I also did some test on the PTR and it really seams the best way to go is only with one set at a time.
IK(fire) seems to be the heavy spender build (HotA, SS). My preference was fire as the Ancients are strongest with it and I could use Cinderoat, FotvP and Strongarms.
The Cauldron of Jordan and Nephalem Cube have been removed.
This is a step back!
Wasn't the idea not to loose past from the combat as much as possible.
Salvage you inventory in 10sec. seems much better then cast TP(2sec) go to BS(6sec) talk to BS(2sec) and then salvage(10sec).
I did hate to go often in town in D2, because the action(game) was outside

What rank key have you reached?
I use http://www.diablofans.com/builds/1682-for-trials
(IK+Raekor and Vile Ward)
with Mirinae, Gogok and WoL as leg.gems.
I get usually rank 33 key stones with it.

I leveled both past lvl25 and couldn't see a big difference.
Opinions?

Edit: But it seems the Life on fury spend is a sure roll.

The stats are somewhat off in your example.
(Primary)
+1500-1750 Damage
1100 STR
+ Life on fury spend ( you'll re-roll this eventually)
25% Seismic Slam Damage
Socket (Ramalandi's Gift)
(Secondary)
+ max Fury
Reduces cost of Seismic Slam by 45%
4x primary + 2x secondary + the gift
At least that dropped for me on the PTR.

EQ (cold) - with cleave to buff EQ damage.
Reakor's (any el.) - Frenzy or any primary.
