We get you. You like the base game, you're dissatisfied with the end game and the loot. I'm in the same boat. However, I'm not going to everyone's happy thread to tell them how bad they'll feel in a little.
Knock it the hell off, and start your own thread, and keep it there. -

I don't remember seeing that statement (with promises that console will have all the updates they're working one). Even if they said that, it's not like we don't know Blizzard, maybe they thought that would be done for the console release and it won't (and they know that but don't wanna tell it to us right now).Quote from Vaizard87
Why you say this Vaizard? Has not blizzard said that all of the updates they are working on will be in the console release.
Console release Nov 3
Blizzcon Nov 8-9
PC 1.0.9 release is after Blizzcon
I ask again, how is it that a console version gets the updates to itemization before the PC which has been out for over a year.
It makes no sense at all.
Also, even if "all the updates" includes the itemization patch (I think it doesn't, just the "other" changes that happen until then), we don't know if the console itemization won't be 100% different from the PC, we have absolutely no details on that.
To be fair, this is just heavy pointless speculation at this point. I'm sure we will have more details once we get closer to the release date. So let's all calm the fuck down -

My opinion on this is screw the console version.
CONSOLE IS CARE BEAR
There I said it.
Let's give them these cute items for buying it that literally do ZERO by end game.
I imagine myself sitting on my couch playing and someone rolls up and goes, yo homie lets play dis shiz.
So I go ya sweet lets do it!
LOW AND BEHOLD. Homie who rolls up is an item horder and doesn't do any prep work with his character. I sit there punching myself in the groin for hours until they are ready.
OH NOES ANOTHER HOMIE ROLLS UP. Continue groin punchings.
All the while you have to sit and wait because you can't move forward. No AH? Back to good old D2 days where you couldn't find an upgrade to save your life.
People, overall I have like 900 hours playing this game, I've found a few good rings and ammies. Maybe 2 good weapons that I didn't need and sold.
Everything else in this game came from AH. I never bought a dime. How do you plan to progress at a decent rate when even having access to AH limits player potential to extreme levels.
Screw console and grow a pair in the real game. PC
I'm missing your point. Why are random "homies" walking into your house? Why groin punching? I think Care Bears have a worthy educational purpose about sharing, which sort of undermines your story about item hording.
I think the console version is fine....an alright game gets to greet a new audience.
The lack of an AH is fine....I'm cool with it or with out it.
lmao about the care bear part, pwned =D -

How about coming up with an actual rebuttal to my point next time?
Before Diablo 3 was released the developers actually had a focus on customization that can be
seen with the past trait system but somewhere along the line everything was removed.
Now a year later after release have they just started to put together plans on how to provide character
customization.
Blizzard is notorious in only providing content when they feel it's ready so for us to read that they
are in the 'brainstorming' phase only means that it will take months before we see any progress.
This is an action role-playing game and you don't see a problem with how they approached one of the main
aspects of a genre that should have been in the game since day one?
Not that you don't have a few points, but I think his issue is more that the cynicism of the 'fans' of this game is overwhelmingly annoying on a daily basis. I may be biased as an optimist, but seriously the amount of complaining any time they announce something they may be working on to improve the game is beyond me. Complaining is one thing, but bitching about every little thing they do is what it's come down to and is getting extremely old. Especially considering the type of player customization they're talking about, which isn't simple gear or skill customization but character customization, something action RPGs aren't actually known for.
I'm not saying we should praise Blizzard by any means, but at least have some respect for the fact that they're at least trying. 99% of games out there wouldn't have half the development work that this game has had and continues to have after it's release. The fact that they're obviously trying to fix things in the game that players have issues with should be enough considering they technically don't have to do anything with the game once it's released, just like the majority of development on games out there. -

It's sad that the console version has these improvements over the original:
1. Improved drop rates.
2. No AH
3. Offline play
These are what make a Diablo game, yet the console it was created on still lacks these features. The devs should consider adding these changes to the PC game, it would be a nice bandaid until the itemization patch hits.
The "improvements" you bring up are honesty not all that much to write home about. If I were to give one example of an improvement over the PC side, that would be the character specific drop rate. Items dropped will be geared to your character. Now that is an improvement if you ask me. I am not a PC zeolot and could care less about where I play my Diablo 3. I will buy the game for the console and continue to play the PC version. Heck, can anybody argue against being able to play MORE diablo 3? lol -

Bleu42 posted a message on DH - why so much QQ?Being as my first and 'main' class is a DH, I felt I should chime in.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
It's exactly as you state; So-so. The buffed rapid fire is awesome, but that and spike trap are the only 'good' spenders. Every other spender is under mediocre. Take impale. The premise of having a super high single target dps skill that costs a lot is cool. Instead we get a single target skill that costs 1/5th our resource and barely does more than 2 hungering arrows.
Chakram's a cool idea, but 3/5 runes are next to worthless. The ability stops as soon as you hit a wall, which makes it not worth using most of the game.
Fan of Knives for some odd reason has a 10 second CD, causing me to never use this skill after testing it out. It's a good AOE at 320% and causes a slow, but I'd rather it have no CD and just do damage. 10 seconds is forever.
Strafe. I have no idea why it was designed to spread out the damage the more mobs there are. Maybe it was to make it less like the Barbarian's WW, I'm not sure. All I know is you get more than a couple mobs, and the damage is extremely low. I'd have more fun if it just did it's damage as a constant AOE of arrows no matter the amount of enemies.
Multishot. Huge cost for the damage. A quarter of our hatred for only 165%? Bola shot is a better AOE by far, and it's free.
Cluster Arrow. Another skill designed to be a giant spender / damage dealer. Instead, it costs almost half of our resource, and does less damage than impale, albeit with a tiny AOE. Those grenades that explode after impact? Awesome idea, that would really ramp up the damage! Unfortunately those awesome grenades bounce JUST out of reach of the main target, every time. Because of how spread out they are, champ packs will only get hit by one, if any.
Anyway, I made a whole thread awhile back on what I would change / add to the Demon Hunter class. Pretty much it boils down to the DH has great ideas, but it's spenders are weak, and it's lacking any real self buffs, defensive and offensive. It's a really fun class but it also feels like it needs some work. -

Mahoraba posted a message on Those people with massive amounts of Unid Legendaries.Obv aliens.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I never stated that I've never found repeat legendaries in my 700 hours but I can recall most of the highlights of my drops cause that moment of "Holy shit, that just dropped" is memorable.
1x Mempo
2x Nats ring
2x Innas Pants
3x Innas helm
5x Echos
1x Nats boots
2x IK Gloves
1x IK Chest
I could keep listing but I'm sure I'd miss something anyway, I should say that I still find 3 legendaries an hour but Its almost always The Tormenter, Frostburn Gauntlets, Gladiators Gauntlets, Tzo Krin's Gaze, Mad Stone, Two handed mace, two handed sword, Sunkeeper, Inna's Favor, Fire Walkers and all of the other shitty things that I can't think of off the top of my head. Its incredible how many of the legendaries that actually can't be good, that I find.
Now I'm just whining, I'm sorry. I created this thread mostly cause I feel as if I'm doing something wrong, I play on MP10 and I'm P100, most people are like, It rainnnnssss legendaries! Sure, the ones that can't be good. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
