Unfortunately I agree with you.. But I don't see the possibility of hackers cracking LAN support being a valid reason to implement LAN support for everyone. The point is, playing in the same room over bnet will be nearly indistinguishable from playing in the same room over LAN.

As I mentioned before, I do sympathize with the modding community. And who knows, maybe they'll implement that in the future. But Blizzard is really cracking down on pirating, and bnet will greatly help with that. In my opinion it's a necessary sacrifice for greater protection from hackers (esp given the whole PSN debacle). Hopefully, people who pirate the game will be punished strongly enough to eradicate the practice.

Now Im gonna play Diablo's advocate a bit here (zing..)but are you sure its still gonna be a quality experience? There are alot of people for what ever reasons that can't get higher than 1.5 meg service int or 3 in my case I live in the mountains(and trust me alot of people who have dsl get stuck like this...its all about how far way you are from the C.O.) Am I going to be able to have me and my 3 buddies have an all day party of food fun and Diablo, or am I going to have a day of dang look at this lag I can't even tell what spell I'm casting. In short if I can play with my buddies in the same room and it has to be over the internet ok, but plz tell me its going to be a good experience. There are alot of good games out now and days that don't support playing the co-op via the same console and I dont want Diablo to be another one of those games that says no to "inperson" gaming. (maybe there's a way they can do Lan where one host computer has to be on B-net and the world can be generated via hardwware for the rest of the pc's based off of that.it fits, No Bnet no game keeps pirates at bay. one pc connected means less network dependence and more likely a quality experienced for people(assuming 3meg isnt enough to support 4player in one house)in my position or worse.) I don't know....I really would like games to support real life gaming a lil more like they used too.

So I don't know many people here yet, but who all is planning on doing some Beta Commentary at this site? I personally don't have a beta key hoping/dreaming to acquire one. I actually bought fraps, and got vdub and the ffdshow codecs and for the first time ever learned how to upload to youtube (lol) (for a sample visit 2nd compression quality test , flawkstawker45). Me and my good buddy are all psyched, if we get a key we will be doing video footage on the Wizard/Barbarian/Demonhunter, but if we don't get one I need to know who I should be watching.

NNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!.....alright I guess i'll have to cope but that really stinks. Unless 3 meg internet can support 4 pcs playing and still have a smoothe game play experience.

I didn't find anything else on the site referring to this topic. Are we going to be able to host LAN parties? Or is it going to be strictly online and single player experiences?

I chose similar to Diablo 2LOD, but only cause I over thought it probably. In my defense however I will say that Diablo 2LOD made them perfect in the sense that they had their uses on the field but they were still a lot more/much squishier than you are. I remember putting alot of time into decking out my act III merc with good equip. He used the ice spell that slows things down. Well i remember fighting my friend in pvp and the mercs dropping like 15 seconds in and the rest of the fight was me.. run cast spell and stay away from my barbarian playing friends clutches. To sum that imagery back into words "Yea those guys helped and yes I'm gonna give them shiny nice things but they're still gonna die alot and thats the way the cookie crumbles."

The good ol sidekicks. Yea I would love to have a merc with me again for some sort of epic solo night, but if they don't have them in at first it wont break the game for me. I sincerely hope that they atleast get some attention on any expansions.

Nice find! Freakin loved Rock and Roll Racing. I love how Blizzard found something they liked (Diablo)and just took over infected it like a virus thus creating Blizzard North(A good and pleasant virus that...umm yea just a good virus). I liked the humble beginnings approach the video takes. It makes it somewhat inspiring. Lastly can anyone prove or disprove the the song rolling at the end of the first video is one of the main themes in TMNT Radical Rescue? I feel like it was but no longer own the game.

I gotta say at first I'm gonna play pVe as my wizard with my buddy rage'n out the barbarian. Then early on I'm gonna check out pVp to see what kinda builds other wizards are doing, just so I can contemplate my possible choices a little more informed. Then right back into pVe cause I wanna get that pVe content and have some nice crafting abilities to help out my alt Demon Hunter (She calls to me from a dark place). There is just way too much in pVe I look forward to for me to even think that my pVp time spent will come close to my time spent in pVe for the first couple of months. Can I get an amen!

Guys I recently just got turned on to your Diablocast by youtubing at work, and its the best thing I ever stumbled apon its like the stars had aligned. Keep up the great work and thanks for the quality job you've been doing. Now since I'm a noob to this fan site I'm off to explore
