Thanks for compiling all this information Phrozen,
Here is my score
5/5 Easy
2/5 Medium
0/5 Hard
0/1 Master
That was much harder than I expected. ( read the first book about a couple months ago, and I am working on the 3rd one now, while reading Archive at the same time )

Real cool. I was actually wondering about this today.
I got to Hell difficulty for the first time today, and I was wondering... Is this the end? I hope not! (don't get me wrong it is hard as is)
I always wondered why there were all these special pandemonium and uber bosses in D2. (never got there though)
Great news to hear! It is also good that they are making all areas of equal level once your reach that inferno difficulty, it should be more fun that way.

P.S: Now I understand why Blizz Replied "ORLY" when someone mistaked D3's accessibility for easiness. -

I have tried to keep up with a majority of the posts about Lore and Lore discussion.Posted in: News
I also believe Lore may at times lead to too much speculation and not enough core ideas about what the producers may think is good for the game. (but don't get me wrong, I love Lore)
First of all,
Great article!
Second,
I would like to discuss when we will see Imperius.
I am going to assume that the boss from the D3 cinematic is going to be last boss in D3. Since Blizz always seems to show last bosses in their cinematics. (D1,D1 Hellfire, D2, D2 expansion)
I am also going to assume that Imperius is way to cool/powerful to be an earlier boss.
This leads me to believe that Imperius will be a final boss in an expansion of D3, probably the first.
Why?
What else would make me want to buy the expansion more than having the ability to fight a badass angel boss being included?
...
Well... nothing really.
For some reason I feel that if they included fighting angels in the basic game, then they would not being able to introduce it as a "new" idea in the subsequent expansion.
Please let me know what you think.

Does she have cool skills, yes it seems like it.
But to be honest it is in every RPG and I don't care for it. It just seems to my like a lot of boring skill spamming. (I may be completely wrong)
I would much rather play the WD, or Monk.
Monk because of the tactics involved and WD because it reminds me of my lock in WoW. (Sorry to bring it up :/ , but it was needed to explain my WD decision.)
Additionally, I enjoy micromanaging my pet if I am allowed to, it adds a whole new level of skill to the game in my opinion.

This would be just another way for the DH to be ranged.
This would also stop melee classes from running all up in the DH's bisuness without being careful.
Most of all, this would be interesting.

Is anybody up for making a "Diablo fans clan"
It could become pretty popular in D3. I feel most people here are real respectable and would be enjoyable to play with.
I am guessing it would not be able to be implemented right away but, at least we could get things started?
Am I right in this, or is everybody just wanting to game only with their friends. I would love to play along with cool people like ScyberDragon or Sixen... or the rest of you D1,D2 veterans.
What do you think?

I see where all of you are coming from with this.
99 shows that you have gone threw all of the levels quite clearly. The nines show this, additionally nine is the biggest digit.
I guess I see 100 as a number with three digits (more than 2) and with a sort of close to it. It just seems like a nice and round number to me.
I have to say, it is funny that this reminded you of Monk as I am not a big fan of that show... oh no... I have become what I dislike...nooooo!
Well good discussion guys. I guess D3 will probably never have a level 100 cap, even with expansions, I can't see them making 4 expansions and having all of them with 10 more levels so I can put this topic to rest now.

"These combinations only work for Single Player, Open, or Ladder Characters."
What about TCP/IP, is it considered the same as one of these options?
I use gameranger.

Desmond Tiny: I completely agree with the idea that it was hard enough to get to level 99 already. (but I guess I wasn't thinking in terms of difficulty, just in terms of principle... the principle that 100 should be the cap to feel a sense of completion)
They should have made those higher levels easier to reach anyways, who wants to level a character forever anyways? (very few people get to 99 it seems)
TL;DR: I agree with what you have to say, I would not have them add a level 100 at this point though with how ridiculous leveling at that point.
Toddzilla 1337: I have considered the coding issue before, and you may be right about it. Computers are weird things that like to bring blue screens of death upon us at seemingly random times.
Lt.Venom: Great explanation. I guess I just wish they gave us some sort of answer on why that is. It isn't a big deal, I guess I am just interested in why.
Your explanation works for me though.
lowl: sounds about right.
P.S: My highest level character is only level 51, and I am already starting to feel some of the tediousness of leveling. It is becoming significantly harder each level. I can't imagine how bad it must be at level 90+...
Thanks for the great replies people!

So, if you are going to make a game in which the level cap is 99, why not just make the level cap 100, so that you can get that sense of completion.
This truly has bothered me since I first heard of D2. Yes, I know this would be only for aesthetics, but I can't help but feel that 99 just doesn't reflect a character who has reached his full potential.
When I think of 99 all I can think of is, just one more level and the character is finished.
I guess it must be just me who thinks this way.
TL:DR - Why 99 instead of 100. I have no great reasons why, but it makes sense to me.

I'll make sure not to do that.
I think I agree with your points
They are completely different games, and they should remain distinct.
But yeah, taking the best from every game is a great way to improve a game.

WoW is a taboo word, why? (I just want to know)
I also had my pannies up in a bunch after those 5 wallpaper pictures, but the Tyrael concept, or whatever they call it made up for it.
ScyberDragon, your podcasts have taught me a lot about D3 , now I won't be going in blind.
I also enjoyed the Lore video.
All the members of this forum seem to know a lot about the Lore too. I basically knew only the very basic story until I got here.

Why don't you put the ace as a boss, I know some card games have ace as the high card.
Anyways,
Cool stuff
