I say this as delicate as possible. You guys are playing a game expecting something out of it that it wasn't designed for. It's designed for people that love the grind and love the journey to the end game (the point where you get to grind). Instead of putting up a complaint that the game needs some changes that would divert the game from the audience it was intended for you should probably move on to another game.

Just this. D3 isn't an MMO because it wasn't intended to be by Blizzard.

No adventure mode, Rifts, Greater Rifts, paragon levels, and the last act. Pretty much the whole end game.

So instead of farming rifts over and over and over for no reason, you'll just have to farm the outer world levels over and over and over for no reason. I don't really see the difference.

posted a message on Revitalizing Diablo III.

Without endless endgame (aka; WoW), a PvE game will never not get boring to most people. So, yeah. D3 needs that and will most likely never get it (because it's not an MMO)

I guess it would come down to what your goals are?

If your goal is to play through the game once, then yes it would be really short.

If your goal is to hit GR100+, well then, its plenty long.

But there's no gameplay or progression difference between GR80 and GR100. It just takes longer, whoop de do :)

What is there to talk about? Success in D3 is entirely time-based and luck-based.

posted a message on Fun GR classes?

I adore my Wizard for TX farming and casual GR50, but I absolutely hate the DMO playstyle of bubble dropping and button mashing and it turns out Wizard has no other challenging (70-80) GR builds, not even LoN. So what do other classes play like? My guess for Barbs is they are raekors charge and have to start-stop gameplay which sounds terrible as well.

posted a message on Your preferred method of TX rifting?

    Yes/No, do you...

    1) Rush and fight elites only

    2) Open chests

    3) Pick up non legendary stuff like mats, salvage fodder

    4) Pick up orange progress orbs from elite packs

    5) Close the rift immediately after guarding or go til the end

It should also be noted that once you reach the capped out breakpoint (p2000?) where you can't spend it on anything other than main (which is always going to be main stat'd), it should at least be auto-allocated at that point for you.

posted a message on D3 A New Perspective

There's plenty of F2P games that I have more hours in than D3 (and Diablo was my favorite PC series of all time).

"We are still playing this game" is flat out false. I know literally 0 people that play this game in real life, or that I know from other games. It's pretty barren.

If you want an MMO-style game with people to play with then Diablo is not for you. It's basically a single player one-time console playthrough. If you try to treat it otherwise it won't be fun.

A minority opinion on this forum, I should think. Shouldn't you have finished your one-time playthrough and left by now?
I'm more than able to visit a forum about my favorite series to keep up to date on patches to see if there's anything interesting to entice me to come back and play for a bit. I'm not saying the game is bad by any means, but it's most certainly not an MMO.
