posted a message on Does toughness numbers mean anything at all?

Ultra giga super mega tera noob question. I play barb as my main, have fully caldesanned, solid, gear with at least lvl 80 gems and 1.3k paragons.

Despite the fact that numbers show 830 000 000 + toughness when I jump and stuff, dark berserkers one shot me, dust eaters take me down in 2 strikes and so on. We are talking about pleb grift 80 here, nothing fancy... I mean how does DH/WD/Wizz survive those grifts if tankiest solution for solo barb grift get pounded into dust by every single grotesque explosion, any guardian melee attack and so on.

posted a message on How to disincentivize botters?

When I go for split bounties in pub games, after one act completed I ask of others to respond or be kicked. Few times some ppl or bots didnt write back anything so they were removed. I rarely do normal rift with other ppl and in grifts with others there is always enough communication to shun any possibility of someone botting atm.

posted a message on Macro in Diablo

Only thing I ever did to modify my game is moving all skills to G keys on keyboard and additional buttons on mouse. Can't understand why is it so important to use macros or even num lock trick in D3. If you use those you lack control, and kinda dumb down the game even more.

See if you can find some ppl to play with in online communities such as rift it forward or so. You might try pub games too, but will be kicked due to low paragons asap.

Just to ask, am I a clown too, only 1.3k P? Or am I just simply retarded, since I have maybe 2k hours of playtime?

posted a message on Why is LoN designed as it is?

I don't see why is free set a problem. If you dislike free set you are given (as I do), just farm another one. Same is with LoN. Just use free set to farm LoN gear, its simple as that.

posted a message on Can someone explain to me why is my DPS is so low?

I see nothing wrong with wearing that set, mind you. It is fairly powerful, but, as with any other, you need to work on it. Not having at least lvl 60 gems invested into upgrading it via caldesann's despair in cube is plain laziness and has no excuse. You need about 1h to level one L gem 1-60 with empowered grifts with your 800+ paragon main char, or even faster if you have some friends that can help you run grift 60 under 5 minutes. I have no complains on your gear, despite the fact that you do need few ancient pieces, all seem to be more or less as it should. PPl already told you to reroll that att speed on weapon into 10% dmg. You might need more physical resistance to push higher solo grifts and if I may add, I find that war cry impunity is not good as veteran's warning. Good luck.

posted a message on Why is LoN designed as it is?

I don't have problem with LoN at all, it is fairly easy to find ancient items and with cube reforge ability all you need is dedication to run bounties until you get perfect gear. If we talk about seasons, you get free set that is able to run TX anyways, so you can at least split T7 bounties with it, getting 8 bounty materials in 20 minutes max.

    Quote from Skelos_bg»

It's a mess, because the paragon system creates the need for 3 types of leaderboards and we only have one:
    1) The one we have right now - the mixed LB, grind + skill
    2) The one the competitive players want - the skill LB, based purely on skill, with capped paragon and gem levels
    3) The one the paragon lovers want - the grind LB, based purely on paragon level

Wudijo run the last week of the season clearly showed that even the best DH in the world can NOT be rank 1 and overcome the time variable on the mixed LB (case 1). Has wudijo been competing on a case 2) LB he would have reclaimed the rank 1 position again.

I personally don't expect any changes in the paragon system until the next D3 expansion (aka Q3 2017). A lot of time passed since the paragon problem has emerged and the devs didn't show any initiative at all to solve it. It's their game after all. It's their mess also.

    2) that one is not possible if you have RNG based grifts as we do now. Only if everybody would have same grift with same mobs and density and same guardian. Also, same gear. So, its not something we will see in D3.

posted a message on Paragon 10000!

I can only speak from my limited xp, since I didnt do way more that 2k grifts last season, and maybe 10% of those were in meta 4ppl groups.

Maybe when you do some 1k of those you get some crazy routine so you can play while watching some movie or reading shit and still be great for your group, but that is way beyond me.

Well there are some level of skill needed for barbs to pull mobs. I didnt believe that myself but when I saw few 110+ runs on twitch I learned few usefull things, basically how to unstuck mobs or how to move them in large groups over entire screen. And there is for sure some skill involved in proper scouting and preparing ground for wizz to spam twisters.

There is a lot of skill needed for wizzards to call moves for the group, and position twisters in right spots. That is how I see it. Maybe if you play with same group over and over you get to do things without mistakes, but in community games or even public games, I saw many wizzards who, despite 1.3-4k paragons simply did position twisters in wrong spots and that have resulted failed grifts.

I know shit about WD and Monk so can't tell what level of skill is required for those in high group grifts.

posted a message on Paragon Changes - Looking For Feedback

But why is it a problem to have high paragon players if they get their xp in legal ways? It is same as someone would say "lets remove professional athletes from olympic games so me and my fatass bro Joe could compete in 100m race".

    Paragons should not be capped.
