Mar 11, 2010Cvoisgreat posted a message on The Past, the Present, and the FutureI hope they do make an option to have either one. I very much prefer the individual health bars instead of the ones at the top of the screen.Posted in: News

Mar 11, 2010Cvoisgreat posted a message on The Past, the Present, and the FutureGood thread Scyber, but I think you might have forgotten something. In the debut barbarian/witchdoctor gameplay, whenever you held the cursor over the monster a health bar of the monster would hover over its head. But in the more recent gameplays, the health bar is actually on top of the screen just like DII.Posted in: News

Feb 19, 2010Cvoisgreat posted a message on Crafting in Diablo IIIPosted in: NewsQuote from "Nekrodrac" »I very rarely used crafting/transmutating items in D2. I almost always found nice items through regular monster slaying.
It was a rather underused feature as far I was concerned. I used the good old horadric cube as storage space mainly and for obligatory transmutation of quest items.
I guess if they had some really delicious recipes for crafting, my interest would definitely peak.
Am expecting something similar to the horadric cube but with a new skin and some extra features...
The extra features will be the 'secret to be revealed later'...
Ain't got no idea what they will be...since I barely used the thing is D2.
Yeah, same here, I never crafted anything. -

As for the graphics.. seriously, who cares? You still play D2 don't you?
Lol just because we play d2 doesn't mean we dont' care about the graphics of it. -

I appreciate the effort, but the character details (polygon-ish shoulder pads/single-layer clothing designs) look cheap and of low-production value.
I agree but then again, its not supposed to be seen at that close up of an angle. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

And there is no conformity involved. I was just using a general ethnicity that would fit the Wizard. You and I both know that the wizard isn't from Asia, but has some sort of oriental ethnicity. Thats just you being a smartass. Of course the Wizard isn't "Asian" because they're not in "Asia."
Also, the developers of Blizzard had stated that the Monk consisted of some sort of European decent during a presentation at Blizzcon 2009.

Finally, Blizzard put in races and genders and such for a reason: DIVERSITY!!!
So the conclusion: the Wizard is of oriental decent.

According to the scriptures - correct me if I am wrong - the following passage refers to the Wizard's origin:
"Well, it seems they neglected to teach our wizard manners on her native island of Xiansai, for she was a rude and uncooperative student from the very beginning."
Source: http://us.blizzard.com/diablo3/characters/wizard.xml
Xiansai certainly sounds like some Asian/Oriental country to me.
NOTE: I AM NOT A RACIST, I'm just trying to establish what races the characters are. In fact, I'm Asian and honestly, I'm a little excited to find out that the Wizard may be Asian as well.
What do you guys think the Wizard's race/origin is??

When you say "whats the harm in being a bad guy in a game" it ruins the quality of gameplay for whoever your victims are. Yes taking your anger out on people over the internet may be fun but thats pathetic. Go find another way to release your anger rather than ruining someone else's quality of gaming. And the name of the game has absolutely nothing to do with the attitude of how you want to play the game.
