Everyone knows that the general public is educated and reasonable.
And the general public is also pro-blizzard as the folks in this forum!
They would never misconstrue this character line-up the way the OP does.
This thread is stupid. Gawsh. *tosses hair* *rolls eyes*

Also, I would like an Arabian character. Preferably with scimitar or something.
I'm tired of these guys being mercs damnit. (also racist?)

...is this class the most racist thing blizzard has ever done?
The strong and proud barbarian... white.
The wise and knowledgeable wizard... white.
The righteous and holy monk... white.
The jittery and creepy witch doctor... black.
Way to go, blizzard!
Lol, maybe I'm reading too much into it.

from the original D2 over to D3 --
Barbarian --> Barbarian
Sorceress --> Wizard
Necromancer --> Witch Doctor
Paladin --> Monk
Amazon --> ???
Now, if I had to guess, the next class will be the Amazon analog.
That is, ranged, physical damage type character.
Hunter doesn't fit the bill, because he will most likely summon animals to his aide,
which the Witch Doctor already does.
Ranger more accurately fits the bill. So I would go with Ranger.

That's a great idea. Although, I would not make finding sets too easy, otherwise it would diminish the value of the sets and remove justification for the special abilites. But it would definitely allow more people to enjoy set armor.

Or perhaps even increase the cost of using such abilities, like disabling the multiple set item stats after use of the ability (which would be re-enabled after the cooldown was up). This would give the "glow" added meaning in PvP for both the player and his opponent. It would also give the player a tough decision in PvP... "Should I sacrifice my multi-stats and try to finish this quick, or should I try to take him out with my gear as it is?" I'm sure they'll come up with something.
:thumbsup:
Which is why the rethinking of armor sets is a good idea. It would be a reward fitting the hard work put in by the player. God knows how long people had to play to complete these sets... they shouldn't find them to be underwhelming.

I was wondering, how is Blizzard going to handle armor sets in D3?
They could handle them exactly like they did in D2, where equipping multiple items from the same set would unlock more stats than equipping the items individually.
That's all cool, but with D3, they can go so much further.
For example, equipping a complete Tal Rasha's set could give the Wizard access to a brand NEW spell (unlike runes, which only augment spells). It could be this uber destructive spell with a ridiculously long cooldown. Maybe they could add lore to it.. ex: "This spell was created by Tal Rasha himself."
Or maybe equipping the complete Immortal King Set, the Barbarian could summon the Immortal King for a brief moment. He would show up, deliver a devestating attack which kills 50 monsters, and when it's all over, he would say something cocky like "You summoned me, for this..." And then leave just as quickly as he came. (Again, ridiculously long cooldown.)
They could tie it into some D2 mechanics. In D2, you're character glows when he wears a completed set. The same could be true for D3... except the "glow" would only show up when the cooldown for the special set ability is up... signifying that you can perform the summon or the spell. In D2, the glow was just an aesthetic reward, in D3 it could be functional! It would be a better reward for gathering the complete set, and it would be distinctly Diablo since WoW hasn't done anything quite like this.
Do you guys have any other fun ideas for Armor sets?
I hope Blizzard employees have fun with them.
Sorry if this has already been discussed.
