Jan 20, 2011Hey guys. I'm was bored as hell and didn't know what to do so I decided to make a poll about D3's release date! I don't know if it's been done before, I hope not.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Personally, I think D3 will be out by the end of this year. So Q4, around November/December.
What do you guys think?
Jan 13, 2011I've played Nox before(great game btw) but nope, I haven't tried the Capture the Flag mode. Seems like an awesome idea for D3 though, I would love having different mods to play such as this. Arena is cool but might get old after a while.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Dec 24, 2010Lol I've had a WoW dream once too.. about a year ago. In the dream I was playing with my bro and his friend, we were killing this weird boss in a dungeon that was like this giant tree or plant-monster.. he could grow roots underneath the ground and grab your feet to immobilize you. Was pretty fucked up and didn't really make any sense.. I don't even think theres a boss like that in the game.. XDPosted in: Warcraft & WoW

Yeah man, thats a great idea. Maybe even encountering the Butcher again that would be sweet.Quote from Phrayed
I think it'd be cool when you go into the first dungeon (the original dungeon from Diablo 1) and you see the Butcher's room and stuff like that, maybe his corpse on the ground.
I agree. Wirt's Leg and the Soj definitely need to return somehow. Those items were just too awesome to be forgotten.Quote from ThereisnocowlevelI'd like to see Wirt's leg as an item again. I want to see the Stone of Jordan return (not necessarily with the same stats)
Sets! Yeah hope they don't forgot to bring back a few of those too. Like you said, Tals would be cool for the wizard, maybe Trang Oul's for the WD(:D) or even a revamped Immortal King set for the Barb.. would be epic as hell!Quote from flobernogginhmmmm i think it would be neat to see some NPC's wearing some of the special sets from D2 like mavs, tals or ik with minimal art updating, just simple glow
Sadly, I think the DarkWanderer is dead :(. I admit he was a pretty creepy and interesting character. I myself wish he could return.. well we never know, there might be a new DarkWanderer... (Tyreal maybe? :P)Quote from Dolaiim
I'd like to see the dark wanderer make a comeback, either as an broken-shell-of-former-self NPC, or a fully given-in-to-evil badassified boss.
Haha! I admit that d'be a fucking awesome cameo! D3 better have cows in it.. i'd be pissed if there wasnt.Quote from Lt. VenomI would like to see the Cow King return, maybe as a Zombie Cow along with all his zombie cow minions. What I mean by this is they all retain their names like Hell Bovine and Cow King and their forms with rotting flesh. They came back for vengeance to udderly kill you.
I too hope the 'old runes' will be atleast talked about and not fully forgotten. (Cuz of the new skill rune system..)Quote from enkeria• A piece of useless stones in a quest that spells "Ral Ort Tal" if you put them together. Giving you 10 goldcoins and a +1 skill from a random questgiver.
I knew you guys would come up with cool ideas! Keep em coming
Dec 8, 2010Hey guys, just wanted to share what I've been hoping D3 will have. Almost like a Christmas present, I've been hoping and wishing D3 will be filled with this. Its small and simple but important nonetheless... I'm talking about Cameos.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
As in, previously seen characters, items and areas that return again.
Like in D2 when you go back to Tristram.. only to see the city you once saved, burned and pillaged. Meeting an old friend again, a dead Griswold, that you gotta beat the shit out of!. Then finding Wirt's leg, which at first you don't know why the hell you'd keep, discovering later on that its needed to create a portal to a secret cow level!
Now aside from the cow level part everything makes sense. It helps the player immerse himself into the game by making a story with a past, making the present all the more interesting. Thats why I love that part of D2, the way they bring stuff back from D1, is just awesome imo. This is what I am hoping D3 will have, a bunch of moments that make you think and remember stuff in previous Diablo games.
Personally what I'd like to see are the classes from D2 make a return as NPCs or something. Going back to Lut Golein or Kurast. The return of the chat-gem and having it be useful for something! Having items like the Hellforge Hammer or the Horadric Staff as a unique(and powerful) items would also be wicked.
So guys tell me, what stuff from D1 & D2 would you like to see return ?
Nov 28, 2010Aww shit. I was so excited at first.. I thought it was a real DungeonKeeper sequel. Why make it an MMO ?? fuck. So lame. I have nothing against MMOs but DungeonKeeper had its own style, which was fucking awesome. Now its gonna be like all the rest. Disappointing.Posted in: Other Games

