In all honesty... After waiting this long... I just want my beta. I know that sharing some of these new systems seems juicy and gives us something to talk about, maybe it's just me but I'm kinda tired of seeing updates rather than release dates... Tired of being poked by the teasing Blizzard stick I suppose <_<
Wizard / Demon Hunter seems like it would be a deadly combo... Not only do they have the fastest travel skills *Teleport, Vault so they would essentially have the best orb control... but Entangling Shot and Slow Time combo sounds pretty nasty... not to mention how hard it would be to stay within close range to hit them.
Yes it is nice to read new things (even if the content is a little dry). I think blizzard is trying to hint at something here. Having to rely on health globes and running into a few problems (like cooldowns, traps, and being surrounded) will probably be much more difficult to traverse than we think it is... or Blizzard just might be making hype so we superfans have something to talk about.
But anyways, it is something to think about... I just need to remind my self to put back some money for new keyboards and mice... we all have to vent sometimes :wallbash:
I understand where Ophion is coming from... In D2 there are no magic crits... but if you watch the new D3 pvp video you can see the Wizards spells are critting now... happens several times with Disintergrate and Spectral Blade...*the crits are the yellow numbers*
Yes I too was thrilled to see the end-comings of the post. I am hoping for the next big announcement blizzard will make will be Beta sign-ups. I don't mind the stat being called Attack (even though it does feel generalized and takes away some of the classic feel). When it comes down to it, it's just a word... Attack, Strike, Power, Force, Strength, Dexterity, so on and so forth... It's like being mad cause someone called Thor's Hammer a Maul... big deal... it's the same thing isn't it? The only thing about class specific items that bothers me is thinking *looking in my stash full of other class specific items* "Now what could I make room for"
If you do not know about this guy yet he has some fairly new video's on Diablo 3. He does a good Shoutcast using the newer Arena PVP video. http://www.youtube.com/user/ForceD3strategy He is definitely worth checking out
A lot of discussion on youtube comments and several other forums are tossing the idea around that Diablo 3 could possibly turn Pay to Play. So far about 99% of feedback has been against the idea all together. Arguments ranging from "WTF if it's not going to be an MMO then why should we have to pay" to "Don't they make enough money from WoW anyways <_< "
Now I ask you.. Is paying 5 to 15 dollars a month really that much of a hassle. It is cheaper than any other addiction or necessity that I can think of ex: Gas, Cigs, Soda, Junk food, Alcohol, Herbal supplements :whistling:. I would say that subscription based games thwart unwanted players away like spoiled children or disrespectful teenagers, but Xbox live and World of Warcraft are both subscription based and they are full of said brats .
So to wrap this all up I ask you to please share your opinion with me. Do you think Pay to Play is a good idea or not.
I believe I've been lurking here since June 28 of 2008... (Don't judge me  ) I have been a die hard Diablo fan since the good old days of Obsidian rings and Godly plates. But for the past few weeks the Diablo info has come to a near halt in my opinion. So I believe it is time to get these embers burning again, Anything and everything big or small Diablo wise I will contribute for speculation and general interest. I hope the rest of you will gladly accept another spot into your ranks :thanks:
