Guilds shouldn't be just plain old I'm in this guild there should be some fun to it like a leaderboard in the guild, who plays more whos killed the most monsters in the past week. Stuff like that can make it a little more fun for some.

It would be a great idea if they implemented some sort of stat system for guilds. If you can track the progress of all the members in your guild, like the example you gave, "whos killed the most monsters in the past week". That would be awesome!

Balancing - If the game is not somewhat balanced at the start then who cares for it, Look at CoD Black ops. The guns were insanely unbalanced at launch, with 5 million people from Xbox 360 ALONE. What happened after 1 week that number dropped to just 1 million. Why? For the simple fact that it was unbalanced and unfair, those players did not like it and therefore did not play it throughout.

Although this is a very good point, and of course Blizzard will do there best to make it as balanced as possible for the retail release, I don't think that CoD:BO was really that unbalanced. It's not like 4 million people said fuck this game.

The reason it went from 5 million to 1 million is because everyone was anxious to play it the first day it was launched, and then a week later people were playing it when they had the chance, not 24/7. Infact Black Ops is probably the most balanced CoD game out there.

What i fear is what ive seen in other rpg, such as FFXIII, last remnant, final fantasy tactics A2, ect; part of the system they had in place is that some upgrades you needed low lvl stuff to get higher stuff, so if you went through a part of the game fast and didnt pick up enough of this item you had to go back and grind low lvl crap gaining no xp and largely wasting time. I hope blizzard is smart enough to see around this, but if they base it off their enchanting lvling system of wow, it will not be fun, you will need, lets say 100 things from lvl 1-10, 100 from 11-20, ect, but what they seem to forget is even though 1-10 and 11-20 are technically the same number of levels you spend 4 times as long on the latter. So say it takes 10 hours to lvl from 1-10, and you need 100 things to "disenchant" or "destroy" or "salvage" that means you need to find 10 things an hour to do so (and hope it salvages into exactly what you want), now consider lvls 11-20, you need 100 items but now you have 40 hours to find them, now you only need 2.5 things to drop per hour. WoW/blizzard never seemed to get this point, i would either have to go back and get stuff from the past, or i would be stuck on a certain tier/10lvl span that i would get ahead and my profession would be at a stand still.

    Hope all that makes sense.

That makes sense, but I don't think it matters what level your artisan is. You can salvage any salvagable item at any level, however you will require a higher level artisan to get higher level crafted gear. You'll also need to find the recipes for the gear.

At least that's what I understand anyways.

P.S - I guess you can mod Auto-Matching so that it only works for thoes who have clicked auto-matching as well. Guessing this can take up to 30 seconds to find/search and assemble the team of you want.

Do you know if they will be implementing this for sure?

I really hope they add it, but right now, chances are loooking dim.

I think it would be great if they implemented the auto-matching, but like you said, it's something they should worry about last (that's if they even have to worry about it) lol

SC2 is a good game, and you can obviously see it's popularity. It'll take time to make it 99% perfect balanced, it'll never be 100%.

Enough of SC2, lets get back to Diablo III!

Be glad when they release this - it is strictly a gift to fans that costs them money.

I doubt they will lose money in the end, but either way I cannot wait for this gift! It's like Christmas as a young child! haha

My theory is this, Diablo is probably 95% completed, just need be polished a tiny bit more and fix somemore bugs. The reason it's not out yet is because they are working on the 2 expansion packs and are making sure everything "fits" story wise and game machanics/balance to work with whatever they might add so that when they release those expansions, they don't go "Oh we should of done that in D3 before releasing out xpacks now it's ***ing up everything!".

Haha your theory is good, I hope the same thing! Oh and if were lucky, we might get a beta soon!

Also it is meant to help the Single Player to advance in the game if his/her luck is bad at getting items from drops. The drops that did not benefit could be used in trying to get an item that the character is lacking without doing a lot of re-running areas due to the character lacking items to continue.

That's true, and this concept will still apply in multiplayer as well, not just single player.

More importantly, have you ever played a game with a salvage system? It's terrible! I'll telling you man, it's not fun at all. It feels like a chore. Do I look like an inmate? Do I want to pick up the litter along mile marker 118?

The point of the salvage system is so that you don't need to waste all your time crafting items. The artisans will take care of that for you, unlike WoW where you need to spend hours crafting items. This system allows us to kill more monsters and explore Sanctuary to it's fullest, rather than spending all our time in town crafting.

When is the exact date for the next conference call?

I don't think there is a set date (at least not for public knowledge), but last year it was May 6th. Maybe it will be the same as last year? Who knows.... lol

Nice rant lol... I hope they release beta within the next 2-3 months, and then hopefully release the retail version before 2012!

I guess we shouldn't get our hopes up though... =(

If you think about end game though (rather than the leveling process), it would be really nice to be able to duel someone, especially when you just want to have some fun against friends.

I doubt you'll be able to do this in normal PvP, you can only be on a team with your friends in the arena.

All gold does is equalize every item into a common currency. So, you don't have to find that one person that wants your voodoo mask for their epic axe. You can sell the voodoo mask to anyone for the gold and then use that gold to buy the axe you need. I don't see why so many people are against a universal currency.

I thought Blizzard was trying to implement gold as a universal currency in D3?
