That would be good too, all for one and one for all, everyone drink up! Fill your goblet o' mana! But I dont think blizz will. Thereve put themselves too much in to the different energy as fa as we know yet.

ye, i mean, i got no expectations about it u know... also dont belive they will comeback with simple mana for everyone... but for me, it just wont look so diablo few anymore, slowly and slowly it begeins to lose that classic feeling...
i understand that are trying really really hard to make a better game, awesome gameplay feel, unique art, unique chars, custumization at its maximum... but i dont know... i just would like buy D3 box in a store, go home, put it on, choose my char, start a new game, and then see the classic Life Orb/Mana Orb on there spot, and everything suddenly (even tho they've changed the whole game, the whole mechanics...) feels just right at the end of the day... and its just about getting used to it, as we did after going from D1 to D2...

i just want MANA back, please... is that toooo hard? just bring mana back for everyone, it was so nice to see in Barbarian+WD gameplay with the Mana Globes with different colors and fx! i was so glad to see that, it looked great, simple, straigh! and its diablo basic stuff... why change??? custumization? making chars more unique...oh ye... great! almost forgot...

you seem too forget that science is not always machines...gunpowder existed during middle ages (China) so having a guy who doesnt believe in religion and focuses on his science...think about it he uses a fast shooting crossbow (3 shots quickly and a lengthy reload) and then have things like gunpowder sacs too have exploding arrows... or have bomb like items and traps that use scinetific stuff...we are not talking machines and steam power just simple scientists using basic trial and error too figure out what works..

I mean how can you say that diablo shouldnt have a scientific feel they have windmills, how do you think armor is made...a magician now its a guy who uses metals and uses them scientifically...no ritual bullcrap,

this could give diablo a new approach and perspective....this scientific fella could not be liked for his heretic ways but he is still a good person, giving us an anti hero

he could be doing the quest just because he wants too solve the demon riddle scientifically - fits in well i think

they bloody have mines with mini rail tracks for small carts which is no medievil an i am sure they use dynamite too blow shit up...

    science FTW!!!!

Who cares about Gunpowder?? the sorceress can 'summon' meteors, cast fireballs at will, the wizard can warp time...the druids,twisters... what could a simple 'fire exploding arrow' (please, not like immolation amazon skill...cause thats magical stuff...) do?? i guess nothing...

I'm impressed with D3 if it becomes my fav game instead of D1 :~~

i just could not say any different or better than this...

    Quote from "Eldritch" »

    1. If any chapter or single area rivals or surpasses the pure atmosphere of D1's Tristram and its nightmarish level-by-level descent through an impossible multitude of Gothic cathedral catacombs and oppressive tunnels into Hell.
    2. If the graphics aren't obnoxiously outdated by release.
    3. If I ever think to myself, 'Matt Uelwho?'

ok, this one, is also pretty much what i had in mind...

    Quote from "ZharTheMad" »
    - If, like Diablo 1, it can make me crap my pants and turn the lights on just to go down another level..

    agreed

    Quote from "pr00f" »
    - i can wander trough tristram and recognize the houses, caves, river etc from diablo 1, except with a little more graphical detail (and still dark/darker).

    - if the warrior returns (with plated armor).

    - if i can still blaze diablo trough the wall with my staff of apocalypse

yes, d1 tristram, perfectly made, not that d2 bullshit, that the chars were like the size of a house almost!! Also, seems that in d3 the cathedral looks like its on the top of a hill or something...in other words - i will be impressed with d3 if they can do at least some part of the old d1 tristram reconizeble... And don't say to me its 100% changed because of the 20 years or so...

    Quote from "Proficient" »
if they capture teh feeling of d1.

if the enemy sound effects adn death animations are like d1

    that also...

[quote name='ZharTheMad']If the monsters have Diablo 1's epicness. Most of Diablo 2's monsters are quite forgettable in my opinion. :P

    have to agree with that...