I'd like you or anyone else to find the source for this. I want to believe you, but I don't remember this.Quote from lowl
They said that the monsters wouldnt be reused the same way as d2. they said it would be one long stream of monsters and that, for example, you wouldnt find really powerful fallen in act one hell. so think of it like this: act 1 fallen|act 1Nightmare hulky fallen with faceraping wepns|act 1Hell ghost-fallen with spell-o-ownage.
I think I remember that quote, but I read it more to the effect that it'll be one continuous stream during one playthrough. Like you wont see Fallen and then Carvers later on. But once you get to Nightmare you'll probably go through the same monsters again. Just more champion packs and stuff. I don't think the entire thing changes from difficulty to difficulty. You'll still see Fallen in Nightmare, although it did say that there are at least 2 other types of Fallen.
I do remember something like this being said a while back. But I think they said that basically there would be monsters in Hell difficulty that you won't encounter in normal, for example, but you would still see monsters from previous difficulties only stronger. Although like I said, its been awhile so I'm not 100% sure my memory is correct.

Isn't that a gun at the end? that the Hunter gives to the other girl..
Umm I just looked at the vid again.. I guess it could be a crossbow, makes more sense. True.. But I don't know, I was certain it was a gun.. Like the way the video ends, with the weapon given to her and the close-up on it, seemed to me like it was a "reveal within a reveal" kind of thing. As if that weapon was new to us and the world of sanctuary... or something. It does look alot like a gun tho, amirite?
But bah, you're probably right. Nvm.
Edit: 200th post Btw! Hellz yaa.
Oct 22, 2010Sweeeeeeeeeet. Now that all classes are revealed.. I can finally sleep at nightPosted in: News
Actually, I find it kind of weird that this turns out being the final class. My first guess at it, about 2 years ago (since I thought it would be the 4th revealed), was a "Van Helsing" type of character. Which I thought would be named "Slayer" instead of Demon Hunter.. but still pretty close :P.
Then as time past, I slowly changed my thoughts, drawing further from my original guess. I went from Slayer to Force-of-Nature-Archer, Shapeshifter, then to Knight. Who would've known my first guess would turn out to be right. Awesome!:). Although I thought they said guns weren't very Diablo-ish and wouldn't be implemented?.. Anyways, I'm glad they chose to do this class, fits very well within the theme IMO.

Wizards and Barbs look awesome! I'm really happy with their work.
The witchdoctors though.. look like shit . Really.. I am disappoint. I was proudly showing the pics to my bro earlier today and I just skipped over the WDs... that's how bad I think they are.
Oct 7, 2010I feel bad for the fans that bought plane tickets and Blizzcon tickets thinking this year would be Diablo's time to shine, like they said it would be. Because even if it has 3hours of intense news.. it still doesn't compare to WoW and SC2's time, which means Diablo isn't really their main priority once again. It better be fucking sweet news, or not even death will save them from me.Posted in: News

hmmmm! nice pik, but
This is the way it should be
Not so colorful, without the warm tones.
and yes, cold and dark tones.
And a few scratches, after all who struggle with
demons can not look as pretty clean and fragrant.
Maybe he went shopping in the morning.
Do you agree?
Yeah I do find your pic looks better. Good job you should work for blizz.
Sep 30, 2010Kaio posted a message on Weekly Updates from D3 Development: Witch Doctor Gear RevealedWell the helm looks badass.. I can't say the same for the rest of the set.Posted in: News
Let's hope it looks better from a higher camera view.
Aug 26, 2010Wow good job all you guys, seriously.. I had to look at them, switching pages again and again just to make up my mind on who to vote for.Posted in: News
I voted for;
-ArtofTy for best art. Really, you're awesome! Nuff said.
-Krono674 for best lore. Yours is the easiest for me to imagine existing in the world of sanctuary, plus, it's an awesome idea. Your idea made me hope the barbarians that died in D2 would come back, so we can make'em die again >8).. to free their souls ofcourse.. :whistling:
-Hyralism for best Mechanics. Cuz it looks like you really took the time to think about cool spells your monster would have. The spell ideas are new and original, like the puppeteer thing, which is awesome btw.
So there you have it, my honest opinions. I wish all the participants the best of luck. I can't wait to see who will win.
Aug 18, 2010Fuck yeah ! this is awesomePosted in: News
I think this is one thing Diablo definitely needed, it'll bring alot more customization to the game. Also to the people that are saying it looks like WoW.. you do know blacksmiths existed in real life right?.. That they aren't really inspiring themselves from WoW but more of the real world lol
Jul 29, 2010Wow goodjob. Could very well be the 5th class, looks cool enough Imo. To me (from what I see.. so blurry :\) it looks exactly like what the game needs to fill in the last spot..Posted in: News
I admit it could be some humanoid raider enemy too.. I dunno, Looks cool tho
