Would said class be a coyote? Perhaps a roadrunner?
    Thought someone would say that:rolleyes:

Ugh... just reminds me how slow arrows go in the diablo series. Always been a pet peeve of mine. Arrows should fly fast. Then it would be alright to slow them down with a skill. But if they keep the same speed, plus you slow them more, you might as well have slow missile triggered...

Imo, arrows should fly faster than the D2 arrows, but not as fast as the TL arrows. Right in between would be great.
I agree, arrows should travel at the speed of arrows.:cute:

I think a ranged class with a tree to improve arrows, one tree for traps and possibly a tree for a single pet
I think there is room for more than one pet. Maybe several pets that use each others strengths to gain an advantage. Maybe shaman and underling pets. Your shaman would revive the underlings and your underlings would protect the shaman. I'm sure one of you could come up with a more intuitive pet mechanic, my brain is fried.

I had an idea for a metal user type.

Metal Arrows: Metal arrows that knock the enemy backwards (range and speed reduced).

Molten Metal Arrows: An arrow that melts after it leaves the bow, causes fire and phisical damage with a splash radius (range and speed reduced).

Charged Spikes: Fires an arrow with a mace like arrowhead, explodes on impact sending electricaly arced spikes flying in all directions (range and speed is severely reduced)

Hot Blob: Summons an animate blob of molten metal, which has two modes of attack. Firing smaller blobs of metal, and ramming them.

Anvil: A large hunk of metal falls from the sky.

Electro-Shock Sentries: Summons flying metaloid creatures that surround the enemy and arc electricity between each other (if you have 5 they would form a pentagram of arcing electricity)

The mana system would work normally except that you could boost your mana by sacrificing an item (melting it) the enchantments on the item would affect the attacks that are fueled by its boost.

As long as the steam punk is kept at a minimal. Make the skills look as down to earth as possible. You know what I mean?

Another game that scared me was Shadow of the Colossus. Not in a horror movie way but in a 'fighting something 20X your size with little more than a sword' way. I remember the bird colossus the most, the way the ground trembles when he swoops by is a shit your pants moment if I ever saw one. You have to catch his wing and then hold on for dear life while navigating his hind quarters.

Ehh, a pack or so a day. I quit a while back, when I was up to 2 packs of camel wides a day. The only reason I started again was boredom. "What can you do when there's nothing to do?" "I know! Smoke yourself into a coma." Real smart.

Ravenholm gets all the love, I prefer the zombine area of episode 2 you know, under the tipsy bridge. Zombies with grenades :o Oh, and the antlion hive. That battle with the boss antlion scared my pants off.

The challenge is to successfully sneak up on her, not an easy task since she can be pretty much anywhere.
Meh! I still like my method better :P

You can sneak up on a witch and 1 shot her....

Throw a molotov on the tank and keep running... Dont look back :P
Orly? I just got the game a couple weeks ago. I started on Expert as I do with all games and I have to say it isnt as hard as cod4 or halo3 on expert. I always try to get around the witch but my goddamn teamates make it almost impossible to do. I think it's kinda lame that you can 1 shot a witch :(, takes all the challenge out of it.

Here's my recipe for killing a witch in expert.

    1 propane tank
    1 pipe bomb
    4 m4 clips
    1 backwards sprint

    Quote from "Entropy" »
Tanks are easy, just throw a molotov at the tank and then kite him.
The witch is also pretty easy if you spot it before it spots you, just shoot it in the head with a shotgun and then run like hell while your teammates take her down.

Tanks are only as strong as their surroundings allow them to be.

Left4Dead isn't really scary, it's adrenaline packed and all that.
What causes the adrenaline other than fear? By all means it should be the scariest game ever, with the horror movie ambient cues, realistic npc behavior, and massive amounts of gore. Why isn't it? Is it because the zombie scenario has been played out thousands of times over, or is it because the characters are so animated?

You're totally right. The first time I heard a Witch... well, I was torn between being scared and feeling sorry for her. I don't think she's as bad as she used to be, since the game's been out awhile and nearly everyone knows how to crown her.

Tanks by themselves aren't too bad though, as long as he's not on fire and everyone shoots at him. While there may be crossfire, unless your team is really hurting or there's a horde around, he's generally not too hard to deal with. I'll always be more wary of a Witch than a Tank.
The specials by themselves arent too hard to deal with, but when they get together and team up on your ass it's over. Yesterday I got barfed on, toungwrapped, and pounced on while being chased by a tank (I could hear a witch too).

Nobody thought L4D was scary? There is nothing scarier than hearing a witch or a tank in expert imo. The game does have some funny parts that lighten the mood, it's not all serious like the Silent Hill games.

I shot two, count em', two scouts through the head with one bullet. I've also been known to disguise myself as a fellow heavy with a dead ringer and wait for another spy to stab me, then return the favor after my cloak wears off. :D

Just a question, what is the connection between noobs and Bishibosh?
Because Bishibosh relies on his teammates to protect him and once you kill him he explodes like a bitch. Plus it sounds funny.^_^

I would like to see some sort of metal spell user/archer. An example: metal spells could deal pysical, fire, or lightning dmg. Spells using metal in it's solid form would either do physical damage and/or lightning, while spells using metal in a liquid form would deal physical and/or fire damage, and I'm sure there could be a spell that deals all three. An archer class could be incorperated fairly easily. Molten Metal Arrows has a nice ring to it. The molten metal could splatter on impact causing splash damage to surrounding enemies.
