings out the full feel of the game and enables you to tackle tough challenges (and i think diablo 3 will not be as easy as everyone thinks). Now.. onto the level cap, I know many people have had concerns with the suggested/aimed for level cap of 60 that was looked at from different angles by blizzard and found that it worked significantly well. In my opinion if I can hit level 60 and notice changes in power and a thrill of excitement every level or every few levels ill be happy, because working towards more power has to stop on the leveling aspect and encompass other parts of the game like items otherwise you will be leveling forever and it will feel like the green mile.

And that concludes my opening post and I would like to thank those who took the time to read it
Please feel free to post your thoughts and opinions on the above topics and even others. Discussion is the key to decision
