Might I ask what these revisions are? I'm a "casual fan" of the Diablo series - played and beaten both of the games and LoD, but I've only read one or two of the stories set in it and I can't really win trivia in the lore. However, I am interested in seeing these "revisions" to see what they're like; I'd long wanted a "fixed" version of the Hellfire classes and a few features in an otherwise vanilla game (as, IIRC, Hellfire only let you go through the Hellfire content and not the Cathedral - could be wrong, never played it).
I recently got myself a netbook. Since they're not very powerful pc's I dug out a couple old favorites to see if could LAN them. I installed Diablo 1 on the desktop (Win XP pro) and on the netbook (Win XP Pro) and took it to battlenet. Couldn't join my own game since the latency was too high. I quickly discovered with some googling that you can't bnet Diablo 1 within the same connection. Not a problem - XP supports IPX, so I'll just LAN it!
Well I hosted a LAN on the desktop, but when I got into the lan options on the netbook, it only gave me an option to "Create Game". It appears as if I am unable to join a game on my LAN! Does anyone have some tips on resolving this? Could it be because I installed and ran D1 from an image file on the netbook (they don't have optical drives)?
