HOW DOES THIS HELP ME AS A VIEWER?
We provide viewers with lots of cool features to play around with while watching their favorite stream. By watching a stream on the network, you obtain that stream's currency. You can then spend the currency on lots of different things; from website features, to services the streamer provides, to gambling!
PURCHASE WEBSITE FEATURES
There are a couple of features on the website that you can spend your currency on at the moment, Premium Membership and Loaded Dice. You can purchase them from the sidebar on a streamer's page. Each feature is only unlocked for the stream you purchase it for, not all of them. Features are also permanently attached to your account, so you'll have them forever.
PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
By purchasing Premium Membership, you are unlocked bonuses for your ManaPot account. The most noticeable bonus is the increased currency gain. Instead of gaining the standard 5 currency every 15 minutes, your account will gain even more (up to 30 currency every 15 minutes)! Since Premium Membership is a permament, you will eventually earn back all of the currency that you spent on membership, plus more. This feature is intended for dedicated viewers who want to help out the streamer and eventually come out ahead due to their loyalty.
LOADED DICE
Want to gain an edge in gambling? Loaded Dice will do just that for you! When participating in gambling features on the website, the Loaded Dice will increase the minimum roll you can get.
For example, let's say there is a 100 currency duel going on in the stream chat. If you purchase 15% Loaded Dice, the lowest possible roll you can get is 15.
PURCHASE STREAM SERVICES
We encourage our streamers to provide fun and useful services on their stream. Some good examples are being able to play in-game with them, or to have them do some sort of task for a specified amount of time. This gives you a reward for being loyal to that stream and saving up your currency.
If there is ever anything that you would like to see your favorite streamer offer, tell it to them! Some other viewers might have idea and want it added as well. The more you help out the streamer, the more they can help out you.
HOW DOES THIS HELP ME AS A STREAMER?
Interaction with your viewers is HUGE! It doesn't matter if you stream in 1080p, have a great stream setup or play the coolest music. If you don't interact with your viewers, your stream will never take off. If people wanted to watch regular gameplay without feeling like they are a part of it, they would just go watch some YouTube videos.
We aim at providing our members with tools to help engage with their audience. And in return, they get even more loyal viewers. And remember, loyal viewers = donations. Everybody wants to make money right? Now, we aren't saying that you have to beg for donations or even want to get donations. Blizzard just confirmed that Murkablo will be this year's Blizzcon reward for you World of Warcraft players. We've all assumed this for a while, but it's now confirmed. I for one, am quite happy. I'm an avid WoW player, so this is right up my alley. And the coolest thing about him is, he sets your character on fire!
With Gamescom behind us now, Bashiok has released a little tid-bit about the upcoming Diablo III forums. It looks like we can plan on having the new Diablo III community site up and running within the next week or two. Bashiok specifically states that the new forums will be here before the Diablo III beta testing begins. And we all know that beta should be starting within a couple of weeks (early to mid September at the latest).
This is a highly anticipated feature that Diablo fans have been waiting for. This will be the last game in Blizzard’s little circle of games to receive it’s blog site and forums.
I almost wish that they don't add MF to D3. I didn't like the idea of having to stack as much MF as you can, to go kill a boss over and over and over. It kind of ruined the game in my opinion. Just, put in a set drop rate, and let the players do it the old fashion way...
