May 12, 2011LordofChaos88 posted a message on Trait UpdateSo I was on here reading about the new info on Followers and it suddenly disappeared. Where'd it go? It was talking about the Templar, Enchantress, and Scoundrel....Posted in: News

May 11, 2011LordofChaos88 posted a message on Trait UpdateSo it was mentioned there was going to be some way of altering past choices on skills. They didn't mention what the cost would be to the player or to what extent changes could be made. Do you think this ability to adjust your skills will be applicable to the traits as well? Have they mentioned anything about this? I can already feel the tension of having to choose which traits to invest in cause they're all so cool, yet limited, and you don't want to make the wrong choice.Posted in: News

Hopefully they'll say a bit more about it soon.

I personally love storyline but in D2 I never wanted to stop in the middle of killing/looting to read a freakin long book/scroll. So I think it'll be neat to be able to get the lore, while still creating a treasure rich blood bath at the same time.

I agree with this. I love playing with a group of buddies online, but lately with how busy my life is (Med school, research, 2 kids, work) I know I'm not going to be able to meet up with buddies at scheduled times near as often as I'd like. So I will be getting random hours in here and there and I know I will appreciate the feel of the co-op with the followers system. I think this was brilliance by Blizzard.
People fail to remember that this game isn't being made specifically for them and that person only..... Blizzard is the master of creating games that millions of people can enjoy and they make systems that can cater to the various needs/desires/gameplay styles of many different gamer types. To those whiners out there, get over yourselves....

It'd be really awesome if they allowed for all three to be part of your caravan as you completed each of their quests. If that was the case though I'm assuming that only the follower that was with you would be currently gaining experience, so if you wanted to switch up, you'd have to level up that other follower. Would still love this possibility though!

This is just speculation but during the conference call some guy asked about "other devices with a processor and a screen" and developing for these. For some reason the guy responding really elaborated on this (with out saying a whole lot though) but kept on mentioning how this was such a great question and how this was important for their business model and new developments. I was just curious about what everyone else thinks about this. Do you think this is a hint that they're going to be trying to release D3 on consoles? I know people were joking saying D3 for Facebook but I think more realistically (with Activision/Blizzard business model) they'd want to promote/develop better console sales.
