I did 3 tests, averaged them at 4 likes per 30 seconds; 4/30 or .13333 likes per second as a rough estimate. At that instant the current number of likes needed until 1 million was 1370. That yields about 2.85 hours.
I expect an accelerated rate of likes as we approach 1 million, because that's how social networks work. Also, nothing will probably happen exactly at 1 million, or very close to it. It might take some time for them to release whatever it is they're going to release. Also, it's memorial day, so nothing might happen until Tuesday anyway.
Phrozen, you probably no more about Diablo's lore than anyone else. Blizzard staff included.
A good compliment, but untrue. I'm quite sure that the individuals that created and wrote the lore know a tad more.
Remember, the Diablo books are an independent writer's take on Blizzard's Lore. The books are not consistent with Diablo lore; they can't be, Knaak needs to create more lore in order to write full-length books. When you're comparing the two, you're going to find discrepancies for the same reason I find differences in comparing an apple and a strawberry.

But lo! set your timers and find the champagne!
