posted a message on RNG QQ Threads
I suggest that these type of threads be moved to the off topic threads if they are just rants.

If they offer valid discussion then they should stay, But most if not all of them were just rants

    posted a message on Runewords - Duping - Droprates - D3 Implementation
It would be better if they did add what they were planing to add and that was Skill Runes with affixes. You socket the rune on your skill and it would change or enhance that skill. But Jay and the gang had issues with balancing. I guess as soon as an item gets beyond main stat, vit, CHC, CHD they get confused.

    posted a message on 3 hours farming T3 Rifts + Kadala = 0 legendaries
    Quote from TylerGamer84

I'm bored as hell with this game. It's so low on my gaming priority that I haven't played it for over a week. I get that "RNG is RNG", and I do not want legendary items handed to me like candy, even though it seems like they are to some people at this point, but I'm just done with this game for the time being. I played for hours and hours almost everyday since RoS launch and have only gotten a handful of legendary items. One was a clear upgrade, but the other few I use were side-grades at best and the rest went straight to the salvage table. The last straw for me was joining a game with my friend and he picks up 3-4 in less than half an hour and I got diddly squat. Not bashing the game, not calling for changes. I'm just bored with it and done for now.
Then take a break and come back at a later time.

I have only played for a few hours RoS since at the moment I do not have the passion to play the game. I did play quite some bit patch 2.0 in PTR and when it was live.

I will be playing RoS again at some point when I have the passion to do so.

    I agree with Shaggy.

Maybe we need a forum moderated by Dr. Phil or someone like that where these threads go to and get answered by him and his group of caring people.

To the OP. Here's a lollipop and everything will be ok. It is just the big bad evil RNG. This lollipop will make that big old meany RNG go away.

In D2 - Say I wanted a certain set item, well in D2 i could grind a specific area / boss for a few hours until I found it. Specific item locations were amazing and could limit the flawed RNG aspect.
    WHOA!

Hold on there, cowboy. You wanna start right out with a lie?

A "few hours"? Are you fucking serious? Try a few years.

In D3 - There is no specific area to farm certain gear. No certain bosses drop certain items, nothing of the sort. In D3 we can grind for hundreds and thousands of hours and only find crappy 2 handers all day everyday.

Another lie. Or do you always exaggerate so ridiculously when trying to make a point?"Hundreds of thousands of hours and only find crappy 2-handers".......

LOL? Dude, if you're gonna make a thread like this, get your facts straight and try not to purposely lie just to make a point. We aren't THAT stupid here.
Maybe he played mods for DII, which had much better drop rates. Some are cheat drop mods while others upped the difficulties and added tonnes of other options and quite often Uniques, Sets, Runewords were not necessary the best gear, White, Blue, Rare and Crafted could compete with them.

But if he was playing vanilla than he is way of target, unless he was duping or bought the items from a third party site.

Only place you had a decent shot at getting a legendary was Boss Runs and for the most part it was only 2 of them since those were the easy ones to run. Chances to get one of the high end uniques was slim to none.

posted a message on Barbarian or Crusader ? Dmg Output + Mobility + Game Style
I find the Crusader has more mobility even when he/she is moving slower. I wish there was slower run speed or maybe an option for walk. I find all the characters are moving too fast. I love slow moving tanks.

I have only played the Crusader for a few hours but then I have only played RoS for a few hours since I am burnt out on DIII again. I can only play DIII for short bursts of time which is strange since I could play the previous 2 games for years on end.

my suggestion is to try both characters and go from there. While playing you will learn which character is more suited for you and you will learn about which skills you like. Just pick skills you like using and then play what ever difficulty you feel comfortable using for that build.

No rerolls. The point of playing HC is that characters death's are permanent just like we only have one life to live in real life.

If you notice the servers are not that stable or laggy. That should be enough for you to decide it is not the time to play HC and play some SC if you need to have a Diablo fix.

posted a message on The Elephant In The Room ; Sockets
The problem is Critical Hit Damage gem, I would replace that effect from the gem and maybe even just change the option to socket on all equipment be tied to the Mystic or to the Jeweler maybe even all three artisans have to work on the item to add the socket.

You play a HC character and with that comes risk of death. You have been warned when creating the character that can happen.

I guess HC is not for you if you can not handle the loss of a HC Character.

posted a message on How do you guys get all those good legendaries?
Just kill everything you see, destroy all breakables, and loot all containers. The faster you are at killing them you are more likely to get Legendaries depending on how kind the RNG is. Also playing at higher torment levels increases the chance for a legendary to drop but playing it is dependent on what gear you have and how fast you can kill.

posted a message on Legendary vs. Set Poll!
I think I have only one set piece dropped and it was a blackbourne boots or something like that. I did have a few set recipes drop which for the most part makes me more than happy.

It does not really matter which one drops, they both make me happy

    Quote from damage424

I can see in the long term why they did this. But i also kinda feel like they should have just nerfed that cave by itself. I also wish they just increased mob density.
Increasing mob density is not really a solution. In many ways it can make it worse since it makes AoE skills more effective. If you had said maybe adding a chance for 1-4 elites there and maybe a chance for some random monster types that fit in the area. Some places should still have large mob density but it should not be everywhere.

posted a message on Proper Toughness Stacking (Video)
    Quote from MeatHeadMikhail

You should really watch the video. I address all of this.

With higher mitigation through armor/AR, each point of life is 'worth more'. Therefore, paragon point stacking for toughness is generally AR > armor % > life %. I explain why. Lower life amount with higher mitigation is also better for sustain, as each point of health regenerated is also 'worth more'.
It will vary depending on the class, the build and the gear you have. I generally found a balanced approach to work the best. I never look at the paper doll stats since they are misleading. I just use that as a base reading but look at the true numbers. If you already have high armor but your resists are low you should look at all resists since you are likely to get more bang for the buck with that.

But still you need to have a solid life pool since sometimes you might encounter one of the elite super packs that are close to another super elite pack which complements and works well with that pack and wind up taking tonnes of damage that mitigation helps to soak up the damage but your healing is not able to keep up or you get hit with a massive blow that your small life pool can not take.

Some classes do have healing based on max life so having high life makes the healing more effective but still you will want high damage mitigation and some of that is not shown on the Toughness rating.

I would like to watch but like I stated I have to be careful of what I use myinterneton since 10 gigs is not that much and watching videos eat up a lot of bandwidth.

I do agree that most often All resist and Armor is likely better than life for the Paragon points but there are exceptions based on what your character hasavailablefor gear and the build.

posted a message on The RMAH Destroyed Diablo 3 and I Told You So
No Rares should be competitive with Legendaries, But Legendaries should have niche effects. Only the high end rolled rares should be competitive. Even Blues should be somewhat competitive with the highest rolls for affixes to make up for the lack of affixes.

Itemization is about having different types of options for gear especially in a loot finding game.
