i love how this 'point a to b' was essentially in d2 act 1 as well. did you forget that theres a road that you just follow and if you follow it you basically get to the next area you need to be in? You need to leave it twice: once for tristram in stony field, once in dark wood to get the scroll. How is this NOT a linear a->b. the cathedral in d3 comes earlier (randomized zone re: underground passage) and the equivalent of jail/monastery/catacombs is in d3 (thats all i will say spoilers abound) at the end.
As well, videos of d3 in act 2 and beyond so far dont show the same linear path act 1 as in d2. Why is this a 'problem' in d3 but is acceptable in d2. talk about double standards.

Hes got a point, everytime someone has a negative opinion on D3 or what they arn't pleased with you rush in there with your "I Heart Jay Wilson and Crew" t-shirt on and bash them ha.
Unless....you really are Jay Wilson. So Jay, hows that resume looking now that you have a real game on it?
No, the point is that people are sick of reading the same crap that isn't going to change. Just because I'm not whining for the heads of all the designers because of miniscule things doesn't make me a fanboy. It just means I'm manning up and accepting what the game is going to be, and tired of the trolls rehashing the same crap.
Everyone is going to have their own opinions about the game, both positive and negative. Disagreeing with what they are doing doesn't make you right, and doesn't make you the majority.
I was writing a huge long speech, but fuck it. This ^^^^^ -

Boubouille posted a message on Systems Questions, Demon Hunter Spotlight, Inferno PollWhat Game Systems do you Want Blizzard to explain in the Official Game GuidePosted in: News & Announcements
Blizzard is starting to beef up their game guide and want it to make it amazing for the players. They want to know what basic and complex game systems people would like explained on the Official Game Guide (similar to the Arreat Summit).
It can be anything from ‘How does dual-wielding work?’ to ‘Monster affix rules and distribution’. Let us know in THIS news thread and we will keep track!
Demon Hunter - Class Spotlight
It looks like IGN got a class preview video of the Demon Hunter. The video gives a little bit of background while also showing off some of the skills the Demon Hunter has as well as some new terrain. Doomscream also points out this is similar to what we saw with Starcraft 2. So we should expect to see more of these at some point.
It's also worth pointing out we may be seeing a few seconds of animation that may be part of the intro movie for the Demon Hunter, however we already know some of the narration that will go with the true intro and its safe to say there is still a lot of the intro we do not see here.

Come for the games, stay for the witty banter! ... Or beta keys. You probably care more about beta keys.
How Long Will it Take you to Beat Inferno
Ayr made a fun poll asking how long you think it will take yourself to beat Inferno. Obviously there is no way we can accurately judge this on the little info we have. But it will still be fun to take a look back on this poll in a few months and see how long it really took people to get through Inferno. If you missed the big news, Inferno no longer has a single difficultly level throughout the difficultly.
Tyrael Vs the Creeper - Curse Gaming Bracket
It all comes down to the last fight. The angel of Justice; The destroyer of the World Stone, and a green monster that blows up in a 3 block radius... Its time Diablo fans. Make sure Tryael does not lose!

Azjenco posted a message on Development Article Soon, What's NOT Delaying the Game, Zarhym on "The Big Meeting"Posted in: News & AnnouncementsQuote from Britward
More sense of entitlement and self righteousness from people who think they are owed something more than what Blizzard's delivering? Other than the fact that this is NOT EVEN REMOTELY DIFFERENT from any other Blizzard release in terms of information, they owe us nothing. Now, once the game is released, if it's buggy as all heck and has technical problems, that's a different story. But they are developing a game. So, it really doesn't make sense to be making any demands. Even with those of us who did the WoW year thing, there isn't much room for demands.
I know, right? People come to these forums everyday, making demands from Blizzard for the game to be released, ASAP. They act like they are shareholders with a say in the company. Best things is, if Blizzard rushes the game, buggy as hell, these people would jump on these forums and berate them for releasing a half-assed product.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
But what I love most is the people who come here, day in and day out, proclaiming how they lost interest in the game, how it's grown beneath them, and how much they loath Blizzard. They are the same people who will be at the stores first come release day to pick up their pre-ordered Collector's Edition.
They kinda remind me of babies who bawl their eyes out if they don't get a toy, right now. They make a huge racket without end, and when they're finally given the toy, the crying ends immediately. Replaced by smiles and sunshine as if nothing ever happened. Sad, but true, and it always makes me smile. -

No i dont know what is planned Molster, nor do i care for it, i base my thoughts and opinions like the one above, on what is ALREADY done, the evidance is al over the place, it is a simpel fact, Allot has changed since Sixen left, and i for one PERSONALLY do not like those changes one bit.
Not liking the changes or liking them is a personal thing for every one of us, with that said, i would like to add that, therefor we al have the right to say so.
However: The fact that allot has changed since Sixen left is undeniable, and everyone who go's against that saying its not true, is in a hard denial phase.
Oh good grief. If you don't like it, leave. This thread is about the new forum design so please stop with the OT posts. -

OmniNom posted a message on Development and DelaysEveryone and their dog keeps making posts about Blizzard delaying release of Diablo for financial reasons. I'm going to ignore all the reasons that this idea is ridiculous.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
AFTER listing them.
1.)Delaying past Christmas misses the biggest sales period of the year, which will surely lose them hundreds of thousands of sales
2.)Continuing production means paying all the developers working on it for that much longer, further decreasing the net profit
3.)The beta still has plenty of bugs, battlenet features are unfinished, and the runes system is still being fooled around with, so clearly it's not ready for release
4.)Delaying release makes stockholders nervous, and since information given to them is public, we know what they know, and they have been notified of no sinister delay conspiracy. So Blizzard would be devaluing its own stock.
5.)It's fucking Blizzard. Since when are long development cycles unusual?
But we're ignoring this, because the most ridiculous part isn't all the very obvious reasons why the idea is insane. The most ridiculous part is the fact that some people think that their own personal convenience means more than the budgets and development cycles and physical health of the development team.
People working on Diablo 3 have been in crunch time (60+ hour weeks) for something like eight months. The company has sank millions of dollars into the project. The development team has spent 5+ years of their lives putting their blood, sweat, and tears into the game.
But your own impatience overrules all objections. The game should be released NOW, because you're tired of waiting. It's not like there are any other things in your entire life you could be doing.
If that doesn't sound not only absurd, but incredibly callous, then you have some life issues to work out. -

Hello there!
Some of you might remember me from a couple of years ago when I was very active prior to the release of D3 on this forum. With the announcement of D4 and the approaching release of D2R, I've decided to dip my toes into streaming and eventually into more complex Diablo content creation. Right now, I'm taking it slowly, trying to lay down some ground work how to do stuff and work around my full-time job schedule. I hope I catch some of the familiar faces here joining the stream for a chat, it can get very lonely for a new twitch streamer at times

First of all, I didn't think I would ever be doing threads like these anymore, but I just couldn't help myself. The announcement revived all habits in me.
I will if I could to a small sum up of the interviews.
