Yeah DryIce you really didn't get the OP from the start. Nobody wants a monthly fee, and even though this has been answered already, the question was to how far can Blizzard make awesome game content while keeping battlenet free :)
p.s. I'm not posting in this thread anymore with people who can't read and understand bai bai

Hasn't there already been like a million of these threads?

edit: your comparing d3 to MMORPG's. d3 IS NOT AN MMORPG

the only thing mmorpg is relivant to is the number of people playing on a server at any given time. Thats not even close to what im talking about.

You guys didn't understand my post. I'm not asking for a monthly fee. A monthly fee sux no matter what game I'm playing. I'm simply wondering how far Blizzard is able/willing to take the game content quests/world maps/end game stuff ... while keeping thing like battlenet free to play. Where do they draw the line and say "ok guys, we've done so much now you're going to pay a montly fee to pay for our time".

We all know that in games such as Everquest and WoW, the game content is rich, very extensive, and pretty much never ending. All that comes with a $15 a month service fee. I know the servers have to be paid for, but with all the people in the world that play these two game giants, I'm sure those servers are paid for and then some at $15 a head. I mean thousands apon thousands pay to play. So the rest of the money just goes to the other expenses like enriching the game content right?
Well I guess my question to Blizzard is... how far is Blizzard able/willing to take Diablo3 game content for us Diablofans while keeping the game free. Are we able to see game content as lengthy as wow and eq off strait up software sales?

sorry Siaynoq I'll try and not use such an abstract title next time. To be honest though I was just being me, I'm kinda like that IRL lol.
It was just an idea about the dragon thingy. I figured usually there is a problem with the fate of the world and since Trang holds the world on his back, I bet someone like Diablo in the story somewhere could summon him to a realistic fighting size and use him in harmful ways kinda like Cerberus or maybe just an overall threat to man kind.
    ...
second thought If Trang died would it be like destroying the world stone?

and p.s. let's not forget Trang'oul is a real Dragon in the Diablo lore, we are not making this up. They even made really sweet set armor after him link here

Well I think they said that you have to level the caravan up and as they do they make better stuff. I suppose if you never bother with them they will have crap every time you come into town.

there is something I found ... what do you guys think...

Trag'Oul is a supernatural creature whom the Necromancers believe is massive dragon who supports the world on his back. He is described as "the closest thing the Cult of Rathma has to a god". However, it is not clear whether the term "god" is appropriate to describe him.

You can read the whole info here

    http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Trag'Oul

Again I know we see alot about dragons in other games .. but honestly .. dragons pwn and Id love to see some serious dark evil dragon in D3
