posted a message on 125 Character Combinations
I can't wait to roll with 4 Barbarians, it's going to be epic. Just imagine 4 leap attacks or seismic slams going off at the same time.

Just thought about 4 Wizards with max ranked multi-Magic Missile, rofl.

Fury is also gained steadily with attacks such as Bash and Cleave, while larger bursts of Fury can be generated by mighty abilities such as Leap Attack and Ground Stomp.

posted a message on Which class will be the most popular? (poll)
I don't know what it is but for some strange reason the Monk, Witch Doctor, Demon Hunter and to an extent the Wizard never really appealed to me. I am unlikely to ever even consider creating either of the first three and the chances of me making a Wizard are rather slim as well.

I can promise you this much though, I will have one solitary Barbarian and he shall be the meanest, baddest, most awe inspiring son of a bitch you'll ever see walk in the realm of Diablo.

posted a message on Rune Effects - Threatening Shout
I remember reading a blue post a while back stating that they tried to cover all of the Diablo 2 shouts with runes for Diablo 3 ones.

posted a message on Rune Effects - Leap Attack
That would be pretty cool. A giant lightning bolt energizing the Barbarian's weapon at the peak of his jump and emitting an electrified shockwave as he lands.

posted a message on Rolling a barb? What type?
Depends on how powerful certain skills and abilities are to be honest.

If I can go into a sword/board spec and /godmode then that sounds like a whole lot of fun and what i'll probably do.

Hard not to go straight up old school 2h whirlwind build though.

Yeah I thought it was pretty good, here's hoping that Blizzard stumbles upon these rune effect threads.

posted a message on Rune Effects - Hammer of the Ancients
Thought I came up with a pretty damn good idea for a rune here, tell me what you guys think.

"Your Hammer of the Ancients strikes the ground with enough force to shatter the ground beneath it, raising a wall of earthen shards in front of the Barbarian to block spells and ranged attacks. Lasts X seconds or until Y attacks have been absorbed."

As long as any balancing they do 100% only effects the PvP side of each ability then I don't care.

posted a message on 2 Hand vs Dual Wield
Looking at the revised passive skills I'll probably go with a dual wield frenzy build.

Ruthless: 5% Crit and 50% Crit Damage
Frenzied Attack: 20% Crit and 30% Crit Damage
    Weak Spot: 100% Crit Damage

Superior Skill: 20% Increase to Precision (Crit Chance)

Might switch Ruthless or FA for Superior Skill

I hope that this "4th" difficulty is so hard that it makes my level 60 fully decked out "lolwtfpwned" Barbarian look like a baby with a rattle.

posted a message on Cooling Down with Cooldowns
In my opinion I would have to say that a one minute cooldown on the powerful end tier skills would be appropriate. A thirty second cooldown would feel great on some of the stronger mid tier skills and weaker high tier skills.

I would have to say no longer than ten seconds on some of the weaker mid tier and stronger low tier skills. Beyond that the weakest of the low tier skills should definitely have no cooldown at all.

Having these short but not too restrictive cooldowns would keep combat fast paced and fun. I think a two minute cooldown would feel rather long in a game like Diablo.

posted a message on Which Class to Play?
I chose Archetype, there's nothing like playing a melee combatant, especially a big beefy Barbarian.

After watching the PvP demos and seeing how fast Barb's attack with their two-handers I can only imagine what kind of hell is going to break loose with the tornado of fury unleashed by Frenzy Barbarians.

Two Handed swords all the way. I can recall the memories of running around with a massive Executioner's Sword before Lord of Destruction. Man that sword was badass, you could even dual-wield them.

posted a message on Rune Effects - Ancient Spear
The spear could chain to several targets, similar to how chain lightning works. When the barbarian pulls back the spear they could all be pulled into in a straight line in front of the Barbarian

Another rune could allow the ancient spear to simply be used as a ranged attack and to not pull enemies towards the Barbarian at all
