Aug 22, 2011redROOM posted a message on DiabloCast: Episode XXII - Be Your Own DemonI see where you are going with the increased drop rate % but I dont think it would even be necessary as people will be choosing areas that they either want to play or are optimal for the archetype of their toon. It will be infinitely enjoyable and with so much content, expansive. I believe that something like that may also inspire some kind of "Inferno Only" matchmaking system to match players with common interests as far as the game is concerned.Posted in: News

Aug 22, 2011redROOM posted a message on DiabloCast: Episode XXII - Be Your Own DemonThat could be interesting but i think by that point the player will just find that annoying as they have been so conditioned into feeling comfortable with the traditional layout.Posted in: News

I think Inferno Mode should be full game content, BUT per players choice. A player should be able to choose a section of an act or dungeon. Once they choose this section they should be able ot select from different options. Horde mode, Timed etc. This would keep the end game very fresh b/c players would be choosing different areas b/c of different builds. Also, it may inspire new build (out of a LOL'd 40Billion/Trillion builds). -

Quote from dssuliI truly wish that it would require a party to go through. If you can solo it that just means that they didnt make it hard enough or scale the monsters health and attack enough. Maybe if you have the Max-most bad-ass gear possible? Thoughts?
I would hope they make it so that you can go through everything solo, but its equally challenging to do it alone as with 2, 3 or 4 players. sometimes you just want to be anti-social or just want to jump into a quick solo run.
At that point Inferno would lose all credibility. Period. Remember the days of fighting Uber Diablo back in D2. Near impossible to kill solo. They made him hard for a VERY good reason. That reason was anni, quite possibly, the most OP item in the game. Yes, if you purchased a smite pally off of d2legit.com or some item store like that then yes you could solo any of the ubers. The fact remains that to a normal player these challenges are near impossible unless they have great cooperation from their peers. I like to be greedy and play lone wolf just as much as the next guy, but being able ot solo Inferno would simply take away from it's legitimacy.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, but I remember blizz at one point mentioned that the whole game will be soloable, I just hope they stick to that while balancing the number of players/difficulty scale. oh and it has nothing to do with greed, its just the way I prefer to play games like this, with real life friends or alone.
WELL then I suppose that is another small micro quasm of Internet problems solved. Still, yes they said the whole game was soloable, but if you think about it logically... how will one player be able to take on a massive hoard of monster that are all at least level 61 AND much more powerful than them? You will probably be able to solo... just not that efficiently. -

Aug 17, 2011redROOM posted a message on Inferno RevealedI dont don think they are going to cut any of that. They may just simply make it more rare by spanning it over the course of 4 Difficulties now. Their added luxury for throwing another beast end-game time sucker. Love you Blizz.Posted in: News

As long as they stick with the idea of avoiding cheap difficulty i am good. No 4 immunes or iron maiden. I think you will be able to solo hell. Jay has said they want to encourage party play, but not deter those who prefer to solo. I think inferno might require partying to an extent, but I don't think it will be impossible to solo.

in the actual interview jay says "at least level 61". I take that over what the slide says.
There will obviously be monsters far more powerful than 61. The question is; how much more powerful? Keep in mind they want to make expansions. It would almost be a spoiler if they threw a level 91 monster at us at this point in time. -

Cool. Hadn't read that news yet. However, an embedded chat box would still be so nice!

-Maybe we can put it on the front page so we can log on, read the news for the days, and then discuss the news with each other all on the fly.
-Something like this may also help improve the fidelity of the questions and comments left for the podcasts.
