posted a message on The reason we're mad.
The reason we are mad about Diablo 3.

Is the wait that we waited.

And the lack of what needed to be changed from it's predecessor.

I'm not sure if there are any hacks in this game yet. But I've heard that people are botting. And The channels are chalked full of Spam.

The AH, I'll admit. I wanted. Now that I see it, and I even thought of this before hand. Is really cluttered. The AH, is always ALWAYS going to have the exact item you are looking for. And now that you are competing with every person in the game who's trading that item. The prices will never be anything but SUPER LOW.

I can see the prices being very high on a very specific rare item. But whatever. There's nothing before that.

Before you reached maximum level in Diablo 2. There were sets, uniques, rares, runes, rune words. Whatever. A whole variety of things to equip until you got your upgrade. Now you see that upgrade in the AH, and it doesn't have the same feel. And I can guarantee you. If you look hard enough. You'll find it at a very reasonable price.

There's nothing really. I wanted my end game character to be nothing but high end rares that were very valueable. But I didn't want it to be somewhat of a guessing game all the way to the top. All the way up there bland random generated items. For a bland grey disgusting game.

    The story is horrible. Honestly.

The bosses are horrible. And they've actually made them unfarmable. Which meh, they implemented that wrong. Cause their game has nothing going for it. Like I wanna experience that gameplay over and over again.

They made a Gold Auction house. Which I'll bet you all you're gold. Will be entirely obsolete in the next few months here. Because gold is crap, almost already. And the inflation of items is going to have a huge impact on this. There's nothing to this game. Nothing. You're gonna find everything. It's really a kid's version of the old Diablo's.

Which was proably intended to steer people towards real money.I hope for the latter though. I'll keep checking in to see if people resorted to actual item trading. Somehow. In this very random game. Trade games are no more. Like D1 or D2...

Which even Diablo 1 had a fairly exciting Skill selection. And I crave to play that game to this day. The skills in this game are horrible. And WE ASKED, I THINK the biggest thing we asked for.. Is that we have a TON OF VIABLE BUILDS. Which Diablo 2 was somewhat lacking. But it turns out. Diablo 2 just turned out better in that regard too. Along with D1 however long ago that was made.

I can't believe they tok out their original idea of lootable Skill Runes... That would have worked. Minus the AH.

And again, I've seen people saying there are hidden stats in the game. And that was something I really hated about Diablo 2. i haven't played D3 in a while here. But wow. Get those out if this is true.

There was nothing worse than making a character in Diablo 2. Where it said you did X and X and X but for some reason. They just weren't doing it.

Except in PvP, Diablo 2 was fairly balanced PvP wise. Which Diablo 3 has none.

Because it was unfinished when they released it. After 3 years. Of constant updates. And hype. They released an unfinished game.

This is so common now a days. I'm just going to guess this is a marketing strategy for big name games. Less work. The same pay out. It makes sense. It get's talked about. There's no such thing as bad publicity right?

Just terrible. $%^&ed upp BIG TIME.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Release Date Poll
I'm very happy with the way Diablo III is turning out. Blizzard seems to be on the same level with my opinions about how Diablo III should be. As more and more time passes more and more information is given about the game. I think we have finally received all the data we need to make the most accurate guess we can make. So let's look at the release dates of Blizzard's most recent and most popular titles:

    -------

    Diablo --- January 2, 1997
    Diablo II --- June 29, 2000
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction --- June 29, 2001

    Starcraft --- March 31, 1998
    Starcraft: Broodwar --- November 30, 1998
Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty --- June 27, 2010
Starcraft II: Heart of the Storm --- TBA
Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void --- TBA

    Warcraft: Orcs & Humans --- November 1994
Warcraft II: Tides of Darnkess --- December 9, 1995
Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal --- April 30, 1996

    World of Warcraft --- Novemeber 23, 2004
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade --- January 16, 2007
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King --- November 13, 2008
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm --- December 7, 2010

    Diablo III --- TBA, Soon(tm)

    -------

It's easy to see that Blizzard tends to release their games between /November - January/ and /June - July/ (with a couple exceptions).
With Diablo III looking like it is very near to completion; Items, Classes, Quests, Dungeons, Skills, etc. have all been discussed time and time again. We can now see that they are on the final stretch with the information they CHOOSE TO GIVE US.

World of Warcraft has just had an expansion announced for next month, so it's safe to assume that, the WoW franchise is taken care of for awhile. But as you can see, Starcraft II has TWO expansions already announced. And by looking at the release dates we can see that Blizzard typically likes to release expansions for non-mmorpg games around a year after the last/original.

Looking at Diablo's release history we can see that Diablo II and it's expansion were both released on June 29. Diablo 3 was also announced on June 28, 2008 (coincidence?).
Starcraft doesn't seem to have a release correlation of any kind. But one thing should be noted: Starcraft II was announced on May 18, 2007, a little over 3 years before it's release.

So the next Blizzard release should be in /June - July/, 2011. And it looks like it's between a Starcraft II expansion pack and Diablo III. And by looking at the data, both have almost an equal shot at the spot. Since a Double release of some kind seems out of the question who will it be? Let me think of some reasons for each release:

    Starcraft II: expansion1
-Release at this time will be around a year after the orginal, keeping with the general trend.
-The game is already out and an expansion seems like a simple addition since even the names have already been released.
    ==
-Could be released in /November - December/, 2011 and still be in the 1 year expansion trend.

    Diablo III
-June seems to be a historical release month for the Diablo franchise.
-The game seems like it is near to completion.
-There will be HUGE sales with this title, so the sooner the better for Blizzard.
-Starcraft II was released roughly 3 years after it's announcement, Diablo III may follow this trend.
-Diablo III has alot of information released about it. All 5 classes, items, stats, interface etc. There seems to be little unknown.
    ==
-We have no idea how much of the game is completed since we don't know the outline.
    - It may not meet Blizzard's standards by this time.

I also must add, Blizzard HAS to have some sort deadline for all their games...just look at the release dates.

    --------------------
My personal opinion is that Diablo III will be released in /June - July/, 2011 and that a Starcraft II expansion will be released sometime after Novemever 2011.
