I was wondering how would the witch doctor summon the fetish army?
Will it be a Channeling skill? Where you wont be able to do anything else while summoning? Are all the fetishes the same?
I personally will like it to be
1) summon a chief/shaman fetish and the chief/shaman will summon the fetish minions.
2) During the duration when a fetish is slain, the chief/shaman may revive it. (like old D2)
3) include different types of fetish in the army.(ranged/magic/meelee)
They have the rune system which modify how the skill actually works. They even mentioned something about monster dropping skills. With all the traits + runes it could actually make the summons strong enough to withstand even hell difficulty.
In that case it would have to be a shadow thingy that spawns shadow minions, because traps doesn't equal factories, since a factory equals robots.
Yea maybe something like that. What i meant was not really a factory, maybe something like a tavern/huge breeding egg/pit hole or something that spawns maybe small/obedient monsters which uses the DH's arsenal of weapon such as grenades/bowgun/traps. The spike trap look kind of 'high tech' to me hehe. I understand Mechanic stuffs are too 'modern' even guns.

Yea having a shadow partner is totally cool. But i would like something familiar to "pocket factory" from tinker in warcraft 3.
Since DH have skills like grenades/traps where she throw out. The "pocket factory" seems to be in the same tree whereby she can throw it out and constantly spawn minions from the "pocket factory" to help distract the enemies.
If techonology was to improve then, it would change things a lot. Imagine wow having starcraft terran protoss style of technology, it would dilute the gamestyle.
I wouldnt dare to say starcraft kind of technology because that is too advance that even current age cannot have.. But in WoW there are engineers? They can create rather advance stuffs like tinker in warcraft.. don't understand why they cant fit into diablo universe
How do you expect a hero to come from pirates? like hell they give a shit about diablo.. If diablo can give them fortune i am sure they rather be minions of diablo
Since everyone is guessing/wanting a ranged class.. i was thinking of a smart cunning malicious inventor/mechanic? someone who uses advance technology, like a tinker in warcraft 3 and their main weapon will be bow/guns/bowgun?
and maybe they can summon a tanking steam powered robot and have a pocket factory? i think that will be cool..
