Well, D3's style is based upon the Devs, and the current Devs, which are coming from WoW, are clueless about a game style like Diablo's and they are treating it like it is something WoW'ish and that is the point were they failed..

They seem to be better than the previous Devs just because the Wilson's team was something worse than the word "worse" itself, BUT both teams have something in common : THEY DO NOT PLAY THE GAME, so they do not know how to progress correctly, that is why they droping the PTR, that is why we find every god damn time broken things.

D3 is going to a well know path, which is just everything getting easier with every patch, more power creep and more f*cked up balance, almost nothing useful to add, very few QoL and everything seems to be outdated.

i think i've never read so much bullshit in so little text
lol'd. Truth here. Nothing worse than some whiny ass bullshit that only serves to mislead people.

I'm having a blast playing D3 right now. IMO opinion this game is in it's prime. They should really be proud of the improvements and push forward to make this game even better. If they don't, then D3 will go on the same downward spiral as D2, where we gradually saw less and less new content added over time.

    I cannot do it.

Glad you love the game, glad you can play it, but I cannot. Paragon has destroyed this game. Why should I play when botters and no-lifers are going to be 50-75% better than me anyways? I guess for me it is the fact I have aroud 600 hours into the game already, so been there done that, only thing that would keep me going is something new. But flashy changes to set mechanics to me are not changes worth coming back to. QoL changes and the removal of Paragon would be. Instead, experience beyond lvl 70 should be used to power our skills, or maybe our gear. But there should be a limit. Infinite paragon has played a bad/destructive role to the future of D3, I hope they understand that.
This makes sense. I guess for me I'm finding the most enjoyment competing and interacting within the clan I'm in, rather than focusing on what the rest of the globe is doing. Within the clan I don't have to worry about dumb shit like bots and such. I enjoy competing but I'm not pressed to be the best in the world. But I sure as hell love the bragging rights that come with topping a clan leaderboard. I know this probably is the uncommon point of view but it works for me. My clan has about 60+ members and I would say 20-30 players who are active this season. Competing on this smaller scale has me thoroughly engrossed in D3 at the moment. Sorry this went a little off-topic. cheers@

posted a message on Noob Question about Create Build

Hi there, I'm new to Diablo Fans. I was looking at the "Create Build" section today for the first time... I have one question that I can't find an answer to after digging through the forums briefly. I would like to create a build, but since it's my first time, I'm not sure what exactly will happen once I click the "Submit" button. Does clicking the "Submit" button automatically publish the build on the site? Or is there another step after clicking "Submit", but before the build is published. What I'm getting at here is can I create a build and then either save it as a draft, or mark it as private, and not publish it to the site right away?

    Thank you :)

posted a message on Will ever be PvP in this game ?

I'm a longtime Diablo player. I dedicated ALOT of time playing Diablo 2 in it's prime. What made PvP special in D2 was it being a "game within the game". The success of PvP in D2 was more or less created and established by the players. The creators just added the option to go "Hostile" against a player who was in the same game as you. Sure, there were aspects thought out by the designers as to what should happen when a player is fighting another player, but I doubt they thought it would become it's own "thing" within the game itself.

It was really more than "Oh, lets just play diablo 2 PvP, cause that's what this game is". It was about being in a game, discussing strategies, bullshitting, talking trash, and occasionally saying "G", and running out of town into the Moors to get your fight on. It was a break from leveling and doing MF runs, with no real guidelines as to what should or shouldn't happen. The players established there own guidelines and, for the most part, they stuck.

As far as Diablo 3 goes, I am thoroughly enjoying the game because I feel like Blizzard has effectively combined elements of old and new - It feels fresh, but there are plenty of things that simply remind me of the old diablo games... and I like that feeling.

    BUT...

The whole idea of what Blizzard perceives to be PvP as a part of Diablo, in this game, just feels wrong to me. I mean... It's there.... "Brawling". But again, it just doesn't feel right.

I think they should have just mimicked what they did for D2 - add a "hostile" option, and let players freely fight one another outside of town. And, sure add some PvP damage nerfs or whatever to make it more enjoyable, but I don't think it really needs to go beyond that. Let the players make something out of it.

The bottom line for me is gonna sound cliché, but seriously.... If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And if you want to make it better, than try to make it better. BUT, if something doesn't work, than that shit just don't work.

If Blizzard really wants PvP to be a "thing" in Diablo 3, I think they need to take the simplified approach and go back to what works. Start there, and then try to make it better.

    Have fun, and Cheers!
