1000 beta keys being sent out @ last years blizzcon which is 1000 loyal Blizzard followers, that's alot of testers already.
1000 testers is absolutely nothing if you're looking at an infrastructure that more than likely needs to be able to support at least 1-2 million customers. We can safely assume based on Blizzards track record that the game will hit 1 million copies sold - so even if only 10% of the people who own the game are online at any given time (a reasonable number based on mmo statistics) you end up with a constant minimum server load of a 100.000 people. So let's say betatesters are a more zealous bunch and 50% of them are online at any given time - those 1000 keys would come up to about .5% of the minimum expected server load. Even if as a stress test Blizzard wants to reach 10% of this minimum server load assumption they will need at least 20x as many players - and keep in mind that these numbers are very conservative - imo the beta won't be a small scale thing either.
1000 people is more than you'll see in your daily life, think about it.

Definitely sounds like your denying how a gamer should be gaming but it's not like I care because I'll do whatever I like but I really dislike people who think because they had a bad experience gaming or whatever that every gamer is gaming how you did.

Yep so did Starcraft 1 & Expansion. All of Blizzard's new games are not allowing LAN because of piracy issues and wanting to make Battlenet to be in everyone lives who play there games.

I think the point of daily quests is to make them unique each day.
WoW has that played differently sadly.

We'll beta is only given out to certain people announcing a beta to big named companies that most people won't get into doesn't seem fair.
It'll probably be battlenet 2.0 features or something inside Diablo 3.
I think when beta gets announced it'll be fairly quiet and the people who will actually get the news are people involved with Diablo 3 but outside of people not involved beta won't be known to them.

Well I normally let the big brains take that job because, I enjoy the playing the game not calculating it but we all enjoy things differently.

As long as I get something from a group kill i'm happy because, there is nothing I can do about the % of rarity I get from loot and since I know that i'll gladly move on.
