If you want a darker game why not just turn down the contrast on your monitor or the in-game settings? Boom, problem solved.
Just shut up. Man, I've heard that one too many times now.
No, if you want a visually darker game that's all there is to it. You know what I've heard too many times now? "WAHHH WHERE'S MY GRIMDARK I MISS MY BROWNS AND GRAYS"
The game looks fine. The colors are fine. Play it the way it is, alter the settings to your liking, or gtfo. We haven't even seen a significant enough portion to judge the entirety of the game at this point.
Yeah, Bashiok said himself that they're just exploring their options. I'll be playing it on PC regardless. I wonder if they'll pull a cross-platform plan similar to FFXI and FFXIV. That would probably mean porting all of Battle.net to consoles as well, similar to needing to install PlayOnline Viewer to run FFXI on a console.
4 players sounds good to me. I kind of prefer the chaos more, and I think 6 would feel a little better but I can live with 4. I hope it makes the game more difficult.
I would take Call of Duty: Moder warfare 2 into consideration, it truley is a great game. The MMORPG you are looking for might be Aion, it sure demands a good comp but i have no doubt you can buy such for those 1200$, if you place your cards right that'l say
And as somebody mentioned, you have to include D3
And Sc2!
I'm prestige 4 on MW2 for the 360, I've got no reason to get it for PC.
I've thought about Aion, but I'll have to convince some friends to play with me. Of course I'm getting D3 lol and I'm on the fence with SC2.
I recently got a new job, and I'm looking to build a PC around May-ish. What PC games do you recommend? Right now I'm picking up Unreal 2k4, Quake 3 Arena, Quake 4, Team Fortress 2, Portal, Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising, and Battlefield BC:2. I'm particularly looking for multiplayer games. And perhaps an MMO that isn't WoW.
yea team battles would be tyte or a system for barters so you could bet a item/gold against someone that you will win and whoever wins gets whatever prize
I've always liked the idea of wagers too. You both put an item up and duel. but there are many flaws to it. What if someone disconnects during the duel?
the one thing i would support from wow is the battleground system, that would be pretty sweet if implemented into D3!
I'd like to see something more along the lines of the Arena from WoW, but with Battleground settings (not just deathmatch). Capture the flag, territory control, etc. Relatively small maps with no more than 4v4.
I like the whole idea !! I think it's obvious to see that in-game, just because it's ergonomic.
But for the score, I like it but if good score bring some rewards, I think like italofoca, players will abuse of it. Like making a "false" character to constantly die to boost friend's scores !!
I think that the "matchmaking" system would be something like WoW where you can't choose who you get matched against, but you get matched against a team of a similar "rating".
Except that in D3 you have to pay for stuff like repair and whatever (I dont exactly know what).
It's not like there are any gold sinks on jsp.
If you will play through D3 (assuming it will be similar to D2), you WILL find something to equal value to a very good item that your own class needs. And even if you don't, you will find lot's of mediocre items that you can trade for gold, which eventually saves up to good gear.
(Ps. sorry if I'm not making a lot of sense.. It's 7:30 in the morning and i just got back from downtown partying) =p
Just think about this: Even if it wouldn't usually work, Blizzard will MAKE it work.
When players were first playing Diablo 1, do you think they would ever imagine the next game to be what Diablo 2 is like?
Pretty much agreed. If you can't think of any possible way to fix something, Blizzard has already thought of it, implemented it, and tested it. It's why I respect them so much.

I'm not surprised to see SC2 up there though. But the fact that D3 is on the front page of the PC section is strange.

~$1200, but that's including the monitor, speakers, keyboard, etc. etc.
I'll post the build once I get closer to ordering the parts.

For me, Sigons Complete Steel. I remember the first time I got a couple of pieces of it for my barb and thought "oh my god I'm a badass".
This is a rhetorical question. I'm not implying or expecting any of the current sets to come back in Diablo 3.
