posted a message on Diablo 3 hype is quieten slowly
I'm not really THAT interested of Diablo 3 anymore. I have refreshed Diablo news too often, for a two years now :(
How do you keep your fire on? Or do you feel the same?

Barb skills on the other hand are quite impressive, exept for that whirlwind.
I never really liked it, looks like a 300 pound ballet dancer....
New version is better (announced in Blizzcon 2009)

Barb skills are most impressive so far :)

I hope the tone things to a good point.
Remember this game is made to be played on multiplay, and party will take around 4 members. If every effect is too flashy the game will become too chaotic.

Particulary i think magic missile and arcane enchant weapons should not be so purple. It should be some kind of very palid purple. I allways thought those "pure" magical energies should look colorless because of it's neutrality.

Another effect i dislike is the barbarian Ground Stomp. If you play attention, when he use it alot of white cracks appears on the ground. Those white cracks looks lame and magical (wich is terrible since the barbarian should be 100% magicless).

And I don't like corpse spiders. The spiders are so big and fat wtf. They should be thounsant of small ones, like carrion swarm. It's alot more creepy.

But i really love all other effects. Specially the fire spells, time bubble and the barbarian physical attacks (they really made some boring attack, like cleave, look great without adding to much flash).
I agree everything you say

Do you want to kill our computers with a single lightning effect o.O
They have plenty of time optimize their code :D wc3 is (for example) very optimized, I'm sure they will do good job with this one too.

I hope graphics won't be dated when it finally comes out.

You can't compare dragon age's graphics to Diablo. They are in two different categories. Blizzard isn't trying to get the best graphics, just cool looking ones and I think their lightening is cool looking.
Of course we can compare it to almost everything, like real photo above for example :)
I know they make real good job with everything, but I think they would be glad if we give them some real feedback, not only common "Damn you guys are godlike!".

Here's another photo how it should look:

Thinner design with higher lightning (changing/blinking) effect would give better results, dunno...

Ohhh why do you dislike lightning ??? It's look very great and realistic, not like d2...
    Dragon Age got it right:

Color is much better than Diablo's. This screenshot isn't best for showing this, purpose isn't fill whole screen with this thing :) I like those little things around arms. I really liked Dragon Age spells in general, very nice looking.

Multiple big area AoE's, are only way feel some power with magic ;)
I personally dislike that Wizard's electric thing, it looks terrible.

Everything with barbarian is just right, that melee strength is just awesome

posted a message on Looking Back to Look Forward: The Fifth Class, More Speculation
Until lately, fifth class was the reincarnation of Rogue. It was originally intended to be the class announced in Blizzcon 2009 instead of the monk.
Here's more confirmation about this one...

    Jay Wilson:
Yeah and we will! All the barbarian players are delighted and all the necromancers hate us. I understand, I don't begrudge them that. I would hate me too! But what I would say is that when we announce the next class, which is quite similar to a previous class, then all those players will hate us too. You can't make everybody happy, but I think when the game finally come out players will find there's a good class for them, one they will love as much as the ones that came before. And if they don't, I absolutely promise that in the expansions we'll consider bringing back old classes. We just don't want to do it with the first release. We want to establish our identity.
