It's weird. I'm starting to wonder if Inferno will actually be worth what's sounding like the abysmal slow and difficult (read: frustrating kind of difficult, not "overcoming a good challenge" difficult) process of getting through it. It seems like the strategy will boil down to, get as far as you can, getting any upgrades you can, then start over (or earlier), and try to progress further than you got before - repeat to infinity. But, what is the tradeoff for dying repeatedly? One piece of gear per 50, 100, more deaths (just spitballin' numbers)? And, will the gear be absolutely that much better? It's obviously not for everyone - I definitely want to attempt it, but I'm beginning to think that neither I nor my patience will last very long.

I like the revision Ruppgu put up. This is definitely the type of build I'd like to test while leveling to my "planned build."

posted a message on Diablo 3 Opening Cinematic
    Quote from LordRayken

The cardboard stuff doesn't DO anything to present us to the story as CHARACTERS. It simply says "Heaven vs Hell. Kay."

Unlike in Diablo 1 and 2's intros, we see humans fighting against very real struggles, predominately DEMONS, and we see the terrifying destruction they wreak on mankind instantly with abandoned/destroyed buildings, dead bodies, monstrous catacombs, a burning tavern, people taking up arms and being slapped down, and a guy following some madman in a cloak who's probably been driven insane by nightmares.

In Diablo 3 we see some Angels and Demons fighting in Cardboard, and two people standing around and a meteor hits.

I'm starting to think that you are just trolling everyone for your own enjoyment. Please enlighten me on how the Diablo 1 cinematic sets up anything about anything. I'm not saying it's bad, but it does NOTHING to set up anything and it doesn't inform someone who knows nothing about Diablo of anything about the universe. It's just a deserted town, some clanking windows, a sword, slow motion zoom ins on dead things and a sizzle reel of demons and a warrior. Now the Diablo 2 cinematic is super informative but that's because IT'S SEVEN MINUTES LONG!!! How could it not explain everything that was going on? In a short time, the D3 cinematic sets up the back story of the war and Sanctuary AND introduces the initial mystery for the start of the game. What more should a cinematic do?
