Well after ais patch i was so angery because i used real currency to get an item and then it basically got nerfed. So i went to paypal and did a charge back due to fraud and item was altered from its original state. Now its funny TOS states its a bannable offense to chargeback.

The blizzard support also emailed me saying they were going to ban my account as well which i replied to stating that i would contact a lawyer. I used the example of buying a new car with the highest upgrades blue tooth, sound system, low profiles ect, saying that if i purchased a car then took it to the dealership for check ups and they took all the stuff back saying its our car we do what we want when we want would not hold up in court. They had absolutly no reply back. So i then went back to pay pal chargebacked my account for the full price i paid and waited.

2 days later they refunded the money for my item and the full amount of the game. Which means blizzards Tos allowing them to screw over players and not refunding will not be tolerated by paypal. So if you are not happy with the game i would suggest to contact paypal and open a dispute.

Read: I failed to read the ToS (which I legally agreed to [and legally claimed I had read them] when clicking accept), failed to read patch notes, and am now crying about it while A.) threatening legal action of which I have no foundation or understanding, and B.) committing fraud against Blizzard (by way of refunding your account money with which you have already purchased an item that you now hold).

Perhaps you should contact a lawyer - they can clue you in as to how absolutely moronic your actions are.

It's a bit funny that he himself is commiting fraud against Blizzard now, I miss the ol' Blizzard that would take these seriously and counter-sue and make an example out of people like this. (Private servers, etc days.)

Are you serious? You are simply asinine. It's funny because Blizzard has stated multiple times that all items are subject to change.

Therefore you bought an item with knowledge and information it could be changed? That right there does not constitute "item altered" because the "item" was purchased with the knowledge that it might change.

It's people like you that simply disgust me and get their way with your QQ - I rarely ever post or comment on things I see with people crying because they didn't get their way... But when I see someone who ends up getting their way because their a crybaby and don't like how things work, it just peeves me.

I've purchased PLENTY of items that recent patches have changed and know what I decided, "Oh shit I knew this would happen, why would I steal money from a company when I knew it would occur."

Should add me. I have a group of friends I played with but they all died within 5-10 minutes of one another on Izual and on the way to Diablo during nightmare. I am currently at level 53 waiting for them to catch back up.

Add my real ID, I don't care. PhillippOdom@gmail.com

We might be able to help one another, or whatever.

    Quote from grothesk

So, let's get right to the point. WHY is single player not allowed? I proclaim it is because they want to push people towards the real money auction house. If someone can offer a valid reason beyond this I ask you to share it here. Keep in mind that Skyrim was ultra successful and it was a single player, offline game so any argument that cannot be applied to that game will be dismissed.

Maybe it is for pushing people towards the RMAH, but keep in mind it could also be for simplicity.

Like updates, hotfixes, the ability to change mechanics/stats on items/monsters without requiring patches. (Due to files be on blizzards end.)

I for know one reason that I would have an online-only game : Piracy. I know it's not the main drive but you would be daft to believe that it isn't making them more money. It's not the best solutions for it, there are other ways to authenticate real users and such. (Such as a weekly one-time connection, things of that sort.)

Also making making sure everyone is on the same level/update at the same time is nice too, eliminates a lot of "are you up to date" issues, etc. Also if something does happen developers don't have to struggle with verifying if the issue is only happening to some people in single player, or only multiplayer, or whatever. Also with being online only, MOST of the game is handled on their servers which keeps it out of the hands of people who would attempt to find ways to hack it up. Plus if they release offline singleplayer, due to the architecture of the game, they would need to point the game to pull files/mobs/everything else it currently does from your local machine instead.

What does that do? Just gives the files to hackers who would host their own "private" servers to allow connections to their junk instead of Blizzard.

    -

I think the sooner we realize the game is ONLY a multi-player game with people in multi-player instances, but just by themselves, the sooner we can get past all of this.

Has anyone tried playing the game without using elective mode and without using the auction house? Just a thought. Might be a fun challenge.

People use the auction house? O:
People don't use the auction house? :o

I've never used the auction house... For some reason it feels a bit... I don't know... Un-D3y? If that makes any sense.
I don't care that it's there at all; there is just something that Irks me when my friend messages me and is all "I downed so and so with EASE." And it's because he got a few lucky buys on the AH.

I guess I'm just gimping myself, but oh well. Finding my gear and trading is how I'll always do it.

Speaking of, about to start Act 3 Hardcore. First time there.

Any tips?! :D (No spoilers plox.)

You need some bottled water in there!

And it depends on how hardcore you are. If you are REALLY hardcore you'd have a toilet installed in the room for le' poop time.

    Quote from Makesh

Does this mean that we will only really farm the last act of Inferno instead of all the acts?

For the absolute best? Most likely.

I am hoping though that the risk/time required for the last act to be farmed will be high enough to almost warrant people sticking to the other acts for awhile.

    Quote from TheRaven476

Anyone else notice that the wizard would telleport after using defensive abilities like Frost Nova and Slow Time. This video must have been shot mostly with an old build since telleport takes up the same slot as those 2 abilities......

Kind of disappointing, the video made it seem so cool using those abilities then hopping around. Sucks that we won't actually be able to do that unless they move telleport to another slot. Might have worked better under the mastery slot... anyone else agree?

What? You do know that you aren't tied to the default slot system, right? :)

Also, playing the game right at midnight isn't important to me. I've waited for a couple years for the game to release by now so a few extra hours of wait won't bother me.
    This +1.

I am also buying the physical copy because I have a shelf that is more or less dedicated to my Blizzard CE boxes; they all look good next to one another and this won't be any different. (Of course I am getting the CE.)

Plus there is just something nice about having a disk in your hands; that you own and is under your control and ability to break. Plus when you get a physical copy of a Blizzard game you can always just download the virtual version once you register it from Battle.net.

3-5 minutes is a fast sketch. Gonna make Diablo 3, thats more of a challenge, I havent drawn him before. perhaps make a video out of it aswell..

I'm sure it'll look good; I prefer the Diablo 3 Diablo, just because of the angular features he has compared to D2.

Record a video of you drawing it!

You should add a poll definitely to this, maybe it'll be easier to tally the results?

My friend just got her Beta key yesterday - got it from the Bookface Sweepstakes and she is running Wind7 x64 Professional.

posted a message on Item Enchanting (Fortification)
There have been videos during blizzcon and other places that show the crafting procedure; someone in a video if I remember correctly had created a new fist weapon and it was randomly enchanted with the poison property upon creation.

Who really knows though, I think enchantment will be a "one time" thing per item- and random just like the Charsi quest in Diablo 2. Just this time you can do it more than once.
