My guess is still that at Blizzcon, they'll release some sort of DLC pack with an Act 6 campaign; whether free for paid. Finishing off the D3 story with one of the hand drawn styled cutscenes is kinda crappy and this will at least make the game somewhat complete. They don't have a game director atm so I doubt that it'll be the release of a fully fledged xpac with an increase in character level, new skills, new class, etc. There's a lot of work that follows post release with balancing that stuff but a new Act is doable.
Meanwhile, they'll probably showcase some legendary powers for the remaining items with no powers, and maybe another round of 6pc sets, one for each class, to look forward to in 2017... maybe an increase in stash tabs to 15? These things are small scale enough that someone at Wyatt Cheng's could oversee it.
There might be a tease of D4... maybe introducing the new game director if they've hired the person but I seriously doubt they'll be showcasing anything, just announcing that they're working on it and that it'll be released when it's ready.

I'm guessing the pennant will drop from either Bashiok or from the fallen corpse that drops Wirt's Original leg.

My group did Boss Mode and it was definitely quite fun. Though, we each took A1, 2, 4, and 5 (my barb was specced for a bit of speed so I took A5... didn't stop me from being last to our respective bosses each time). Went to one boss in each of those act per round and did the TP and waypoint trick as suggested in the article. After the 3 bosses in each of those acts were done, we then split up A3.
Done with 2min spare.
Between this and the 350 kill conquest, they're definitely the two easiest to do in groups.

And this is why so many NS are up in arms about those stash tabs being bound to Season.Quote from Archangel2736»
2 pieces after reach lvl 70 (I agree); Defeat Izual at lvl 70 on T2 or higher (not agree), should be T6 or higher, last 2 pieces should be at least GR45....Players can do around at 400-500 Paragon, GR70+ solo even non ancients ( I did in S5) and after need to farm more paragon, augments and you can do speed GR70-75+ solo, etc...
As primarily a NS player, The current implementation of Haedrig's Gift does allow me to get that tab in under a week then go back to NS play. I hit ~P400 in S5 when I got my tab but still helped out clan mates with getting their tab so ended up at ~P600. I did not want to hang around seasons more than I needed to with the exception of attempting some Conquests simply because I had the gear.
But making the seasonal journey easier for players like me will dilute the experience for players who play seasons for seasons. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Somehow I think some of this stuff like the D4 die was deliberate as a means for Blizzard to gauge what the community wants so they can make their next step.
Though, IMHO, I think D4 will come when they can get their security right to include an offline mode. D3 got massive flack for the online only requirement. I dare say that bringing seasons to console is a way for them to test that.

I'd love it they released a mini paid expansion that introduced a new act, 2 new classes (one that specialises in all main stats and the other in vit as their main stat), doubled the stash size to a max 20 tabs (for those of us who unlock all tabs via seasons), as well as throw in 10 additional character slots. Don't particularly want a level cap raise. They can then just keep churning out content patches every year then.
I have the CE with with 10 more character slots, that's 25 slots... if there were 8 classes, that's 3 characters per class in my permanent roster I could rotate between and 1 more I could use as a disposable seasonal character... just to get the cosmetics.
And then they can have David Brevik and Bill Roper work on Diablo 4 for a few years, before we migrate away from D3.

WD on my main account. DHs on my alt and my bro's account if I get time to go through the journey on those accounts too.

Anyone who's doing the above and knows how to TP back to town to save the boss entrance location stands a good chance of doing this. I did it in a 4 man group in S6 with just the essential coordination and my own spec of Raekors with Boulder Toss.

Smartarse way of saying D3 is dead?
And there's 4 characters in the message... Diablo 4 CONFIRMED!

Upcoming content could be anything from a bunch of new transmogs to xpac 2. Guess we'll find out in 3 weeks time.

Looks like a repeat of the S6 Conquests of choice for me then. Curses is easy once you find the cursed peat event and Boss Mode is easy as. I dunno why so many people shyed away from it. Compared to the GR75 solo, set dungeons and GR55 with 6 sets requirement, it's very easy and fun to do in a group.

But for those who only do seasons for the stash tab (assuming that's all drizzt_ is after) haedrig's gift makes a big difference.

I'd also include mastering the set dungeon. Sure, if could be put under 'Finishing the journey' but for most part, the objectives in the journey build on top of what's come before. The set dungeon is a whole different beast in itself and there's typically one set per class that has super easy set dungeon. Picking a class who's haedrig's gift is this set or is one of that class' viable GR pushing sets will mean you won't have to farm up one more set.
In S8, IMHO the best solo class for getting the stash tab is DH. Nats is the DH's easy set dungeon and with a few pieces of M6 with Nats, it's viable for GR pushing. One would still want UE for the speed rift clears though but you won't really need UE till Destroyer or Conqueror. It's the DHs ability to speed clear rifts as well as do the other requirements that sets it apart for solo.
In a team/clan environment, I'd add on Barb and WD. If you have other players to help you speed clear rifts, WD and Barb have Arachyr and IK which are another two easy set dungeons and both sets are end game viable for GR64 (IK with R6 at least... not sure how it does by itself these days).
For getting the stash tab asap, I wouldn't touch Monk, Wiz or Sader since their haedrig's gift requires very specific complimentary weapons and legendary items to be effective, severely limiting effectiveness to quickly jump to T10 farming. I've had some Monk players say they've gone 600+ paragons without seeing a Fist of Az.

Yes, it's working in enticing NS players into Seasons. Though, I doubt many will stay after their entire stash is unlocked.
By my estimates, we'll be into S8 come end of November. I'll have all tabs unlocked by December on my main account... and a 9 tab stash on my alt account. If all goes to plan, I'll be resuming postgrad studies next year so may just have time to unlock that 10th stash tab on my alt account before studies ramp up. Definitely won't be playing Seasons after that and thankfully will only need to do S9 with one account.

Invokers Sader for sure.
It's easy to gear for... in fact, you want to avoid crit stats on your gear and the 6 pc set pretty much gives you the damage from the secondary thorn rolls it always has.

Yep, DDoS. Script kiddies need another spanking. Or a punch through the head.
