I'm greatly disappointed with the diablo community right now. So hard to explain to casual (even veterans, sigh) players that it's going to be fine w/o follower past normal or in c-op. I think a lot are still ignorant with what diablo 3 classes has to offer through out the game and still scared of not having followers with them.
I to am greatly disappointed . It really highlights the unwillingness of people to accept change. I'm just grateful that blizzard chose to develop D3, I know they don't owe me anything so I don't expect anything from them.. plus they will always do what's best for their shareholders (and that's to make a popular game), thats the nature of a publicly listed company.
LOL. Both of your statements are false. Why are we scared of playing alone if we are saying to scrap the idea? which is what most of us are saying. thats a very big change. btw.
I'm on your side silly. My post are for peeps that wanted it more than normal (my mistake was I generalized). Anyway, I went to the official d3 forums and a bit surprised that there's no lengthy thread regarding followers.

Yes it will be weird and town portal will be surely missed but it's for the good of the game. People are too smart not to find a different way anyway. I don't mean finding glitch or hacks just different strategy for steamrolling a map

I am not going to argue much with you since we have a different view to it and the game isn't even released yet (meaning I can be wrong and also crave for more levels). What I said is based off what the common knowledge so far for d3 and level cap is the least of my concern. As a diablo gamer, did you really just asked me what I'm going to do with the loot I found, wow? Anyway just an fyi, what I meant grind for loot is to look for that right item for my current build...

I bet it will only take 1 good achievement (that gives you a bragging rights) to replace peeps urge to grind for level 99.

This system is completely "optional". If it doesn't make sense to you then don't use it. Oh I just wished you just voted "I'm not going to spend time and resources crafting" and moved on...

I feel you man, in Diablo 3 I will definitely be an achievement whore. So maxing all 3 artisans will be one of my many goals in the game!

I've watched a lot of diablo 3 gameplay videos over and over and over again but the gold's brightness never really caught my attention till you mentioned it. I see them clearly now but I'm sure I'll forget about it again soon enough
I am more concerned on how they will approach the looting. I hope by only clicking alt (or any button you desire) will items will be lootable because I don't want to accidentally mouse over one and try to loot it instead of killing a demon.
It's also good to see more sharper screenshots. I remember when they mentioned that they won't fully support AA but the screenshot has less jaggies especially that last few batch. The artwork also looks cool.

These came from one of level 60 cap quotes from bashiok and it looks like a good pace to me. I'm not a big fan of grinding levels nor tried to reach level 99 back in LoD. I would still rather look for that gear/loots or do that end game that blizz has planned out for d3 than grinding for max level. I'm pretty sure Diablo 3 will have hundreds of achievement at release (and more will be added through minor/major patches) and this alone pumps me up!
In my opinion it will only take 1 good achievement (that gives you a bragging rights) to replace peeps urge for being level 99

Zelda - if you're really a dedicated player maybe you will play a single zelda game for 2-3 weeks (maybe a month most) with everything unlocked, all secret/easter egg revealed then you're done.
Diablo 3 - you will be playing for 3-5 years. Oh wait you just discovered another build let's add another year!!
See the underlined words? See my point? Don't get me wrong though I like zelda games, too.
And why must everyone always blame it on WoW? I mean come on, what did WoW do to you? WoW is a good game and if isn't then why the heck does at least 10million plays it, there got to be a reason right? It's not for everyone I get it some people like WoW and some people like minecraft, see my point? Anyway, even before WoW blizzard already does the "when it's done" line. They're just a company that takes care of their games. If you haven't, please watch the blizzard retrospective video on their website, you might learn a thing or two.

There should be a long (hour/s) cooldown after swapping one (selfcast)
and
Mystic should be able to swap out runes (no CD but costs gold or short/minutes CD but costs cheaper)
