posted a message on Could be soon
Mid June, and not a moment before. Blizzard is not capable of releasing on the early side of a given window. Its never happen with a single release they have ever had. Guaranteed its a June release date unless there are any new delays that come up, which isn't entirely unlikely.

I've noticed that in longer posts that are more then a few lines, the little repuration square on the bottom right of each post will often cut off some text. Its a minor annoyance, but would be nice to see some extra padding givin to posts so that this box does not cover up text.

Keep in mind everything detailed in the article today is already in the game, and most of it is complete. Once you get Patch 10 and see that, I think it may sink in that these aren't theoretical changes we're still working on, they're changes we've completed. Obviously the potion button still needs a little work to hook it up correctly, and the character attribute changes need to be balanced and tested for itemization throughout the game, but overall these are changes we've already made.

I do not intend to impress that we're close to release, or infer any such "we're <-- this --> done" kind of statement, but most of these are fairly straightforward changes that are already complete and implemented. We do have more changes, skills and runes, affixes to add, more items, Battle.net features, testing, testing, and more testing etc. to do so we're obviously still not there yet, but none of the changes detailed today are theoretical or yet to be implemented.

so calm the F down lol. all they have to work on is skill/runes for the next few months to release the game, so they can stop focusing on all that stuff cuz its DONE.

why does everyone ignore the big yellow part? Bashiok said its not close to release.

If one country is giving issues, surely the game can be released in other countries - and later in that one as well?
I don't really understand how they could delay the overall release of the game?
you cant understand it cause its not something they are doing =P

They even said they would delay it in one region if needed, delay has nothing to do with it.

I can't believe how many people are taking blizzard at face value here. They are lying through their teeth. They've done it before, and they'll do it again.

No i'm not talking out my ass. Remember this?

PC Gamer interview with Tom Chilton
Quote from name="Tom Chilton" »
Chilton said the speculation was, "wildly overhyped." He added, "if you look at traditionally how we've handled that race it's been in those secondary products because we haven't realized it in the world. Most of the time when we do anything panda-related it's going to be a comic book or a figurine or something like that."
source: http://pc.ign.com/ar.../1191590p1.html

This was right after the Mists of Pandaria trademark was discovered. They denied it, without saying the exact words "Mists of Pandaria is not the next expansion." But Chilton sure aluded to that being what he wanted everyone to believe. Blizzard has lied to us before very blatently when its in their best interest and theres no reason to expect they wouldnt be doing it again.

cept that wasnt a lie,. Most of the time when we do anything panda-related it's going to be a comic book or a figurine or something like that."

They have down right said, NO, its not the reason, over and over. Not maybe its not the reason, not oh well could be others things, they have said, as clear as day, no. We already know they will hold a region back. We already know they hold their own games back until they are ready, 'to them'.

Yes it was sneaky of what they said, but they did not come out and say, hands down, that it was not it.

If it was being held back due to SK, then they just wouldnt say anything, they wouldnt come out, and over and over lie...

If you want to think every company is going to lie to you, thats your choice. They would just shut up and not say anything if this was such an issue, they wouldnt lie over and over. Thats how I feel, and not something you can prove otherwise to me.
You're ignoring the most important part. "Chilton said the speculation was, "wildly overhyped."" What speculation was out there at the time? That mists of pandaria is the next expansion! Calling that speculation overhyped, is basically a denial, and a denial which was a flat out lie.

posted a message on Beta - dissapointed. Very raw
Quote from 1up_Mush

I did not play the beta and with the beast computer i have, i doubt i will have any issues regarding gameplay unless it is related to connection (Core i7, radeon 5450, TTR3 HD). One thing which decieved me a lot is seeing how this game is being noob-oriented. They took out one of the best feature that was in D2, weapon swapping. Blizzard justified taking out this feature by saying that newbs would be too confused with it. This totally pissed me off even to a point where i am reconsidering buying the game... If this game is newb oriented, i will look for another game and won't even bother buying D3. I don'T wan't 13 years old and under game... Since this game is full of blood, it should not be focused around 13 years old kid, really. Make the game for people 18+.

If the weapon swapping was the killer feature that made D2 awesome for you, you're doing it wrong.

There's also one other thing, after what they just tweeted, it would be a major let down if they don't give us the release date at the spike VGA. That tweet is intended to build hype.

Just to keep it in perspective, it also wouldn't be the first time they hyped up(way out of proportion) some street art, so to speak. It could be a release date, it could be a new set of wallpapers on their website. I'm not getting my hopes up personally.

UMADBRO?!??!

PS

Why does everyone hate on wow so much? If you dont like it, just dont play it and ignore it. No need to actively try to bash it.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Release Date Hint?
Looks like there is some evidence supporting a early / mid-december release date of Diablo 3...

Maybe its nothing, or just a coincidence, but the leaked beta downloader has a verisign certificate attached to it which verifies its authenticity. The expiration date of the certificate is december 5th, 2011. Does it make sense that the beta certificate would expire only days, or a couple weeks before the release of the full version? We can hope right?
