    This has been mentioned multiple times in this thread alone, please try and refrain from bumping 10 month old threads.

    What would really be nice is for blizzard to release an update for Diablo 2 and Diablo that would fix these issues. I mean setting my background to black is not that big of a deal but leaveing it that way for a months kind of gets, blah! Then again it might be a big problem for blizzard to fix and not worth their time. I would love to see an option to buy a digital version of Diablo and tie it to my battle.net account. Then maybe they would update it.

Does anyone have some tips on resolving this? Could it be because I installed and ran D1 from an image file on the netbook (they don't have optical drives)?

    I have had the same problems, I have also spent sometime trying to get this to work and cannot. It really is frustrating so if you ever find out how to fix this or if anyone knows can you pleaes respond.
