Yeah, but multishot is one of the best tools to "guide" your enemies where you want them to be at in my honest opinion. Also you can stop rushes quite easily. You got a point there, you coul level your multishot in d2 for good aoe range, you cant in d3, hoping for a decent aoe range in d3 though. Maybe I played too much tvt ama in past but well, my expectations for dh in pvp are high. Especially with this smal scale maps, a ranged character should be the boss. I mean, the size is not even as big as a quarter of bloodmoore ... or am I wrong?
I've had the chance to play beta on the past weekend (before and after patch) for some hours.
The experience I had with my dh was very similar to d2 amazon (bowzon) and it totally rocked. In terms of damage over distance, sniping ability and overall feeling it was very close. You wont be disappointed, I can approve that. But you can also play your dh into a very different direction (trapper build e.g., utility build, close range build, dual wield style ak the wild wild west style).
I'd rather name it clans in d3, personal preference though.
Clan support would be nice in my opinion, we already missed those features in d2.
I'm speaking of:
- Invite players into your clan, tag them as clanmember with eg. initials
- Own chat channel
- Possibilty of creating clanwars vs other clans (e.g. 4v4 arena lms / best of 5)
- a lot more could be done ...
It's curious they didnt add this into the game already, for me this would be an obvious feature if I'd had played the foregoing title diablo 2 to some serious extent.
Possibly b.net 2.0 still sucks and doesnt offer those features right now?
----- edit -----
I like the idea of doing scheduled farm runs with my mates. Just would do it in terms of getting everyone geared out for inferno and arena than on making profit in rmah.
This build reminds me of , and is also played alike the kind of tvt amazons we had in d2, just with the iteration of being able to switch position very fast in ahead of your enemy.
This dhs type of playstyle is going to be like a hunting wolf: pushing a horde of sheeps into bad positions with multishot/hungering arrow penetration. Finally assisting your Barb and Wizard to blow down your enemies with single target dps when they're cornered and weak.
Actives:
The active set of this build allows you to always pressure, move them into directions, never miss a hit from far, slow them, stun them and finally set up the kill.
Passives:
Ensure high mobility, ensure high crit.
Item setup:
2h bow
focused on max increased attack speed, dex, crit, damage *dream*
low - medium vitality / high evasion
Barb: high shouts/teamabilities / balance between life < - > damage
Wizard: Burst, disable(cc)
Yeah, thats what I am planning to do in pvp. What you think of this?
guys, what's about having fg + mf on your items. It's assumable you'll have items wíth both stats. this was common in d2, and If I remember correctly I have already seen this 2 stats on d3 beta items.
I also don't think DH needs to be changed by now. Although this is just pure speculation, but I'm under the impression demonhunter will have the highest damage output with an endgame bow, lvl 60, highend equip. Don't focus too much on defensive skills/setups, my demonhunter is built to kill faster than he/she can be killed.
Why? To check overall look and feel, make a comparison to d2 and cause I wanna test the demonhunter!!!
And ofcourse because I can't wait any longer for this game
What do you guy's think if there was a PVP arena where items dropped upon death and the person who killed is the only person who can see the loot. Opinions and suggestions pertaining to players item dropping upon death?
In Diablo 2 Classic I did loot some peoples rare stuffs by killing them. Was possible back then, althought I dont know in which patch and how exactly we did that. Killing someone twice and naked was involved I believe. Those were fun times in bloodmoore
DOTA is about as complex as a web based flash game and it is fine for newbs (people new to video games). Angry birds is popular too, but it is ridiculous to suggest Blizzard implement things from these popular newb(people new to video games) games because they are popular.
I don't really care about your opinion of DOTA or Angry Birds. Point being is that they are a game for newbs (people new to video games) and shouldn't be inspiration for Diablo 3.
lol, the only newb I can see here are you.
try playing dota on a competitive level, you'll be getting stomped 24/7 for the next 3 years. dota is soooo newb, the whole price money and industry involved, is just a fucking illusion. dota has a lot more depth than you think.
no I don't wanna have dota in diablo 3 .... but you, you're a hillarious noob kid

Hey guys, out of boringness, I decided to have a look into d2jsp's diablo 3 forum last night . Have been frequently using d2jsp in d2 but I didnt know about the newest stuff goin on:
Guys who got into beta are offering their account for usage in trade-off for fg (forumgold).
Whoever hasn't been able to play the beta, is now able to do so!
Obtaining fg is done by trading d2 items/wow gold vs this virtual currency (or by buying some fg from d2jsp's shop). Well, it's not that hard to stock some fg if you got some well equipped d2 characters from the past.
Again, I didn't come here to advertise for d2jsp, I just thought it's too big of a chance for some of you (whether you have a d2jsp account or not). See it as a friendly tip.

Actually dh felt very strong in my beta experience.
