your gpu and RAM are ok, but i'd advise to get a little more RAM.
your cpu speed is slower than the "recommended" speed, but i still think you will be ok
keep in mind that you probably won't be maxing d3 out, but the game should run good with decent framerates

MXL in my opinion, is the best mod for d2 because it...isn't d2 anymore...everything is different and it's alot more complex. plus, it contains a shit ton of lore for d2 and other blizzard games, which is one of the reasons i still play it. warning though, this mod is very hard lol. well, it's hard if you don't know how to play. through all your tactics from vanilla d2 out the window because this game will test your skills, plus you can play it online! (along with a ew other mods like ES) you can also use a plugin to play all the mods and only have 1 copy of d2, that's what i do. MXL is compatible with d2 patches 1.10 and up.
i didn't think of it being BoE or BoP as there isn't any in the game as of now...but still, i wouldn't want it to be powerful item as it would take away the need for farming, which i love to do
damn, you make an interesting point. and maybe, by helping mankind, Cain is trying to right his wrongs or something? lol this sorta sheds new light on good (or bad) ol' Cain.
i would love item quests as a whole, but i would hate for it to be a powerful item as it would flood the market with it. as for having area resets, it really doesn't fit with the diablo franchise and i don't really like it. it doesn't fit into the hack n' slash type of game.

I think that about covers my current build. I just ordered it all from Newegg yesterday. The Mobo is designed for the upcoming Bulldozer processor from AMD to be released shortly. I will be upgrading to that and putting the 1100T in my girlfriend's computer.
personally, i would put it in a eth Berserker Axe, it does sick dmg, and you can dual wield them, or just use a shield. i ended up using a phoenix rw shield for pvm and using beast zerker or another ebotdz for pvp
