Aug 22, 2008Murderface posted a message on G4TV's Adam Sessler Attacks Diablo 3's Art HatersToo bad complaining about the art style did no good at all. If the dev team thought you guys had anything substantial with your "art design suggestions" they would have listened, but they didn't. Their reasoning for colors was completley founded in yet nobody would stay a while and listen. They made it colorful for GAMEPLAY purposes. Most of the art criticizms, were from opinionated douches that had no logical arguments and wanted nothing more than to rip on it. The art design in D3 kicks ass and I dont know how anyone could justify ripping on it unless they had some sort of chip on their shoulder. I have yet to hear a solid argument against the art design and I doubt that I ever will. It's just that damn good.Posted in: News

Diablo 2 had perhaps the worst PVP system of all time. Oooh, I got your ear, and another... and another... People can just run back to saftey at any time, potters, glitchers, assholes that wont let two lower level players fight. It was seriously flawed.Quote from "lakroz" »Uh because its just fun and simple? sorry for all the people who want a "Reward" for pvping instead of just being fun, you shouldn't have to obtain a prize for PvPing for it to be entertaining, if you do then you shouldn't even be PVPing.
again another WoWer.....
Why is it the PvP it self cant be just fun, there has to be a fucking reward in order for your to to be motivated to do it?
Im not saying you cant be competitive, im just saying they need to leave "rewards" to the monsters.
PvP motivated me to kill monsters in order for me to get better gear, thus improve how well i done in duels, i know some of the gear was insanely powerful, but most were items that shouldnt even be in game, aka. hacked/duped items (hex charms / white rings/ CCBQ, etc...)
Then again, you likely never played diablo 2, or didnt like too much, and likely flocked over to WoW and are now looking for something new, so i guess these are just pointless words considering they are going through one ear and out the other.
Arenas would fix all of this. And for your information, I have never played WoW. Ask anyone is SICK. -

So, run out of town/die is more fun than an actual arena competition with a prize? How did you manage to rationalize that one? If you dont need the reward, give it away:rolleyes:Quote from "lakroz" »Yeah... if there's a sub fee theres no way i'm playing this, and if the pvp turns out to be a zerg-fest battlegrounds (if they do this i will murder the dev team)/arena/<insert stupid boring, and uninteresting pvp mode here>
remember blizzard THE MAIN FUCKING REASONS SO MANY PEOPLE PLAYED DIABLO 2 AND WHY PEOPLE CONTINUE PLAYING IS THE DUELING, IT IS SIMPLE AND FUN, if they forget this its game over for diablo 3.
REMEMBER SIMPLE AND FUN PVP = GOOD
OVERLY COMPLEX / ZERG-FESTS / MASS PVP = BAD
I DON'T FUCKING WANT A REWARD FOR KILLING SOMEONE, WHY CANT I JUST HAVE FUN KILLING SAID PERSON? I DON'T NEED A FUCKING PRIZE.
Though i would note that since there is only allowed 8 people per server that kind of nullifies the whole zerg thing, but with blizzard you never know what they might change.

Aug 21, 2008Murderface posted a message on Diablofans - WWI Card Tyrael Pet ContestA true Diablo fan would want to fix broken mechanics instead of reusing them. I dont think the key to fixing the gold problem lies in any one solution. Rather in a multitude of solutions. In real life we dont just spend our money on one thing, so in Diablo we should have a variety of things to spend our hard-earned monies on.Posted in: News
Monthly/weekly payment stash expansion. Universal stash. (throw out the auction idea, your items just go into storage until you can afford the stash extension again).
1 page of stash stash = free
2 pages = 3000 gold
3 pages = 6000 gold
4 pages = 12000 gold
Arenas contests, you would only be able to enter contests that are in your level bracket (level brackets are in intervals of 10) the item prize would have a level requirement within your bracket. The entry fee would also be determined by your level bracket.
Upgradable mercenary skills, your merc would have a skill tree and you would pay for his training.
Enchantments/sockets for sale, enchantments would have a cap. The price would scale with the items level, normal, exceptional, elite.
Uber expensive potions, that provide a wide range of buffs.
Gold should drop in random amounts throughout a difficulty to prevent gold farming. (no gold find% enchantments)
Be able to use gold as a distraction, you drop some gold when in a sticky situation and the monsters go running after it. The fact that they drop gold means it must have some value to them. Maybe they just like shiny things. The more gold you drop the more likely monsters will run after it. -

I hardly ever used potions in D2 (life/mana leech), whenever things got hot I just tped the hell outta there. I think rejuvs really fucked up the game.Quote from "Kwic" »I can't imagine fight without potions, but will see. But it wasn't so easy even you had the potions. Sometimes monster was so strong that it had you for 2 shots, and you were dead. I liked potions -
Aug 14, 2008Murderface posted a message on Diablo 3 Art Director ResignsI signed the petition, but I added a note saying "I just want light radius back." I was actually like the 7th or 8th person to sign. But then they explained why light radius wasn't returning, and I totally understand why they wouldn't want to cover up a majority of the screen with pitch black nothingness.Posted in: News

How many of those will actually refuse to buy the game is the number you are looking for.Quote from "VegasRage" »synthaza I think were talking about a bare minimum of 53,000 that signed the petition, that would be a good niche market. Hey if Blizzard wants to direct all 53,000 towards my company because they don't need it anymore I'll be most happy to service that business.
Would any of you snub 53,000 sales a year? I wouldn't. Let's see 53,000 x $25.00 (guestimating wholesale price) is a paltry $1,325,000. Yeah who needs that chump change. -

Well duh, that's the point! You are supposed to convince us that the game needs to be changed and we are supposed to try and shoot you down, that's how this forum works, you see?Quote from "VegasRage" »Creepsville I'm not complaining about people who are happy with the game, I'm glad you like it. I do however see a number of the happy with D3 people who don’t seem like they can deal with those who are not. I just happened to be looking forward to one game for several years and was disappointed with what I seen so far and pointing out what I don’t like. In the end it's just a game and this board is just a way for me to pull my head out of code for a few minutes each day and wind down when I’m done. -
Aug 13, 2008Murderface posted a message on Diablo 3 Art Director ResignsIts still cracks me up, that the ones that are complaining call themselves true fans when we all know that they are really just a loud mouthed minority of the fan base that likes to look for reasons to complain instead of reasons to compliment on what a great game they are making for us. The textures are flawless, The gameplay looks very solid, the animations are intuative, the lighting effects will diversify the game and add replayability, no more pressing alt to see the drops, gold picks up automaticaly, there is even more blood and guts than in the previous installments, the armor design is functional and ergonomicaly designed, and best of all, ORAL DECAPITATION!!!Posted in: News

I'm not saying anything addicting should be outlawed, in fact I believe that most thing that are illegal should be legal. Like prostitutes, automatic weapons, and all illicit drugs.

Wendys is ok. The one in my town has a shitty burger assembler. It's like he uses the burgers like miniature punching bags.
