I never understood Battlestar. It seemed cool, but it also seemed like it would never end and I would never find out whats going on. Reminds me of Lost lol. -
Apr 11, 2008Atrumentis posted a message on Diablo 3 News Watchand why the hell would an ex-Blizzard North employee make a speech? they freaking quit because they were being treated badly! they aren't on friendly speech-making terms with Blizzard lol. and they have no reason to make a speech anyway. what would he say? "I'm proud of what the new team has done, I wish I hadn't have quit" ?? wtf lol.Posted in: News
everything about that post is wrong (except the important blizzard guy part)
its also wrong that he seemed to be talking friendly at the end, as if he knows us, but he doesn't know us at all. its his first freaking post.
I'll get the tar, you get the feathers. and someone else get a freaking guillotine. -

You surely have no idea what you're taking bout, err?
Lol, I didn't notice that at first. Haha, biggest giveaway. I bet whoever wrote that is going 'oh crap' lol.
They probably copied and pasted the same thing on multiple forums.
and what the hell, 'working at Activision'? yeha, because a little activision drone hears important information when news reporters with real connections don't hear anything? ... -

I mean like, he was practically considered a mod before anyway.
But still, welcome!
I like it when important people join in. -

Mar 31, 2008Atrumentis posted a message on Diablo 3 News WatchHas anyone looked back to before Starcraft II was announced to see what Blizzards reactions were to Starcraft questions? Or even before WoW? You know, its like when you watch a movie with a big twist in the end, and then you go back and watch it again to see where all the clues were...Posted in: News

May 14, 2007Atrumentis posted a message on Blizzard Posts Teaser Timeline!I'd say that they made it so that its a neutural design, which does not actually have any hints at any one world. That would be the smart thing to do. They probably figured that you would try to make something out of it anyway, no matter what they did. Which is true. But yeah, somehow I think that its starcraft. Also considering the recent patch update for starcraft.Posted in: News

Andariel, the Maiden of Anguish: kills you using poison. How much more agonising can you get than a slow and painful death?
Duriel, the Prince of Pain: has a cold aura that cannot be blocked. What's more painful that ice that is so cold it burns and reaches you right through to the bone. Hmm, though it is kind of odd because it would be so cold it numbs your senses, making you not even feel pain. Perhaps and aura of fire would have been better, to burn your skin off. But fire is a bit too cliche.
Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred: 'hatred' can lash out at you in pretty much any form. Same with 'destruction' and 'terror', really. I guess thats why they are considered brothers.

Kudos to your massive lense. Doesn't it make the camera really unbalanced?
Its interesting that you like traditional cameras rather than digital ones. They say that film is a waste of money and you can't get instant feedback. But yeah, I know what you mean by digital feeling really cheap and incomplete. I think I'm gonna get a digital SLR though, because getting the film developed would be too much effort for me.

Haha, thanks Jet, I'll look into those movies. And yeah, Battlestar is definitely a complicated one.
Xmen is another movie like that too. Magneto isn't necessisarily evil, he just has different values and beliefs. Though I guess he is really prejudice against non mutants.

What does it even mean to be good? Its obviously a matter of perspective.
Okay, I know this is a really weird example, but I assume you all have heard of AdventureQuest. In it, there is this paladin known as Artix. He's a 'good guy', that also has some evil double somewhere apparently. Evil? Why? I'm pretty sure the 'good' Artix is the evil one. He goes around and kills all undead creatures without a second thought, no matter if they are doing anyone harm or if they plead for their life or anything. He's completely blinded by prejudice - he's the evil one!
This happens in so many games and movies and stories. It's always "ooh lets create this really heroic good guy", then "ooh now lets create his polar opposite and give him horns and scales!" It's such an overused, romanticised fantasy, I'm so sick of it.
There is no such thing as good vs evil, the world is so much more complicated than that. What you think is right, isn't necessarily what everyone else thinks is right. Therefore 'good' and 'evil' are purely forms of perspective, not to mention the fact that noone is purely one or the other.
Of course, Diablo doesn't do this. Diablo supports neutrality

And yeah, there are other offspring other than offspring from Lilith/Inarius. I had the impression that Rathma was Lilith/Inarius' only offspring, while Esu is someone else's, Bul-Kathos is someone else's offspring again, etc. I always thought that was the reason each Nephalem has different powers, because they have different parents and therefore different combinations of angelic and demonic powers. But again I could be wrong.

And that's it. I'm too tired to continue, so I'll just give you that. Note that the final panel is a new, unseen person speaking. Sorry about not having anything last week too, I'm getting increasingly busier.
PS. Critiques are welcome.
