    This might be implemented as stats in the items. Big shields in D2 reduced movement speed, for example.

    arent those kind of the same? what difference does it make if you get a greater range ,or suck enemies in, and if there is a difference, why not just choose suck them in? :P

    the only difference I can see is, sucking them in might be better because it probably has a greater suck range then simply increasing your range.

    but me thinks one should do something different. maybe deal more damage, but lower defense while attacking.

    yup, too many passive skills, a lot of these things could at least be turned into war cry's or something, why not add passive attack skill, passive run around and loot things, passive sell items and everything else while were at it.
    we dont need the game to play itself for us, comon now.

    maybe this is true for some of the other character trees as well? I dont know, id have to look again.

    wasd wouldnt work anyway, you still have to pause to attack, unless your whirl winding or something, it would be kind of lame if you could just pack peddle out of the enemies range and attack with pole arm, slow buggers wouldnt stand a chance.

    that being said even if there is only dueling, there is still hardcore, and i assume when your dead your dead, so budda bing theres a reward to the victor

    roflmfao ok, but comon, mauls knocking things down more often, and shields taking your attack speed down a notch are perfectly logical, and not really physics dependent.

    How much about the combat mechanics do we know?

    Do bigger weapons such as mauls have a higher chance to knock down enemies?
    do bigger shields restrict movement/ attack speed?

    can you run enemies off a cliff?, or impale them on to spikey things on the level?

    are there going to be chain type weapons to disarm, or choke enemies?

    so far the biggest one ive heard of is you can use the surrounding terrain to fight enemies, ei throw chairs and what not?

    I am also a bit concerned about the Witch Doctors abilities, I really really hope he isnt going to be the token suck character, sure summoning frogs is a bit silly, but if in the end it pwns, then so be it, it will be like unleashing the 10 plagues or whatever, frogs, then locusts, its a biblical thing? hah, I dont know, now im just rambling.

    to answer your question, no I cant really see a WD going into hell, and slaying the lord of terror himself, but I can see a monk doing it.

    Yes, I am worried about Diablo 3, if they actually manage to successfully make a balanced game, with balanced characters, and skills, it will be great, and will also be the first in the Diablo series to do so, but I guess there is a first for everything.

    About the graphics, yeah I guess it could use a little more texture? but what can you do.
    one thing they can do is maybe add some sort of filter? something like this sholdnt be too hard, for all you people who want it darker/less colorful it should be easy to implement a filter to do that, or you could simply turn down the color, and up the contrast on your monitor :D :P

    also keep in mind they could do a lot to the graphics before it comes out, so dont give up hope yet. For example ive seen 3 different Whirl Wind animations from watching videos, they update things a lot.