I Will Be Impressed With D3 if... THEY DON'T MAKE A DIFFERENT 'MANA' TYPE FOR EVERY CHAR... AND DON'T SAY TO ME "BUT THE WD IS GONNA HAVE MANA''... I WANT ALL OF THEM TO HAVE MANA, CAUSE MANA IS THE BASIC OF THE BASIC TO USE MAGIC, ANY KIND OF MAGIC! AT ALL! IT IS NOT A WAY TO MAKE CHARS MORE UNIQUE, ITS SIMPLY BULLSHIT...

Well, just impossible to read all the posts... but, after reading a lot of them, i dont know... somehow, i just think blizzard could, and they will if they want to, just simply forget this idea of having a ranged class just because there isn't one yet...
But, to figure it out... the ideia of thinking on a place in sanctuary is really the key...
So, they just wont create someone from dreadlands, just because it is the old barbarian lands, the old north part from D2's map... so i kind a think that barbarians just fell that area, the place is not the same anymore, but they still come from there u know...
Aside of that, the might come out with someone from Westmarch, as Khanduras and Westmarch already got in battle from D1 stories... anotherthing that just makes me wonder, the Westmarch Gulf, that bay around there, just seems a place, somehow interesting... who knows they just comeup with a sailer guy, kind a based on the "Meshief" ideia from D2 (act 2 and 3), but not an a arabian type, more like a estern type!!
so... i couldnt go further... just need some beer to keep thinking about it...

    i wanned to say "WESTERN"...

posted a message on What Do YOU Want To Know About Diablo 3?
Q: The decision about making a diferent kind of mana source (Mana globe) for every char is really final by now??? Are they not concerned about completly changing such a classical characteristic (feel) from diablo 1 and 2 ???

posted a message on I miss something in D3 classes...
    Quote from "Elight" »
After being a part of this community for a little while, I'm realizing that there aren't many of us here who actually played D1, or at least played before D2 came out, so very few know anything about that D1 aura.

But yeah, now that you mention it, there was that sense of mystery and discovery, coupled with the feeling of something threatening around every darkened corner that's been missing for me even in D2. But anyhow, after watching that gameplay video of all the classes together, I had no motivation to want to be apart of all that. The attitude seems to have changed from "I will fight off this evil that is engulfing the land" to more of "I'm the bigger badass that can destroy demons." There just isn't a class that showcases a combination of nobility and decency.

....and to this guy, these motivations were possiblities for each class, not specific to the actual ones we played. The actual character, the warrior was good hearted and driven by a sense of duty. His nature was illustrated through dialogue throughout the game....like after you beat Leoric, he replies, "Rest well Leoric, I'll find your son"....or after beating Bartuc later on, he states with such emotion, "YOUR REIGN OF PAIN HAS ENDED!!". That's definately a character who has a strong sense of duty and good will towards other. I don't see that anywhere in the D3 classes from what we've been shown.

Finaly someone who knows what im talking about... as i tryed to say in my last post, the more i play diablo 1, or, the more i revist that old days when i used to play it... the more i just feel that lack of conection between diablo 1 and 2, and even more from d1 to d3...
so, thanks for the coment man! i just felt better after reading it!

posted a message on I miss something in D3 classes...
well i think i have to agree with that! i kinda miss something about the attitude and the few from the D1 chars, but i actually dont miss it from D2 as many many people defend... Recently i just did something i really wanned for so long! i played D1 allover again, with the whole 3 classes, but i did it like, reading every single tome and listening to every single char in the village! and its just amazing! how the story calls you, how everything is just perfect! the way the villagers talk about each other! every piece of conversation about some quest or so, also tells you about the life in tristram and people who live or lived there!
And the 3 classes are so well structured, i dont know maybe more 'mature like' ! they have this role in the world! and they just go there and do what they have to do , because they are the best in what they do! like heroes, but not 'heros' like you hear from Monks opening video, that sounded like crap!
so what im trying to say is, i do miss something! and its essentialy from D1!
and as more a play D2, and i expect D3 to be good, its going so far from D1 SO FAR... the more i see, the less i like!
JUST WANNED SOME REAL BLIZZARD NORTH DIABLO 1 SEQUENCE!
    take care guys!
